Church, before we talk about planning our prayer life, we must first understand what prayer truly is.

Prayer is not merely asking God for things.
Prayer is not a religious ritual.
Prayer is not a duty we perform to earn God's attention.

It is the privilege of communing with our Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ, by the help of the Holy Spirit.

When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He began with these words:
"Our Father in heaven..." (Matthew 6:9)
Why? Because prayer is first about relationship before requests.
Many believers have reduced prayer to presenting a list of needs before God. Yet, throughout Scripture, prayer is much more than that. It is worship. It is communion. It is surrender. It is thanksgiving. It is intercession. It is listening as much as it is speaking.
Prayer is where our hearts are aligned with God's will.

It is in the place of prayer that our faith is strengthened, our minds are renewed, and our lives are transformed.

That is why the apostles said in Acts 6:4,
"But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word."
Notice their language. They gave themselves to prayer. Prayer was not something they did occasionally; it was something they devoted themselves to.
Church, hear me: a healthy prayer life is not measured by how long you pray occasionally but by how consistently you meet with God.

So let me ask, church:
When have you decided to meet with God?
Where is your secret place?
What have you laid aside so that nothing competes with your appointment with Him?

If we schedule everything except prayer, we are quietly telling God that everything else is more important.

Planning your prayer life is not legalism; It is saying, "Father, You matter so much to me that I will intentionally make time for You."
Jesus said in Matthew 6:6,
"But when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place..."
Notice He did not say if you pray, but

Prayer is not an option for the believer; it is an expectation. It is one of the primary means by which we enjoy fellowship with God and

Some of you need to rebuild your morning altar.
Some need to redeem the midday hour.
Some need to restore the evening watch.
Whatever time you choose, guard it. Protect it. Don't negotiate with distractions.

Church, hear me:
Your consistency in the secret place will determine your stability in the public place.

The strength to overcome temptation, the wisdom to make godly decisions, the discernment to recognize God's voice, and the grace to endure trials are all cultivated in the presence of God.

Daniel was not preserved in the lions' den because of one desperate prayer. He was preserved because he had cultivated a life of prayer long before the crisis came (Daniel 6:10).
Jesus did not wait until the cross to pray. He had a consistent pattern of withdrawing to be alone with the Father (Luke 5:16).

If Jesus, the Son of God, intentionally made time for prayer, how much more should we?

Before we pray this morning, make this your
"Lord, I will no longer leave my prayer life to chance. Teach me to seek You diligently. Give me the grace to build a consistent altar of prayer. Let my life be sustained by Your presence. Let prayer become my delight and not merely my duty. Draw me into deeper fellowship with You every day, in Jesus' name.

Now, church, if that is the cry of your heart, rise to your feet. Lift your hands toward heaven and begin to ask the Lord for the grace to become a person of consistent prayer. Ask Him to restore every broken altar. Ask Him to awaken your hunger for His presence. Lift your voice and begin to pray!

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8:6

Church, hear me carefully: your greatest battle is not around you ,it is within you.

The battlefield is your mind.

Paul did not say, "To commit sin is death." He said, "To be carnally minded is death." Why? Because before a person lives in the flesh, they first think according to the flesh

The carnal mind is a mind that is ruled by the flesh instead of the Spirit. It is a mindset that exalts human reasoning above God's Word, feelings above faith, and self-will above God's will.

It may appear reasonable by the world's standards, but if it is not submitted to God, it is still the flesh.

That is why Paul says in Romans 8:7 that "the carnal mind is hostile to God." It does not naturally submit to God's authority because it wants to remain in control.

But God has not called us to live under the control of the flesh. He has given us His Holy Spirit.

To be spiritually minded is to allow the Holy Spirit to shape your thinking. It is choosing God's Word over your emotions, God's truth over your circumstances, and God's will over your own desires.

When the Spirit governs your mind, you don't panic like the world because your confidence is in God. You don't make decisions based only on what you see because you walk by faith.

You don't allow bitterness, fear, or pride to rule your heart because the *Holy Spirit is producing His life in you.

Beloved, you cannot live a victorious Christian life with a carnal mindset.

Your mind must be renewed daily by the Word of God and yielded to the Holy Spirit.

Today, ask yourself: Who is governing my thoughts? Who is directing my decisions?

Because the answer to those questions will determine the direction of your life.

Don't feed the flesh and expect to enjoy the life of the Spirit. Feed on God's Word. Walk with the Holy Spirit. Let Him transform the way you think.

You can't afford to be carnally minded. You've got to be spiritually minded, because where the Spirit rules, there is life, there is peace, and there is victory.

Pray with us:
Father, renew my mind through Your Word. Help me to set my mind on the things of the Spirit and not on the desires of the flesh. Teach me to live under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, so that my life will reflect Christ and produce the life and peace You have promised. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Happy New Month, Beloved ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

As we step into July, there is a stirring in the Spirit, *calling us to pursue God wholeheartedly and tarry in His presence.*

The Bible says:You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.Jeremiah 29:13

Beloved, let us, by the mercies of God, cultivate a deeper hunger for Him, devote ourselves to a life of prayer, and grow in intimate fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

We pray that the Lord will endowed us with grace and strength in every area of our lives.

That we remain steadfast in our walk with Him, and we not fail Him or fall short of His purpose for our lives, in Jesus' name.

Blessed July! Happy New Month!

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes..." Romans 1:16

Paul did not say the gospel contains power. He said the gospel is the power of God.

This is important.

Many people think the power of God is only seen in miracles, signs, wonders, healings, or dramatic encounters. Yet Paul points us to something greater the gospel itself.

The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. Through His finished work, sinners are forgiven, justified, reconciled to God, and given eternal life.

Why is the gospel called the power of God?

Because it accomplishes what no human effort, philosophy, religion, wealth, education, or self-improvement can accomplish. It changes a person's standing before God.

A miracle can heal a sick body, but the gospel gives life to a spiritually dead person.

A motivational message can inspire a person for a season, but the gospel transforms the heart.

The law can reveal sin, but the gospel provides the Saviour.

This is why Paul was not ashamed. In a culture that celebrated human wisdom, political power, and social status, he preached a crucified Christ a message many considered foolish. Yet Paul knew that the very message people mocked was God's means of saving those who believe.

The gospel is also for everyone who believes. Salvation is not earned by good works, family background, church attendance, or religious activities. It is received by faith in Jesus Christ alone.

The phrase "first to the Jew, then to the Gentile" reminds us that God's plan of redemption came through Israel, but His salvation was always intended for all nations.

The gospel breaks every barrier and extends God's invitation to every tribe, tongue, and people.

The greatest evidence of God's power is not merely a changed circumstance it is a changed life.

That is the power of the gospel.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the power of the gospel. Let its truth continue to transform my heart, strengthen my faith, and make me unashamed to share Christ with others in Jesus name, Amen ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

WELCOME TO JUNE โ€“ OUR MONTH OF REFORMATION
โ€Ž
โ€Ž"Until the time of reformation..." Hebrews 9:10
โ€Ž
โ€ŽBeloved in Christ,
โ€Ž
โ€ŽWe bless the name of the Lord for His faithfulness, mercy, and preservation. As we step into the month of June, we celebrate the God who has kept us, sustained us, and brought us this far by His grace.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThis month, the Lord is calling us into a season of Reformation. In Scripture, reformation speaks of a divine realignmentna return to God's pattern, God's Word, and God's purpose. It is a time when God restores what has been misplaced, repairs what has been broken, and establishes His will afresh in the lives of His people.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe Bible records that when King Josiah discovered the Book of the Law, he led the nation back to God, bringing spiritual reformation to the land (2 Kings 23:1-3). Likewise, Hezekiah restored true worship and repaired the house of the Lord, leading God's people into a renewed relationship with Him (2 Chronicles 29:3-5).
โ€Ž
โ€ŽAs we journey through this month, may the Lord reform our hearts, renew our minds, and restore our passion for Him. May every area of our lives that has drifted from His purpose be brought back into divine alignment.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽWe declare that June be a month of spiritual renewal, consecration, restored fellowship, and greater manifestation of God's glory.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽWelcome to June, our Month of Reformation

Distractions

Today, weโ€™re focused on ridding ourselves of the distractions this world brings in such abundance.

We cannot fully follow God and His will for our lives and have a total, Spirit-filled life if we are constantly getting distracted.

In Philippians 4:8, Paul gives instructions to the Philippi church about what they should think about. While this passage only gets into what he wanted the church to dwell on, it can be inferred about what did not make the list.

Stress, anxiety, fear, and worry are nowhere to be found on Paulโ€™s list. Instead, he said to focus on what is true, noble, pure, lovely, admirable, and right.

When we take this step, we are one step closer to thinking the way God desires and defending ourselves from distractions.

In John 17:17, we see Jesus praying for His disciples. He asks God to sanctify them by His truth. And what does He go on to call Godโ€™s truth? His Word. This gives us insight into what Paul was talking about when he told the Phillipi church to dwell on whatever is true.

We are meant to dwell on the truth of Godโ€™s Word. When this is a priority in our lives, we wonโ€™t be as easily distracted by the things of this world.

This is an integral step in living a Spirit-filled, overflowing life.

โ€ŽStudying the Bible is not just reading words. It is learning the mind, heart, and will of God through His Word.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽBefore studying, pray and invite the Holy Spirit to guide you into understanding.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽBut the Helper, the Holy Spiritโ€ฆ will teach you all things. John 14:26
โ€Ž
โ€ŽOpen thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. Psalm 119:18
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe Holy Spirit gives illumination, but we must also study carefully and diligently.
โ€Ž
โ€Ž1. *Ask: Who Is The Bible Talking About?*
โ€Ž
โ€ŽIdentify:
โ€Ž
โ€Ž- The speaker
โ€Ž- The audience
โ€Ž- The people involved
โ€Ž- The historical setting
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThis helps prevent misunderstanding the passage.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽExample:
โ€ŽGod speaking to Israel in the Old Testament is not always speaking directly to the Church today in the same context.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe Bible says: Study to shew thyself approved unto Godโ€ฆ 2 Timothy 2:15
โ€Ž
โ€Ž2. Ask: What Is The Passage Talking About?
โ€Ž
โ€ŽFind the central message.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽAsk:
โ€Ž
โ€Ž- What lesson is God teaching here?
โ€Ž- What does this reveal about God?
โ€Ž- Is there a command, warning, promise, or instruction?
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe Bible should not only inform you; it should transform you.
โ€Ž
โ€Ž3. Study The Context
โ€Ž
โ€ŽNever interpret one verse alone.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽRead:
โ€Ž
โ€Ž- The verses before it
โ€Ž- The chapter
โ€Ž- The entire book when possible
โ€Ž
โ€ŽA text without context becomes a pretext.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽBiblical interpretation emphasizes context as one of the most important rules of understanding Scripture.
โ€Ž
โ€Ž4. Observe Key Words And Repeated Phrases
โ€Ž
โ€ŽRepeated words often reveal emphasis.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽExample:
โ€ŽWords like:
โ€Ž
โ€Ž- Faith
โ€Ž- Grace
โ€Ž- Love
โ€Ž- Obedience
โ€Ž- Kingdom
โ€Ž
โ€Žcan reveal the main theme of a passage.
โ€Ž
โ€Ž5. Recognize Figures Of Speech
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe Bible contains:
โ€Ž
โ€Ž- Parables
โ€Ž- Metaphors
โ€Ž- Symbolism
โ€Ž- Proverbs
โ€Ž- Poetry
โ€Ž
โ€ŽNot every verse is meant to be interpreted literally.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽJesus saying: โ€œI am the doorโ€ was symbolic, not physical.
โ€Ž
โ€Ž6. Understand Customs And Culture
โ€Ž
โ€ŽKnowing Jewish customs, traditions, geography, and history helps explain many scriptures clearly.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽBiblical scholars consistently emphasize understanding the historical and cultural setting of Scripture.
โ€Ž
โ€Ž7. Compare Scripture With Scripture
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe Bible explains itself.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽUse other scriptures to understand difficult passages.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽOne verse should never contradict the full message of Scripture.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe bible says Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.2 Peter 1:20
โ€Ž
โ€Ž8. Apply What You Study
โ€Ž
โ€ŽBible study is not only for knowledge.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽWhen you study it produces:
โ€Ž
โ€Ž- Growth
โ€Ž- Obedience
โ€Ž- Transformation
โ€Ž- Spiritual maturity
โ€Ž
โ€ŽBut be ye doers of the word, and not hearers onlyโ€ฆโ€ James 1:22
โ€Ž
Be Consistent In Prayer And Study ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ
โ€Ž
โ€ŽSpiritual growth requires:
โ€Ž
โ€Ž- Consistency
โ€Ž- Persistence
โ€Ž- Passion for God
โ€Ž- Thanksgiving
โ€Ž- Intercession
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe more you stay in Godโ€™s Word, the more you grow spiritually.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe goal of Bible study is not just to gain information.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe goal is:
โ€Ž
โ€Ž- To know God
โ€Ž- To understand His truth
โ€Ž- To grow spiritually
โ€Ž- And to become more like Christ
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe Bible is not just a book to read.
โ€ŽIt is a life to live.
โ€Ž

*Enlarge your heart this month*

We are living in times where things around us may not look encouraging. Itโ€™s easy to focus on what is going wrong.

But God is calling us to see beyond the present.
โ€œArise, shine; for your light has comeโ€ฆ the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.โ€ (Isaiah 60:1โ€“2)

As Godโ€™s children, we must come out of a limited way of thinking and fix our eyes on the future we have in Christ.

The glory ahead is real and it is only possible because of what Jesus has already done for us.

*So this new month is a wake-up call:*

Donโ€™t let what you see around you define your mindset.

Like Jesus, who looked beyond what He was going through and focused on the glory ahead, we too must live with that same understanding.

The Lord perfect all that concerns you and your family in Jesus name ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe Christian life is not powered by effort it is powered by surrender.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽMany times, we try to live for God using our own strength, discipline, and understanding.
โ€Ž
But the truth is, God never called us to carry the weight of our calling alone. What He asks for is something deeper *our yielding.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽYielding is not weakness. It is the highest form of strength in the Spirit.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽSpiritual power does not come from how much we know about God, but from *how much of ourselves we have surrendered for Him to use.
โ€Ž
You can be full of knowledge and still be empty of power if you have not learned to yield.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThe Pharisees knew the Scriptures, yet they resisted the Spirit. They had knowledge, but not surrender. And because they would not yield, they missed God standing right in front of them.

This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouthโ€ฆ but their heart is far from me.Matthew 15:8 (KJV)
โ€Ž
โ€ŽYielding is what makes the difference.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽWhen we yield, we allow the Holy Spirit to lead our thoughts, guide our decisions, and shape our responses. We stop striving and start depending. We stop controlling and start trusting.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽGodโ€™s word to Zerubbabel still speaks today: Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit.Zechariah 4:6
โ€Ž
โ€ŽThis is the secret : Godโ€™s work is not accomplished through human strength, but through yielded vessels.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽZerubbabel could not build the temple by effort alone. It required divine enablement.

In the same way, your purpose, your growth, your calling none of it will be fulfilled by striving harder. It will be fulfilled by yielding deeper.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽWhen you yield: Godโ€™s strength replaces your weakness.
โ€ŽGodโ€™s wisdom overrides your understanding.
โ€ŽGodโ€™s power flows through your obedience.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽYielding is where transformation happens.
โ€ŽYielding is where direction becomes clear.
โ€ŽYielding is where Godโ€™s power is revealed.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽWhat area of your life is God asking you to surrender today?
โ€Ž
โ€ŽPrayer:
โ€ŽLord, I lay down my strength, my plans, and my control. Teach me to yield to Your Spirit daily. Let Your will be done in me and through me. In Jesusโ€™ name.
