His Eminence Dr Adetunji Adeonigbagbe, Founder of the Celica Church of Christ International, has released a sobering prophetic message for the year 2026, warning of deep national crises, global turbulence, and the exposure of long-hidden secrets—while offering hope to those who remain steadfast in faith.
Delivering the prophecy during a solemn spiritual declaration, Dr Adeonigbagbe employed vivid metaphors to describe Nigeria’s condition, likening the nation to a dry river where fishing is impossible, a ship drifting on deep seas unsure of when it will reach shore, and a crashed aircraft unable to fly again. According to him, these images capture a nation weighed down by unresolved problems and leadership paralysis.
“A lot of deep secrets will be exposed this year,” the cleric warned, describing 2026 as a year of revelation and reckoning.
Judgment, Repentance and Reward
At the heart of the prophecy is a strong spiritual warning that the end is drawing nearer, with judgment looming as “the cup is getting full.” Dr Adeonigbagbe urged people to live in reverence to God, noting that everyone will be rewarded according to their deeds.
He, however, assured that Nigerians who remain steadfast in faith despite hardship will reap abundantly in 2026, enjoying divine favour and blessings. He further called for sincere worship and purity of heart, citing Psalm 34:10 to affirm that those who trust in the Lord will not lack any good thing.
Nigeria: Leadership in Confusion
Turning to national affairs, the Celica Church founder warned of serious crises unless sustained prayers are offered for Nigeria. He compared the country to a man hunchbacked both front and back, now burdened with a load on his head, questioning how such a man could move forward.
According to the prophecy, Nigeria’s leaders will be confused and directionless, struggling to find solutions to insecurity and governance challenges. He accused the political leadership of drama and deception, likening their actions to a fixed wrestling contest where a weaker fighter pays to be declared winner.
“Is that a real victory?” the prophecy queried, casting doubt on claimed successes in governance and security.
Shame, Exposure and Fearful Incidents
The prophecy also warned of shameful incidents in 2026, predicting that attempts by leaders to hide deep secrets would fail. Echoing the famous warning that “things fall apart when the centre cannot hold,” Dr Adeonigbagbe cautioned that concealed wrongdoing would come to light.
He further urged prayers against a major incident capable of triggering nationwide fear, stressing that intercession remains the only safeguard against looming danger.
‘Nigeria: To Be or Not To Be’
Perhaps the most striking declaration in the prophecy was the repeated phrase: “Nigeria, to be or not to be.” Despite abundant human and natural resources, the nation, he said, has failed to reach its promised destiny due to the actions of:
unseen forces,
powerful middlemen who influence leadership selection,
wrong leaders and complicit citizens.
He identified nepotism, tribalism and self-centredness as forces tearing apart the fabric of the nation.
Global Warnings: Economy, War and Turbulence
Beyond Nigeria, the prophecy carried stark global warnings. South Africa was singled out for prayers against economic downturn, while intercession was also urged to prevent war and crisis in three countries in 2026.
In contrast, a miraculous divine event was foretold in the Arab world—one that would openly demonstrate the supremacy and glory of God. Asian countries were also advised to pray against a great wind capable of causing severe disruption.
More broadly, Dr Adeonigbagbe warned of rapid economic decline across several nations and declared that from 2026 to 2028, the world would experience constant turbulence.
“The wind will blow and tear down mighty trees,” the prophecy stated, warning that no nation or institution—no matter how powerful—is immune.
A Call to Prayer
The prophecy concluded with an urgent call for fervent prayer to avert sudden collapse of nations, institutions and systems, presenting 2026 as a defining year that will separate preparedness from complacency.
