🤯 Did You Know? The Principle of First Mention...

Out of all the places the word "love" could have first appeared in the Bible, it doesn't show up in the Garden of Eden or between a husband and wife. It first appears in Genesis 22:2, where God says to Abraham: "Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there..."

This isn't just a random fact; it’s a divine blueprint. The very first time love is mentioned, it describes a father's deep affection for his son, tied directly to a sacrificial offering on a mountain.

Thousands of years later, on that very same mountain range, another Father offered up His only Son, whom He loved—Jesus Christ. But this time, no one stopped the sacrifice. God did it all out of His matchless love for you.

When God promised Sarah she would have a baby in her old age, her immediate reaction wasn’t a loud "Amen"—it was a laugh of pure disbelief (Genesis 18:12).

Honestly, can we blame her? Sometimes God’s promises sound so big, so impossible, and so far beyond our reality that our human minds just can't comprehend them. But the beautiful thing about our God is that He didn't cancel the promise just because she doubted. He turned her laugh of disbelief into a laugh of absolute testimony!
