📖 BIBLE STUDY OUTLINE
Topic: The Old and the New ✨
Today’s Youth Fellowship Bible Study was a powerful and eye-opening session as we studied the clear distinction between the old and the new in Christ Jesus.
It was a time of deep reflection on transformation, renewal, and the call to live fully in the reality of the new life we have received in Christ 🙏🔥
We discovered that God’s work in our lives is not about patching up the old, but bringing us into a completely new identity, new nature, and new way of living in Him.
📌 The Two Sessions Covered:
👕 1. The Old Clothes and the New Clothes
We learned that the “old clothes” represent our old nature, sinful habits, worldly identity, and life before Christ.
But in Christ, we are called to “put on new clothes” a new identity, righteousness, holiness, and a renewed lifestyle that reflects Christ in us ✨
📖 “Put on the new man…” (Ephesians 4:24)
🍷 2. The Old Wine and the New Bottle
We also studied Jesus’ teaching on old wine and new wine. The old wine represents old systems, traditions, and ways of thinking, while the new wine represents the fresh move of God and His Spirit.
But God does not pour new wine into old bottles, He first makes us new so we can carry what He is doing in this season 🔥
📖 “New wine must be put into new bottles…” (Luke 5:38)
📌 Key Lesson:
God is calling us to total transformation, not holding on to the old while trying to embrace the new. The old must give way for the new to fully manifest in our lives.
As youths, we are reminded that we cannot live in yesterday’s nature and expect today’s glory. We must fully embrace Christ’s new life, new identity, and new purpose for us 💪✨
May the Lord help us to let go of every “old” thing that limits us and fully walk in the newness of life in Christ Jesus 🙏🔥
