وَلَا تَحۡسَبَنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَـٰفِلًا عَمَّا یَعۡمَلُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَۚ

And never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare [in horror].

[Surah Ibrāhim: 42]

Maymūn ibn Mihrān رحمه الله said:

“This verse is a consolation for the oppressed and a threat for the oppressor!”

Ibn Mas’ūd رضي الله عنه said:

“Īmān is that a person loves another person, whilst there is no close kinship between them nor money he gave him, he only loves him for the sake of Allāh!”
