Recompenses Iniquity?
Jer 32:18 Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,
Friends, pls hear me. Many read the above scripture and give it a wrong interpretation. Listen to me carefully, God is love, and kind and good, and does not curse anybody. What happens is, Adam brought a curse on the entire human race by rebelling against the word of God. And God has brought a remedy by the sacrifice of his son. Rom 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. I hope you understood what you just read, so what it means is, as you accept Jesus and come to understand the terms of the new covenant, you are now redeemed from the curse of Adam and from the curse of the laws of Moses, and now come under a blessing. But if you refuse to make Jesus your lord, you still remain under the curse of Adam, and that is when the iniquity of our fathers starting from Adam, are recompensed to the bosom of their children's children, until somebody accepts Jesus as their lord in a generation to break that cycle of the curses. In this case, it is not God who is revisiting a generational curse on anybody, but it came as a result of the refusal of any generation to accept the remedy that God has put in place to reverse the generational curses, that started from Adam, because it is in a default mode, it kicks in by itself as soon as you are born by a woman into this world. Now if you accept Jesus and don't know that we are no more under the old covenant which also contains curses, and continue to live under the old covenant, you have chosen to live under a curse instead of under the blessing of the new covenant, and that is exactly what is going on with about 80% of Christians today. Bible says we are redeemed from the curses of the laws of Moses, but, sad to say, many are still lingering there because of the lack of knowledge of the new covenant and it's terms. Folks, this is what I have been talking about, until you wean yourself from the old covenant, and from the mixture of grace and law doctrines, because grace and the law are not compatible, so until you wean yourself from them, you can never fully enjoy your salvation, because you are still bound under a curse. That is the tragedy, most Christians don't know the difference between the OT and the NT. Infact they don't know what is the old covenant or new covenant. To them, the old covenant is from Genesis to Malachi, and the new covenant is from Matthew to Revelation. No, no, no, that is a show of deep ignorance of how to rightly divide the word of truth. Yesterday someone wrote to tell me, if I say we are no more under the old covenant, why am I using a scripture from the old covenant to preach, i.e. using a scripture from the prophet Jeremiah to preach. This quickly exposed his deep ignorance of not knowing what entails the old covenant, and what is the difference between the Psalms, and the Prophets, and the history books about Jesus earthly ministry which covers from Matthew to John, and the epistles which explains the new covenant, and the finished work of Christ, which covers Acts to Revelation. You see, and somebody like this was finding fault with the truth I was teaching, can you imagine this? He later on came to say you must be holy, and have faith, and I wonder how holy he is and how much faith he has, whether he has been able to move any stone with his holiness and faith before. Anyway I don't blame anybody who is blinded from the new covenant truth, I blame the devil. Folks, this is what it is, total confusion in the church, we don't know which is which, and we are not ready to learn anything new, we are entrenched in our old belief system which is not working. No wonder the frustrations and the disappointments continue. So God don't visit curses on anybody, we chose it ourselves through ignorance, and you can redeem yourself by knowledge.
Think again!
Stay blessed.
