MORNING DEVOTION
_BY PST OLADOSU K.PAUL_
*THURSDAY, 4TH DECEMBER 2025*
THEME: GUARDING YOUR HEART IN DESTINY(SENSITIVE SEASONS)
Bible verse: Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners
1 Corinthians 15:33
There is a way that looks right. It feels familiar, exciting, comforting, even harmless. Yet Scripture warns: its end is destruction. Not because God wants to restrict you, but because He sees beyond the surface—He sees what you cannot see yet.
December is a destiny-sensitive month.
It is the month where the enemy tries to plant what will delay you in the new year. It is also the month where God tries to remove what cannot follow you into your next level. Every relationship carries a spirit, a direction, and a consequence. Some connections multiply you, others drain you, and some sabotage you silently.
Sometimes, God warns you about a person long before they manifest who they truly are. A gentle discomfort… a lack of peace… a repeating Scripture… a dream… a red flag in your spirit. But because emotions speak loudly—loneliness, excitement, curiosity—you may begin to entertain what God already exposed.
And that is the danger.
Relationships are not just social they are spiritual gates.
They can open you to blessings or battles, clarity or confusion, destiny or delay.
One wrong connection can steal your focus.
Suddenly, your prayer fire weakens, your hunger for God becomes shallow, and distractions begin to feel “normal.”
One wrong connection can steal your purity.
The enemy knows that corrupting your atmosphere weakens your authority. What you tolerate becomes your culture.
One wrong connection can steal your momentum.
You were moving forward, becoming disciplined, consistent, spiritually sharp then a single relationship pulls you back into cycles God delivered you from.
This December, protect your spirit before you protect your emotions.
Your emotions may be sincere, but they are not always accurate. Your spirit is where your direction comes from.
*Ask yourself:*
* Does this person pull me toward God or away from Him?
* Do I lose my peace whenever I talk to them?
* Does this relationship inspire obedience or excuses?
* Am I becoming who God wants me to be—or who they want me to be?
God will never require you to keep a relationship that threatens your destiny.
Refuse anything that distracts you from God’s plan.
If they drain your strength, silence your convictions, weaken your devotion, or interrupt your focus—walk away with grace and without guilt.
You are too close to what God is about to do to entertain what He already warned you about.
PRAYER
Father, give me the sensitivity to recognize relationships that are not from You. Strengthen my spirit to obey Your warnings quickly. Protect my heart from distractions and align me with people who push me toward my purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
