(5) Who was not happy with the return of the prodigal son?

His brother.

Among so many examples in the Bible, we perceive that all those who have been betrayed and mistreated by their own brethren, have been greatly blessed and kept by God.

A man's enemy are member's of his own household (Matthew 10:36)

In life, people you have considered your family may turn their backs on you, their rejection may be a path God has planned for your glory. Only, never hold a grudge, go where you will be considered, appreciated and celebrated

Even if your own family don't believe in you, remember that God has big plan in you.

Their betrayal shall turn to your testimony this year.✍️

You don't need to struggle for anything. You don't need to struggle with your enemies. All you need to do is to please God by living a righteous life and live by faith (Hebrew 11:6) coupled with life of prayers (Luke 18:1) and leave the rest for God to do for you. May the Holy Spirit give you the deep understanding of the above scriptures in Jesus name ! Amen

Sin means satan identification number. ''He that committeth sin is of the devil'', says the Scriptures. (1John3:8 ) The moment you sin without repentance, your have received devil's mark which is sin. And once you receive his mark of sin, you belongs to him. Sin is the most dangerous weapon that the devil is using against humanity today. Sin is a rope that tires sinner to the devil. Sin destroys destiny faster than you think. Sin disconnects sinner from God (Isaiah 59:1-2). What is the way out ? ''For this purpose the son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.''(1John 3:8 ). All you need to do, is to come to Jesus, confess and forsake your sins. Is only atoning blood of Jesus that can wash you neat and set you free from sin and satanic cage. Are you ready to be free from satan today ? Then come to my Jesus and you are welcome to my Jesus !

On different occasions, during His earthly ministry, our Lord Jesus Christ taught through His personal example and teachings the importance of daily communion with God (Mark 1:35). Though He is the Son of God and co-eternal with God, yet being human, He saw it necessary to commune with the father. To maintain the heavenly life in His soul, He continuously separated Himself from men to fellowship with God (Mark 1:35). His life of prayer attracted the attention of His disciples so much that they pleaded with Him to teach them how to pray. Despite His busy schedule, Christ set time apart to seek the will of God in prayer and support for His ministry. Multitude pressed hard on Him to hear Him and receive healing, yet He found time for quiet or secrets communion with God. If Christ needed to pray, how much more do we need to constantly be in communion with God ! It may cost us the sacrifice of night rest or our relationship with our friends and business or Christian activities, yet we must find time to be alone with God. Much discussions with man lead to spiritual leakage of spiritual power which is very dangerous to our spiritual life. It is from heaven alone that the power to live a heavenly life on earth can come. ''Christ-like praying in secret is the secret of Christ-like living in public ''. If we want to be like Christ, we must pray like Christ. ''Men ought always to pray and not to faint'', says the Lord Jesus. May God release the spirit of prayer upon your life today in Jesus name ! Amen

How shall we escape ? (Hebrew 2:1-3) lt is at the cross that the curse inherited by man was cancelled. In His infinite mercy and love, God gave His only begotten Son to reconcile the fallen man back to Himself. It was God's initiative to send Christ as the propitiation for the sin of fallen man. The devil had dominion over man, but Christ gave His life to ransom man from who had the power of death (Hebrew 2:14). Salvation from the power of Satan and sin is now possible for whoever will accept God's plan of salvation for his life (Romans 10:13). Unfortunately, many people still neglect this so great salvation. Instead, people are desirous of sin, which will ruin them. Those who reject the glad tidings will settle for the sad tidings. How shall they escape God's Judgement if they neglect God's mercy ? How shall they escape God's wrath if they adamantly embrace fleshly pleasures ? The ways of transgresors are hard because God is angry with them every day (Psalm 7:11). In order to escape the wrath of God, the sinner must quickly run into the bosom of Christ. He must humbly realise his sinfulness, repent of his sin and accept Jesus as his Lord and saviour ! Are you ready for repentance now ?

THE POWER OF PRAYER (Acts 4:23-32) Prayer is talking to God or pouring out souls to Him on behalf of ourselves or other people. Many believers go through life defeated and unfulfilled or live substandard lives because they have either neglected or have not tapped their prayer potential to the fullest. Praying must not be regarded as a pretty duty that is swallowed up in the activities of the day. Praying deserves the best of our time and strength. If we care to stir up the gift that God has graciously bestowed on us, we will find that the ''effectual fervent prayer of the righteous man availeth much''. The possibility of prayer are almost limitless. Prayer has raised the dead set back the sun, stopped the rain for a period three and a half years, secured children for barren women, brought healing to the sick and deliverance to the demon possessed. Besides, prayer has led to the salvation, sanctification and Holy Ghost baptism of many prayerful heart. Our need of provision, protection, security, power for service etc are met as we go to God in prayer. Preaching never edifies a prayerles soul. God think nothing of prayerless souls. Gospel cannot be extended by a prayerless preacher. The believer has no authority except in prayer. When we are tempted to give up our Christian faith, when we are under severe persecutions in moments of crisis, worry and anxiety, when situation appear hopeless, we must pray. The praying Christian is a victorious Christian. To have power in prayer, however, we must have been genuinely born again, sanctified and baptised in the Holy Ghost. We must give ourselves to prayer. Moreover, we must by specific in our request and prayer in the name on Jesus Christ. May God help you to pray and pray alright in Jesus name ! Amen

If you are a believer in Christ l have a message for you tonight. The message is very short and simple. And the message is this; whatever profession or any field you found yourself, attach it to the gospel in line with great commission of ''go ye into the world and preach the gospel to every creature''. (Mark 16:15 Matthew 28:19-29) You don't need to attend Theological college and ordain as a pastor or an evavangelist before you will become a soul winner. You are saved to save others. You are in the kingdom to bring others to the kingdom. ''Great Commission'' is a must for all genuinely saved believers in Christ. Christ must not be disappointed on you on the last day. May He not deny you on the last day as you are not going to deny Him now in Jesus name ! My humble prayer for you!!
