ÌṢẸ̀ṢE AWARDS (2024)

We are pleased to inform the general public that Ìṣẹ̀ṣe Welfare Association (IWA), Aka Ìṣẹ̀ṣe Assembly is conferring a prestigious and meritorious Award of ÌṢẸ̀ṢE MAN and ÌṢẸ̀ṢE WOMAN OF THE YEAR (2024) on:

(i) High Chief Ifáṣayọ̀ Ifádámitán Ifárọ̀wáyé Àlàbí (Ọba Ẹ̀dú Àgbáyé)
(ii) Princes Adedoyin Talabi-Ọlọ́ṣun Fáníyì (Yèyé Apénímọ̀ Awo Òṣogbo).

The date, venue, and the time for a befitting and colourful Conferment Ceremony is scheduled as follows:

Date: Sunday, 15th of December, 2024
Time: 11am Prompt
Venue: Ọ̀ṣẹ́ Méji Temple, Ọjàaba, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Ìṣẹ̀ṣe Awards are conceptualised and objectively established as a unique platform for recognition and celebration, and honouring credible Ìṣẹ̀ṣe devotees for outstanding leadership qualities with proven integrity (consistent high moral standard); enviable personal achievements; and selfless service to the Ìṣẹ̀ṣe Community.

Ìṣẹ̀ṣe Welfare Association (IWA), Aka Ìṣẹ̀ṣe Assembly was founded to promote the welfare of Oníṣẹ̀ṣes (Ìṣẹ̀ṣe Practitioners) in general and uphold the dignity of Ìṣẹ̀ṣe as a Yorùbá Indigenous Religion (YIR). IWA strives to facilitate a positive change in the perception of indigenous culture, tradition, and belief system through enlightenment projects. And it also serves as an interface between Ìṣẹ̀ṣe community and the general public.

Venue: Onasode Hall, International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan (UI), Ibadan, Oyo State.

Time: 11:00AM.

The interactive session aims at creating new innovations and enduring capacities to deal with the contemporary challenges damaging the Yorùbá's unique Ifá divinatory practices, tradition, spirituality, heritage, and the religion known as Ìṣẹ̀ṣe.

It also aims at engaging the critical stakeholders in movie industry in Nigeria (particularly in Yorùbáland) including actors, directors, producers, writers, film and skit makers, contents creators and marketers to curb the denigration of Ìṣẹ̀ṣe religion to implore the stakeholders to help to stop bastardising our dear belief system.
