Whenever I remember how Pastor Kumuyi strongly supported Evang.Reinhard Bonnke with the full strength of the Deeper Life workforce and network, during his last crusade held in Lagos Nigeria, I AM INSPIRED.
Pastor Kumuyi said, “A crusade is coming ahead of US on November the 8th until the 12th. And you know, if you have heard, the whole Deeper Life in Lagos here, all the districts, all the groups everywhere, all of us are involved. I'm involved, you are involved. All our group pastors and reps are involved. Amen. All our workers, without exception.
Information circulating shows that Deeper Life supplied about 50,000 counsellors and even provided their camp free of charge to any counsellor who needed a place to sleep.
We also heard that when the committees were informed there would be no money for transportation, some people became reluctant, but Deeper Life members used their personal money to ensure the work continued.
Yes, there would be drums and dancing at Reinhard Bonnke’s crusade, something Deeper Life does not practice, yet the church put aside that difference and refused to let the efforts of Bonnke’s ministry go to waste.
NOW, looking at all the denominations we have in Africa, and Nigeria especially...
Even, in your local church there...
CAN THIS KIND OF UNITY AND GOSPEL SUPPORT STILL HAPPEN IN THE NIGERIAN CHURCH?
CAN CHURCHES PUT ASIDE NON-ESSENTIALS AND GO AFTER EVANGELISM AND SOUL-WINNING?
CAN CHRISTIANS FROM ALL DENOMINATIONS ORGANIZES PROGRAM - NO DRUMS, NO CHOIRS, NO POSITION OR RANKING, AND SCATTER EVERYWHERE IN THE STREET, PREACHING JESUS, WINNING SOULS TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD???
