Apostle Sunday Popoola- PRAYER FOR NIGERIA ON
SAVE NIGERIA SUNDAY.
This prayer should be prayed by the leader of the congregation to round up the prayer for the nation. Please take time to pray it all. It is a necessary sacrifice for national redemption.
Creator and ruler of the heavens and the earth, the Almighty, we acknowledge that you are the possessor and ruler of the heavens and the earth. We thank you that through Christ Jesus, we have been redeemed and brought into the sonship of God. We have been redeemed through the blood of the covenant, even the blood of Jesus.
We come now, Lord, by the new and living way Jesus consecrated to us by His blood. We have come now to receive mercy and find grace to help at this time of need.
We have come to plead the case of our nation Nigeria
First of all, we give thanks to you O LORD for all your mercies and grace over this nation. We have been kept and helped by your grace alone. Thank you for all the people and all in authority.
We have come now in repentance of our wickedness, atrocities, idolatry, political senselessness, victimization, bloodshed, corruption, kidnapping, ritual killings, occultism and witchcraft practices. We have come to confess the sins of neglecting the poor and the vulnerable. We have come to confess the sins of destroying and squandering the riches with which you have so abundantly blessed this country with for the wellbeing of the people. We repent of our infidelity and disunity in the church.
LORD HAVE MERCY. HAVE MERCY, LORD!
Let the blood of Jesus atone for all our sins and wickedness. Cleanse us from our iniquities dear Lord. Let Nigeria be cleansed by the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus. HAVE MERCY, LORD!
Now Lord, in the name of Jesus, we command all the altars of wickedness to be uprooted. We pass the judgment written upon all idols and abominations that have been erected in this nation in recent times and all ancient altars that may still exist: those erected at the seats of government, palaces of kings, around and within the states, in institutions, corporations, ministries and our various communities. We command them to be uprooted and destroyed now in the name of Jesus.
Let all satanic altars perish from Nigeria and be utterly destroyed. Let the demonic hosts behind these altars be bound. We stop them in their works and maneuvers. We cast them out of this nation into uninhabited realms.
Father, rid this nation of all demonic traffic on the land, in the waters and in the air. Let them cease! Let every satanic programming in the air, land and waters against Nigeria be destroyed! Let all evil programming in the sun, moon and stars against Nigeria be destroyed!
We command that every evil programming meant to negatively influence the government, the people in authority, the church, our communities and people be destroyed in the name of Jesus.
Let the satanic princes of Nigeria and her towns and villages be bound. We put them in chains and fetters of iron. Let them perish from this nation! We now come against the kingdom of Satan. We come against the habitation of witchcraft and wickedness in our nation, we command them to be utterly destroyed! Let the habitation of witchcraft and wickedness in Nigeria become desolate.
Those that oppose the Living God, fair play, equity, progress and development in this country are caught in the snare of the Lord. The occult that draws up evil schemes that influence those in government and the civil service towards corruption, injustice, and oppression of the citizens are cut-off in the name of Jesus.
We enter into the armory of the Lord and bring forth weapons of indignation. We come against the evil kingdom that seek to hold sway over Nigeria and the government from the uttermost borders. We open her storehouses and cast her up as heaps and destroy her utterly! Let nothing of her be left. We slay all her bullocks. I declare they are gone down to slaughter. Lord put perpetual restraining order on her army of slaughter and destruction. Woe unto them, for their day of visitation is come! We declare the vengeance of the Lord our God, even the vengeance of His Kingdom over wickedness and the unrepentant wicked.
We call together the archers of God against you and judge your arrogance against the Lord, the Holy one of Israel. We bring down your demonic force to destruction and cut them off from this nation. The Lord is against you and you are brought down. Stumble and fall! Father, kindle a fire in Nigeria to devour the evil kingdoms round about. Let the kingdoms that initiate and sustain injustice, oppression, lack of equity, abusive use of governmental powers, abusive drug usage, alcoholism, prostitution, poverty, squalor and human degradation perish from our nation!
Thunder from heaven, O God, and destroy the set up that established and sustains corruption and subjugation in this nation in the name of Jesus. Let it perish from under the sun and from our land.
Now Lord we pray and proclaim that your Kingdom come and your will be done in Nigeria. We speak to the gates of Nigeria; lift up your heads, oh ye gates and be ye lifted up ye everlasting doors and let the King of glory come in.
Come Lord, God of hosts. Come Lord, mighty in battle. Come King of glory and reign and rule in Nigeria. Reign in righteousness, truth and justice. Reign in our president, vice-president, governors, their deputies, executives, legislators, judiciaries, the attorneys-general/chief judges, the heads of services, in the civil service, in corporations, in all institutions, schools/colleges/polytechnics/universities; in the markets, among farmers, in the different states, in the life of our people and the various communities. Let Nigeria know peace, progress and prosperity that will reach all and to the uttermost borders.
Let the true fear of God be in our leaders and let them lead us in truth, justice, and righteousness. Abound to them in wisdom and prudence to use the wealth of the nation to provide infrastructure that will make all citizens in our nation productive so that we can all make our nation prosperous through the grace you have given each one.
May the spirit of excellence possess them in the name of Jesus.
Pour your Spirit more powerfully upon your church and let the church ride and take her place as light and salt in the nation. Cause your church to rise as the standard bearer for the nation. Pour your Spirit upon our nation to the end that Nigeria will take her rightful place in the comity of nations and fulfill her prophetic destiny in the name of Jesus.
