Sometimes, we need to focus less on being busy with church activities and more on sitting at the feet of Jesus.

Just like Mary, who chose to sit and listen when Jesus visited their home, we must make room for the Word.

Our spirit grows through the Word of God. As we grow, we become better equipped to reflect Christ beyond the four walls of the church.

It is not just about what we do in church. It is about who we are becoming and how we live when we step outside.

May our lives continually produce the fruit of the Spirit.

How was service for you today?

For us, it was good as usual! 🙌🏾

Today, we continued our series on “Burdens, Carriers and Glory”. One key focus of the sermon was discipleship.

We learnt about the responsibilities of both the disciple and the one discipling. There is a way a disciple should learn, follow and grow, and there is also a responsibility that comes with helping others grow.

It was another Sunday filled with the Word, worship and fellowship.

Christianity is not a call to create our own version of the Christian life. It is a call to follow Jesus and live as He lived.

You might be the only Jesus someone encounters. That is why our lives must bear fruit.

Our character matters. How we treat people matters. How we express the gifts of the Holy Spirit matters. Our lives should point people back to Christ.

Jesus said, “If you continue in My word, you are truly My disciples.” John 8:31

Let our lives be a true reflection of the One we follow.

This is such an important message for all believers.
Christianity without solid discipleship cannot produce the growth God desires.

We see many believers who have been in the faith for years, yet there is little evidence of growth. Time in the faith should lead to maturity. There should be growth in our understanding, our character and the way we live.

The goal is not simply to fill seats. It is to see hearts filled with God’s Word and lives transformed by it.

May we never be satisfied with simply being in church. May we continually give ourselves to learning, growing and becoming.

BURDENS, CARRIERS AND GLORY
Following Jesus faithfully and intimately comes at a cost. However, sufficient grace is made available to bear His burdens daily, as every burden He assigns carries a divine purpose, to the end that God is glorified.

PRAY WITHOUT CEASING🙏🏾

God has not called us to live an easy life. He has called us to live His life, and there are requirements that come with that calling.

So, even when you don’t feel like it, pray.
Even when you don’t feel like it, study the Word.
Even when it is difficult, choose to live according to His will.

Our walk with God is not built only on how we feel. It is built on our daily decision to keep showing up and giving ourselves to Him.

Let’s keep growing. Let’s keep praying. Let’s keep becoming all that God has called us to be.
