📌 Memory Verse: 1 Peter 1:7
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.

LET YOUR TEST AND TRIALS MEET YOU PREPARED

It is important for every believer to know that at some point in their lives they will unavoidably experience trial of faith, whether they like it or not. Your faith will be tried. The trial of faith is when it seems that God has left you and decided to test your faith. At that time, nothing around you will seem to be of help. The prayer of the brethren will only be to sustain you so that you do not crash. When your time comes, you will need to pray. That rush-rush prayer cannot sustain you at that time. You will need to move beyond your usual memorized words of prayer.

Many lukewarm Christians crash whenever their faith is tested. They backslide, deny God and many times cannot endure it, they renounce their faith and look for alternatives elsewhere. Do you see what happened to Peter? He couldn’t pray for one hour, all the disciples of Jesus were lukewarm when Jesus was still with them and you can see that Peter denied Jesus. Likewise, any Christian that is not praying much during a sensitive period of his/her life will find himself denying God, under the guise of ‘it doesn’t matter,’ ‘I’m tired,’ or simply ‘lukewarmness.’

Build yourself up ahead of time. Before your time of trial of faith will come, let it meet you well prepared. Maintain a consistent prayer time and live a prayer life. Avoid rushed prayers and never depend only on the covering of your Pastor or the prayer band of the Church. Everyone’s faith will be tested.

PRAYER POINT: Father, strengthen my faith ahead of time. Don’t let me be caught unprepared in Jesus’ name.

ACTIVITY: Add 30 minutes to your daily prayer time this week praying in the Spirit.
