DON'T STOP YOUR INCREASE!

The story of the widow and the oil in 2 Kings 4 is a powerful reminder of God's provision and BLESSING. DON'T STOP YOUR INCREASE
THREE WAYS WE STOP OUR INCREASE
1. BEING FULL OF OURSELVES : When all jars are full, there's no room for more. Humility is key to receiving God's blessings. A full man is a fool, never come full before GOD!
Luke 18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. 18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
2. LACK OF CAPACITY: When there's no empty jar, God can't fill us. We need to be open to God's abundance. The emptier we get the more available we are to be filled! Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
3. ASKING TOO SMALL: The first question I asked myself is, how can the prophet ask a debt owing woman to still go and borrow vessels? But then it's a divine instruction! When we borrow a few jars, the oil is limited. Be bold, ask big, and trust in God's provision.
Conclusion
Let's not stop our increase by being full of ourselves, lacking capacity (empty vessels) , or asking too small (limited vessels)
Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to trust you and not limit your thoughts for me!
