WELCOME TO AUGUST — THE ALTAR

One thing is certain: your altar will always leave a scar on you.

Every genuine encounter with God leaves a mark. It is not a scar that disfigures your beauty; rather, it dismantles the flesh so that the reality of the Spirit and the glory of God upon your life become evident.

The scar of the altar is the evidence of divine dealings. It is what you carry into the world. Men may not see your secret place, but they will see the glory that was birthed there. They may never witness your tears, prayers, fasting, and consecration, yet they will encounter the grace, wisdom, power, and favor that flowed from your altar.

This month, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, our theme is:

THE ALTAR

May your altar be revived. May the fire upon it never go out. May your fellowship with God become deeper, and may every encounter leave upon you the mark of His presence.

I pray that the scar you receive from the altar will become the identity of God's glory upon your life, causing men to recognize His favor, power, and purpose in you.

Ever since my encounter with Christ 🙏, there has been one part of my Christian journey that has genuinely frustrated me 🥴. For a long time, I thought I was the only one going through it. But as I grew in fellowship with other believers, I discovered that many sincere Christians have carried the same burden and asked the same questions.

That realization made me understand that I wasn't alone.

> "Be still, and know that I am God." — Psalm 46:10

Imagine being with your mother the one person you know will never abandon you. Just her presence gives you confidence because you believe, "She has my back."

Then suddenly, a calamity unfolds right before her eyes. It demands immediate attention. You begin to cry out, expecting her to respond. You don't even think of calling for help because she's right there.

But surprisingly... she says nothing.

She doesn't move, She doesn't raise an alarm, She simply remains silent.

How would you feel?
What conclusion would you naturally draw?

This is the reality many believers experience in their walk with God.

They pray, They fast, They attend services, They serve faithfully, They give sacrificially.

Yet, in the middle of their deepest pain and most desperate prayers...

God seems silent. 🔕😶

Why would a loving Father remain silent when His child is crying?

Is His silence a sign that He has abandoned us?

Or is there something far deeper that we have failed to understand?
