We felicitate today with our Local Ordinary and Episcopal Adviser, Most Rev. Dr. Gabriel'Leke Abegunrin, Archbishop Catholic Archdiocese of Ibadan on the 43rd Anniversary of his Priestly Ordination. Many thanks to our Baba, Most Rev. Dr. Gabriel 'Leke Abegunrin, Archbishop Catholic Archdiocese of Ibadan, for granting the privilege and honor to Serra Club of Ibadan to present our Annual Appreciation Tokens to the Priests in the Catholic Archdiocese of Ibadan recently. May our mother Mary, mother of Vocations, continue to intercede for all our Priests with Consecrated Religious Sisters and Brothers as they work to bring many souls to salvation. We also thank our Serrans Cecilia Oyesiji (Immediate Past President, Serra Club of Ibadan) and Serran Francis Arogundari for presenting the Tokens on our behalf of Serra Club of Ibadan.

Message from Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria CBCN

Dear Frs, Sisters and our beloved lay Faithful, I am directed by the Archbishop to inform you of the new dimension to the proposed peaceful protest March planned for Ash Wednesday Feb 26, 2020 by the Catholic Bishops' conference of Nigeria. The peaceful protest march will take place but only in Abuja during the Catholic Bishops conference of Nigeria gathering between March 1 to March 6, 2020 where All the Bishops will lead the March with priests, religious and lay faithful of Abuja Archdiocese and those who can join them. However, Catholics in other dioceses in the country are expected to observe the abstinence and fasting on Ash Wednesday February 26, 2020, put on black clothing or wear a black arm band to signify that we are mourning all victims of kidnapping, banditry, and incessant killings of our people as well as registering our peaceful protest without a March. Kindly pass on the information to all Catholics.
