We are pleased to announce the 2026 Pre-Laity Week Quiz Competition for our young parishioners.
This is a wonderful opportunity for spiritual growth, learning and healthy competition.

Sunday, 8th February – Deanery Level
Saturday, 28th February – Archdiocesan Finals

Venue: St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Mokola
Time: 10:00am prompt

Areas of Concentration

1. Holy Bible: Gospel of St. John (Chapters 1–10)
2. CCD
3. Church Current Affairs (Church in Nigeria)
4. Life of St. Carlo Acutis
5. Laity Manual: Chapters 5–8

Age Range: 10 – 18 years
Requirement: Evidence of Baptism (Baptismal Card)

We encourage parents, guardians and young parishioners to **take note, prepare diligently and participate actively**.

PENITENTIAL SERVICE

Did you miss the just concluded Advent Retreat? We had confession on the 3rd day!

Not to worry! 30th December is almost here.

The Lord is inviting us to
“ _Come back to HIM with all our heart!_

Penitential Service is a sacred time of prayer, reflection, repentance, and reconciliation as we prepare our hearts before the new.

Let us come together to seek God’s mercy and renew our relationship with Him.

All parishioners are encouraged to attend.

Yesterday, Saturday, we joyfully joined Mrs. Francisca Abeke Otunla in thanksgiving to God as she celebrated her 70th birthday during a special Birthday Mass 🙏✨

We thank God for her life, His sustaining grace, and the many years of blessings and testimonies. We pray that the Lord continues to grant her good health, peace, joy and many more years filled with divine favour.

May her days continue to reflect God’s goodness and faithfulness.
Happy 70th Birthday and God bless you abundantly!

With deep gratitude to God, our parish family joyfully celebrated Rev. Sr. Mary Anthony Ogunkorede last Sunday as she marked her 90th birthday.

We thank God for her life of total dedication, service, sacrifice and love for Christ and His Church. Her journey of faith continues to inspire generations, and her presence remains a blessing to us all.

We pray for continued strength, divine peace, good health, and abundant grace upon her life.
