*TOPIC: THE POWER OF GOD’S PRESENCE.*

*SCRIPTURE:* Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob; Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters. PSALM 114:7-8.

*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:* Mountains cannot survive the Presence of God.

One of the greatest assets of any man or woman on earth is the Presence of God. Connection with God’s Presence is a connection with the realm of all possibilities.

For example, Moses stayed for forty days and forty nights in God’s Presence and something happened. The Presence of God saturated his face, and the children of Israel could not look at his face because of the brightness of God’s glory that radiated from his face. No wonder Moses walked in the realm of incredible signs and wonders.

*Beloved* , there are realms you cannot operate in until you are a carrier of God’s tangible, feelable and palpable Presence.

*Now, let us look at how powerful the presence of God is.*

1. The Presence of God creates a way where there was none. It tore open the Red Sea and the Jordan river (Exodus 14:21, Psalm 114:5).

2. The Presence of God uproots obstacles and mountains. Mountains cannot survive the Presence of God (Psalm 114:4).

3. The Presence of God dissolves rocks into water. The Presence of God causes rocky hard ground to bring forth water. That is where there was no supply at all, supply appears by His Presence.

Now, what are the secrets of accessing God’s Presence as seen in the Psalm Chapter 114?
*What can cause God’s Presence to be so mighty according that scripture.*

1. Separation from the wrong association. Psalm 114:1 says, When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language; For as long as you remain in Egypt, you cannot find God. Avoid the wrong company and be available as a vessel to carry His Presence.

2. The avoidance of the wrong language. The Bible says, they came from a people of strange language. If your language is not right, God cannot be present. Unbelieving, filthy, doubtful talks and wrong confessions drive the Presence of God away from a person’s life.

3. The possession of Praise. Psalm 114:2 says, Judah was his sanctuary… And Judah means praise.
To be praiseful is to carry heavy Divine Presence (Psalm 22:3).

*Beloved* , when you engage in these secrets, you will secure Divine Presence to create a way where there was none, uproot mountains and dissolve rocks into water.

*Remember This:* Mountains cannot survive the Presence of God.

*ASSIGNMENT(S* ):
1. Engage the above-mentioned secrets of accessing God’s Presence.

2. Spend time in God’s Presence at the place of worship, prayer and study of the Word.

TOPIC: OFFLOADING WEIGHTS FOR A SUCCESSFUL CROSSOVER

SCRIPTURE: Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Hebrews 12:1.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Hate or bitterness is a weight that hinders a successful spiritual crossover to a new level of life.

We appreciate God for bringing us to the very last day of the year, 2024. He has been faithful to us right from the beginning of the year; we give Him all the glory.

As we plan to cross over into a new year, there is a need to offload any burden, weight, or baggage that may hinder our progress to new levels in the coming year. One such weight that can hinder this transition is hate or bitterness.

Hate or bitterness is a weight that hinders a successful spiritual crossover to a new level of life.

One toxic consequence of hate on haters is the destruction of reason and wisdom. Reasoning and wisdom are eroded from the mind of the hater.

Overtime, a hater begins to act in irrational and unreasonable ways, with a mentality already destroyed by animosity. The bosom of the foolish is the resting place of bitterness. The bosom of the foolish is the resting place of anger and wrath.

Ecclesiastes 7:9 says,
“Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.”

People begin to act in foolish ways because of the destructive effects of bitterness. We live in a world where brothers from the same womb can hate each other.
They can so hate each other that one may even organise to kill the other, not minding the pain of loss and grief that will be inflicted on their parents. He does not see it as a loss to himself, neither does he see it as a loss to his parents, or family; his reasoning has been destroyed by the venom of hatred.

Someone once said his wife misbehaved towards him, so in anger, he sought another woman and contracted the deadly HIV. In his anger against his wife, he went out and got infected, bringing the deadly infection home. That was the result of the destruction of sense by hate. A hater has no sense.

Beloved, refuse to cross over to the new year with bitterness and hate in your heart.

Remember this: Hate or bitterness is a weight that hinders a successful spiritual crossover to a new level of life.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. Ask God to deliver you from the foolishness of hatred.

2. Make up your mind never to allow hatred to rob you of your sense and wisdom.

PRAYER: Father, I refuse to be driven by the spirit of hate and bitterness. I receive the grace flow in love so I can scale new levels and heights in the New Year, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: ACCESSING LIGHT BY UPRIGHTNESS

SCRIPTURE: What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
Psalm 25:12,14.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Consecration is doorway to revelation; to separate yourself is to access insight from God’s Word.

The Scripture makes it clear that one way to access the treasures of the Word of God is maintaining an upright standing with God. The fear of the Lord is the passcode to accessing the Word of God.

Psalm 25:12, 14 says, “What man is he that feareth the Lord? Him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose. The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him, and he will show them his covenant.”

This implies that if you want God to teach you His Word, you must equip yourself with the fear of the Lord. Those who fear the Lord possess His secrets. God shows His covenant to those who fear Him.

The Word of God, the Bible is divided into the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament is the Old Covenant while the New Testament is the New Covenant. And it takes the fear of the Lord to access these secrets or covenants of the Lord.

Now, what is the fear of the Lord? The fear of the Lord is to hate evil.

Proverbs 8:13 says,
“The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.”

The secret of the Lord is not with drunkards, prostitutes, gamblers, or those engaging in immorality; the secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him and live in uprightness and holiness.
This means consecration is the doorway to revelation; to separate yourself from iniquity is to access insight from God’s Word. The higher your level of consecration, the greater or deeper your access to revelation. God will show the one who fears Him the way to go in life.

But unrighteousness or ungodliness blocks the flow of revelation. Sin covers the eyes of man from accessing insights from the Word of God. When you live recklessly, speak carelessly, and associate with ungodly people, you block your access to scriptural revelation.

Remember this: Consecration is doorway to revelation; to separate yourself is to access insight from God’s Word.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. Make up your mind to live upright. Separate yourself from every form of impurity and iniquity.

2. Maintain the lifestyle of uprightness to access insight from the Word of God.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I ask that You cleanse me from every form of impurity and iniquity that will hinder my access to insights from Your Word, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: ARE YOU A KEEPER OR A KILLER?

SCRIPTURE: And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
Genesis 4:8.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You cannot be neutral in life. It is either you are keeping your brother, or you are killing him.

In one of our previous studies, we saw hatred or lovelessness as the root of character deficiency. When people are deficient in character, one area to examine is their love life.

Today, we want to add that bitterness is the root of murder. When people are embittered, they make attempts to kill. This was what happened to Cain.

In Genesis 4, both Cain and Abel brought their offerings to God.
God had respect for Abel and his offering, but He did not have respect for Cain and his offering.
Then Cain became angry, and his countenance fell. Murderous hatred began to brew in the heart of Cain.

The Lord asked Cain, “Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.” Genesis 4:6-7.

Then Cain spoke with Abel, his brother. When they were in the field, Cain rose up against Abel, his brother, and killed him.

And when the Lord asked Cain, “Where is your brother?” Cain replied, “I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper?” Genesis 4:8-9.

You see, Cain killed his brother and refused to keep him.

The lesson to learn here is that if you are not your brother's keeper, it means you are your brother's killer. You cannot be neutral in life. It is either you are keeping your brother, or you are killing him. You are either keeping your sister, or you are killing her. You are either watching over the people around you, or you are harming them.

Now, the question I would like to ask you is: What have you done to your brother, your sister, or the people around you in the past? Do you keep them through intercession, showing care and seeking their welfare, or harm them by assassinating their character, plotting their downfall, and speaking against them?

Have you contributed to the fall or demotion of an innocent person at your place of work before?

You must always remember this: It is either you are keeping your brother, or you are killing him. The choice is yours.

Remember this: You cannot be neutral in life. It is either you are keeping your brother, or you are killing him.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. Ask yourself this question: Am I a keeper or a killer?

2. Repent from any action of yours in the past that has resulted the assassination of someone’s character and their downfall.

3. Make up your mind henceforth to contribute to the growth of people.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from any tendency to “kill” through bitterness by uprooting every trace of hate and bitterness from my heart. I receive the grace for a love-filled heart, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: WORK YOUR WAY TO THE TOP

SCRIPTURE: But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. (John 5:17)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: There is no shortcut to the top in any realm of life; you must work your way to the top.

We live in a world where many people are looking for shortcuts. Many people cannot endure the process and patience required for the top; they want everything very fast. But it does not work like that.

There is no shortcut to success. There is no shortcut to the top. To Look for shortcuts to the top is to cut your life short. Shortcuts really cut life short.

So, there is no shortcut to the top in any realm of life; you must work your way to the top.
The Scripture is filled with people who were hard workers. God Himself is the first example.

John 5:17 says,
“But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.”

Jesus Christ made us understand that the Father is a Worker. The Father is working, the Son is working, and the Holy Spirit is also working.

1 Corinthians 12:11 says,
“But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.”
The Father is a hard Worker!
The Son is a hard Worker!
The Holy Spirit is a hard Worker!

Abraham was another hard worker in Scripture. In Genesis 14:14-16, when Abraham heard that Lot was taken captive, he armed his trained servants born in his own house and pursued the captors.

He was a little less than 90 years old at the time of this battle. He divided his trained servants, and they went out in the night until they fought and overcame the captors. That was hard work.

Beloved, if God Himself is a hard Worker, and Abraham had to work hard to fulfill his destiny, then there is no shortcut to the top. It takes diligence to rise to the top.

Remember this: There is no shortcut to the top in any realm of life; you must work your way to the top.

ASSIGNMENT:

1. Make up your mind to work your way to the top.

2. Kill idleness and indolence from your life completely.

PRAYER: Father, I receive a fresh baptism of the Spirit of diligence. Help me with the grace for brutal and profitable labour, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: THE DIVIDENDS OF WISDOM

SCRIPTURE: This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
James 3:15-17

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Life is meaningful only with wisdom.

A major secret of great men in Scripture was wisdom. Wisdom is so important that even Jesus could not do without it. The Scripture confirms that Jesus was filled with wisdom (Luke 2:40).

Now, understanding wisdom is a necessity. It is crucial to understand wisdom for the following reasons:

1. Wisdom is the Principal Thing
Proverbs 4:7 says,
“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”
Wisdom is one of the most fundamental necessities of life. Life is meaningful only with wisdom, and where wisdom is lacking, meaning is also lacking.

2. Wisdom is Superior to Weapons of War
Ecclesiastes 9:18 says,
“Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.”
Wisdom will do for you what weapons cannot do. A person can carry heavy weapons, but without wisdom, they can die cheaply. Without wisdom, a person can become a cheap casualty in life.

3. Wisdom is Key to Above-Only Existence
Proverbs 8:14-15 says,
“Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.”
If you will reign in any area of life, it is by wisdom. You only dominate in life through wisdom. The lack of wisdom is the reason why people are being dominated in life.

Now, in Scripture, there are examples of people who became principal persons through wisdom. One such example was Moses.

Moses had the wisdom that he could impart Joshua (Deuteronomy 34:9). A man can only give what he has. Moses must be a wise man to have laid that wisdom upon Joshua. By the wisdom of God, Moses was able to rehearse the history of creation that happened a long time before he was born.

Beloved, I decree the release of the wisdom of God on your life, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: Life is meaningful only with wisdom.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. Avoid the pathway of foolishness.

2. Ask God for wisdom so you can excel in life.

PRAYER: Father, I ask that You deliver me from the pathway of foolishness. I receive the spirit of wisdom, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: HUMILITY – A PATHAY TO RECEIVING FROM GOD

SCRIPTURE: For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
Isaiah 57:15.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To receive anything from God, we must maintain the attitude of helplessness and humility.

Pride is a major manifestation of the flesh. It is a hindrance to answered prayer. Pride hinders our ability to receive anything from God.

Beloved, to receive anything from God, you must maintain an attitude of helplessness and humility. God will never look in the direction of the proud.
Isaiah 66:2b says,..but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.”

To approach God with pride is to confront a closed door at the place of prayer.

There are various forms of pride in our world today. Some people are proud of their spirituality, while others are even proud of their humility. You hear them talking about their humility so obsessively that they become proud of being humble. This is a contradiction; it is false humility.

God will always look in the direction of the one who is humble and has a contrite heart. God looks away from proud people, people who raise their shoulders in pride. God turns away from those who believe they have arrived. He looks away from those who look down on other people.

So, pride is a hindrance to a successful prayer life.
You must be free from every form of sin and iniquity to gain access to God at the place of prayer.

You may not smoke, drink, or commit immorality, but when God looks at you, He turns away because there is something in you that reminds Him of Lucifer, the father of pride.

Many people pray to God, “O Lord, I need a life partner. I need a job, anointing, car, money,” but when God wants to grant their requests, He realizes that the blessings He gave them before made them too proud; their heads have become bigger than their bodies. They no longer reverence God, and of course, God does not answer people who share His glory.

Refuse to be such a person.

Remember this: To receive anything from God, we must maintain the attitude of helplessness and humility.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. Do not allow pride to rob you of your inheritance in God.
2. Always maintain the attitude of humility and helplessness before God.

PRAYER: Father, I ask that You rid my life of pride and arrogance. I receive the garment of humility and selflessness, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Christmas season communicates the revelation of the power of God to override the abilities, limitations and challenges of man.

Merry Christmas!
We are most grateful to God for the privilege of seeing another Christmas. This season marks the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

I would like you to know that the most powerful and mysterious event in the history of mankind is the birth of Jesus Christ. This is because how Jesus was born is totally different from how other people were (are) born.

One thing that made the birth of Christ the most powerful birth in history was that it communicated the power of unnatural or divine conception. The birth of Jesus was not a product of a relationship between a man and a woman.

In the history of mankind, we have heard of people like Enoch and Elijah who went to eternity without dying.
But we have never heard of anyone who came into this world without the relationship of a man and a woman, except Jesus Christ. Jesus was born by the power of the Holy Ghost.
Luke 1:35 says,
“The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”

Beloved, one thing to learn from this is that the birth of Jesus continues to communicate or demonstrate the supremacy of the divine order over the natural order. It remains a powerful demonstration of the superiority of spiritual or supernatural laws over natural laws.

The birth of Jesus suspended the law of biological reproduction. It shows the superiority of God’s power over natural or human powers.

Thus, the Christmas season communicates the revelation of the power of God to override the abilities, limitations and challenges of man.

Beloved, I counsel you to make demands on God in this season and allow His supernatural power to take over and override your abilities, limitations, and challenges.

Remember this: The Christmas season communicates the revelation and availability of the Power of God to override the abilities, limitation, challenges and ability of men.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. Go through today’s message once again.

2. Make demands on God for the release of the Power of the Holy Ghost to take over your natural effort and ability.

PRAYER: Father, I submit my strength and ability to You. I made demands on Your Power made available in this season to override my natural effort, strength, ability limitation and challenge, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: WHEN THEY HATE YOU, GOD LIFTS YOU

SCRIPTURE: And when the Lord saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.
Genesis 29:31.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Consciously or unconsciously, those who hate you end up becoming instruments in God's Hands to help you.

Hate is a negative behaviour with many toxic effects. The interesting thing is that not even the hater is spared the toxicity of their hate.

One of the toxic effects or destructiveness of hate on the hater is the frustration and disappointment of their own expectations.

The hater will always end up frustrated and disappointed in life.

In Scripture, God usually frustrates the expectations of the hater and opens doors for the one who is hated.

We find a good example in Genesis 29:31 which says,
“And when the Lord saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.”

When the Lord saw that Leah was hated, He opened her womb, while Rachel who was loved remained barren.

If you want someone’s doors to open, hate them. If you want them to experience more breakthroughs in life, hate them.

The truth is, consciously or unconsciously, those who hate you end up becoming instruments in God's Hands to help you.

This is because, in God’s Presence, the hated becomes a candidate for His help.

We see another example in Exodus 1:12 which says,
“But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.”

This means that the more the Egyptians hated and afflicted the Israelites, the more the Israelites grew and multiplied. The Israelites grew so large in number that the Egyptians were grieved and wanted to destroy them, but the Israelites could not be overcome.

This is how God frustrates your haters. So, do not fear hatred. Do not be afraid of being hated, because if a man did not lift you up, that man cannot bring you down. If a man did not create you, he cannot finish you.

Remember this: Consciously or unconsciously, those who hate you end up becoming instruments in God's Hands to help you.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. Maintain a godly character, live an upright life.

2. Don’t be afraid of being hated by people so long as your ways are right before God.

3. Always know that when people hate you, that is when God is set to lift you.

PRAYER: Father, thank You for Your Word to me today. I access great heights in You as I experience Your lifting Power amid people’s hate, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: BIRTHING SPIRITUAL HUNGER IN THE SECRET

SCRIPTURE: O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
Psalm 63:1-2.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Spiritual hunger is birthed in the secret; it takes a man of the secret to be hungry for God.

Spiritual hunger is key to accessing kingdom treasures. Spiritual hunger grants access to revelation and illumination from the Word of God.

Now, one place where hunger is birthed is the secret place. The Presence of God imparts spiritual hunger in a person. The more you dwell with God, the hungrier you become for Him.

Many years ago, T. L. Osborne returned from India as a frustrated evangelist and missionary. He then decided to lock himself in God’s Presence for about a month. During this period of dwelling with God in the secret place, he read the Books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John about three times in one month.
When he was through with this spiritual exercise, he received a revelation of Jesus and an intense hunger for God came upon him. This drastically changed his life, and he became desperate for more of God.

You see, spiritual hunger is birthed in the secret place; it takes a person of the secret to be truly hungry for God.
Similarly, one day, God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo, went before God and locked himself in the secret place. He held onto God, asking God to reveal to him the secrets of supernatural supply and kingdom prosperity. He began to read the Bible and other Scripture-based books while he stayed in God’s Presence. And before three days were over, he received light that he has never been able to recover from—light that continues to trouble the agents of hell to this day.
The problem is that many of us are too casual with the Bible. We read the Word of God as if we are reading a newspaper. It is not supposed to be so.

No one ever got delivered, saved, or transformed by reading a newspaper or a textbook. Demons are only cast out when you invoke the Power and Authority of the Word of God.

Therefore, I counsel you to approach the Word of God with desperation. Camp with God in the secret place to develop deep spiritual hunger.
Remember this: Spiritual hunger is birthed in the secret; it takes a man of the secret to be hungry for God.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. Make up your mind to camp with God in the secret place to develop spiritual hunger.
2. Maintain the attitude of hunger for the Word of God to access uncommon insights and revelations.

PRAYER: Father, I ask for a fresh baptism of hunger for Your Presence. I receive the grace to consistently camp with You at the secret place, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
