A CLARION CALL TO SUPPORT THE TRAINING OF FUTURE PRIESTS TODAY

Every vocation is a gift from God, but no vocation should be lost because of lack of support.

Today, we humbly call on men and women of goodwill to partner with us in the formation of our seminarians in the Society of Divine Vocations (Vocationists), Nigeria Quasi-Province. Your generosity helps provide for their spiritual, academic, pastoral, and human formation as they prepare to serve God and His Church.

By supporting a seminarian today, you are:
✠ Supporting the future of the Church
✠ Helping raise holy and dedicated priests
✠ Participating in the mission of evangelization
✠ Giving hope to genuine vocations

No gift is too small. Your contribution can help provide:
• Tuition and formation materials
• Feeding and accommodation
• Liturgical and pastoral training needs
• Medical and welfare support

SOLEMNITY OF THE LORD'S ASCENSION
Since you have been raised up to be with Christ, you must look for the things that are above, where Christ is, sitting at God's right hand.
Let your thoughts be on things above, not on the things that are on the earth.
~Colossians 3:1-2.

If you love me you will keep my commandments.
I shall ask the Father, and he will give you another Paraclete to be with you for ever, the Spirit of truth whom the world can never accept since it neither sees nor knows him; but you know him, because he is with you, he is in you.
~John 14:15-17

2026 GENERAL ASSEMBLY: A FRATERNAL JOURNEY CONCLUDED IN GRACE

With hearts full of gratitude to God, the Society of Divine Vocations, Nigeria Quasi-Province, has successfully concluded the 2026 General Assembly of the Professed Confreres. The gathering took place from Tuesday, April 21st to Friday, April 24th at the Our Lady of Divine Vocations Vocationary, Ahiara Mbaise, Imo State.

Guided by the theme “Building Fraternal Communion in our Synodal Journey,” the confreres came together for more than meetings and discussions. It was a time of real encounter with God and with one another, and a moment to reflect deeply on the mission entrusted to us as Vocationists.

Each day carried its own grace through prayer, reflection, dialogue, and sincere listening. In that shared space, experiences were opened up, ideas were exchanged, and a stronger sense of unity began to take shape. There was a clear desire among all to grow not just in responsibility, but in brotherhood.

What stood out most was the lived experience of fraternity. It was seen in the way we prayed together, listened to one another, and engaged with openness and respect. It became clear that communion does not just happen on its own. It is something we choose to build through patience, humility, and charity.

As sons of Our Lady of Divine Vocations, we were reminded again of her quiet and faithful yes to God. Her example continues to guide us as we return to our different assignments, ready to serve with renewed strength and deeper commitment.

We are grateful to everyone who made this assembly possible through their presence, prayers, and support. The fruits of these days will continue to unfold in our communities and in the work we do.

As we go forward, we carry more than decisions. We carry a renewed conviction that fraternal communion remains at the heart of our vocation and the strength of our shared journey.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

5th Sunday of Easter, Year A.
Let us with steadfast faith in Christ continue to spread the Word of God in our respective calling; like the Deacons who in serving at the table testified to the power of the Word. We can also do similar works like Christ, and even perform greater works with him; by living like Christ who came to reveal the Father to us.

Congratulations to Our Brother

We rejoice with our brother on his philosophical convocation at the Seminary of Saints Peter and Paul, Bodija, Ibadan. It is indeed an achievement rooted in fides quaerens intellectum.
Formed by ratio recta, may he grow in sapientia, remembering non scholae sed vitae discimus.
Congratulations, and may God guide your path.
