THE TRANSITION OF HIGH CHIEF OLAYIWOLA OYASOGO, THE ÀRÀBÀ/OLÚWO OF IFẸ̀ Ọ̀DÀN

The International Council for Ifá Religion received with deep sorrow the news of the passage of the revered Àràbà/Olúwo of Ifẹ̀ Ọ̀dàn, high chief Olayiwola Oyasogo who joined his ancestors today, Sunday, 24th May, 2026.

The late Araba was a custodian of culture, tradition, and the sacred teachings of Ifá. Throughout his lifetime, he remained devoted to the preservation of Yoruba heritage, moral values, and the promotion of peace and spiritual enlightenment within society. His wisdom, leadership, and dedication to the service of humanity will continue to be remembered across generations.

His transition is not only a great loss to the people of Ifẹ̀ Ọ̀dàn but also to the entire Ifá community, and all lovers of Yoruba spirituality and culture around the world

As Ifa teaches, death is not the end but a transition into the ancestral realm. May his soul find peaceful rest among the ancestors, and may Olódùmarè grant the family, followers, and the people of Ifẹ̀ Ọ̀dàn the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss.
