Topic: THE HARVEST OF MY JOURNEY - Psalm 126:5-6
Harvest is the reward or fruit of seeds planted and nurtured over time. Spiritually, harvest is God's ordained reward from the seeds we sow and the journey we faithfully endure. Before rejoicing, there was weeping; before
sheaves, there were seeds. Every harvest begins with a journey.
Point 1: THE SOWING TIME (Galatians 6:7β9): Every harvest begins with sowing. The quality of the seed sown determines the quantity of the harvest.
Our faith, words, obedience, prayers, character, commitment to God's service, and daily decisions are seeds.
Many want harvest without sowing. Whatever we sow today determines tomorrow's harvest. "Whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap."
Point 2: THE SILENT TIME (Ecclesiastes 3:1β2): After sowing comes waiting. Though nothing seems to happen, God is working beneath the surface. Delay is not denial.
Keep praying, obeying, and trusting God. Don't stop sowing because you are crying.
Harvest time will surely come (Genesis 8:22).
Point 3: THE SICKLING (HARVEST) TIME (Job 8:7; Genesis 8:22): Harvest may tarry, but it will surely come.
Tears become testimonies, sacrifice becomes reward, prayers become answers, and pain becomes praise. God never wastes faithful obedience.
When harvest comes, return to God with thanksgiving and use yourtestimony to strengthen others.
