Be the peace you preach, be practical about it. The world will be a better place with people who love peace rather than hatred and envy.

You might not be at fault, still take a leap of faith and settle that dispute today before it drives you both into darkness, two wrongs can not make it right while two rights can't make it wrong.

DAILY BIBLE DEVOTION

Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day. (NLT) -Genesis 1:31

From the beginning God set the example of pausing to rest. God knows that our minds and bodies are more effective when we get adequate rest. We are able to be more kind, effective, creative, and productive when we work 6 days rather than all 7. In what ways are you intentionally cultivating rhymes of rest in your life?

DAILY BIBLE DEVOTION

And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. (NLT) -Luke 12:7

Commentary:

The picture the Bible paints for us is one that lets us know without a shadow of a doubt that we are known, we were made for a plan and a purpose, and God desires salvation for every person. Let’s find rest in these promises and pray these verses over our loved ones! God knows us best and loves us with a fierce and powerful love.

BOLD PRAYERS FROM SURRENDERED HEARTS

What incredible authority we have been given in prayer. How, exactly, do we use this authority? Through Christ’s own name. You see, when we placed our faith in Jesus, he gave us his name.

You can see why the phrase “in Christ’s name” isn’t just some impersonal formula. Rather, it’s a literal position we have with Jesus. That position is recognized by the Father. Jesus tells us, “In that day you will ask in my name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from God” (John 16:26-27).

Here is why Jesus commands us to pray in his name. He’s saying, “Whenever you ask in my name, your request has the same power and effect with the Father as if it were me asking him.” Likewise, when we lay hands on the sick and pray, God sees us as if Jesus is laying hands on the sick to bring healing.

This is also why we’re to come boldly to the throne of grace: to receive. We are to pray with confidence, “Father, I stand before you, chosen in Christ to go forth and bear fruit. Now I make my request that my joy may be full.”

I hear many Christians say, “I asked in Jesus’ name, but my prayers weren’t answered.” These believers state, “I tried to claim the power in Jesus’ name, but it just didn’t work for me.” There are many reasons why we don’t receive answers to our prayers. We may have allowed some sin in our lives, something that defiles our union with Christ. These become roadblocks that dam up the flow of blessing from him. He won’t answer our prayers until we’ve forsaken our sin.

Perhaps the blockage is due to lukewarmness or halfheartedness toward the things of God. Perhaps we’re being stifled by doubt, which cuts us off from the power in Christ. James warns, “Let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord” (James 1:6–7).

God knows our hearts, and he knows when we’re undecided in our commitment to his Son. He reserves the power that’s in Christ for those who surrender to him wholly.

DAILY BIBLE DEVOTION

They said his body was missing, and they had seen angels who told them Jesus is alive! (NLT) -Luke 24:23

Commentary:

Jesus is alive! We no longer have to live in fear of death because God came down and proved that death was not the end of the story for our lives. God’s power goes beyond the grave and offers us an eternal hope. Are you living like He is alive? Like His power is real? Pray and ask Jesus to breath resurrection life into your heart and the hearts of those who don’t know him yet around you.

DAILY BIBLE DEVOTION

Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear. (NLT) -Mark 13:31

Commentary:

It’s easy to get afraid of what we see in this world. We can be overwhelmed by reports of sickness, disease, tragedy, loss, and so many other forms of unspeakable pain that we endure. With Jesus we don’t have to be afraid because this world is not our home. He promised us an eternity with Him that is free of all sorrow and tears! May this hope be your anchor in the face of hardship.

Happy Easter to you family, by the reason of this season we were free from the bandage of sin.

DAILY BIBLE DEVOTION

That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. (NLT) -2 Corinthians 4:16

Commentary:

Have you encountered a snag in your life? ... a lost relationship, rejection from a school or job, financial hardship or maybe simply a lack of determination. You might be praying for God to give you the strength to get back on your feet. But do you know how powerful God is? Instead of limiting your rescue to a level you understand, have faith and believe that God has a plan beyond returning you to ground zero. Through God, you have the capability to excel way beyond your limits. Jot down a goal that you think is impossible then watch God's plan unfold.
[7:02 AM, 3/15/2021] Prophet Bola: STRENGTHENED IN THE FIRE

“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm” (Ephesians 6:13, ESV).

It was the apostle Paul who penned those words to exhort the believers in Ephesus. Another translation says it this way: “Then after the battle you will still be standing firm” (NLT). Of course, there would not be much weight to Paul’s words had he himself not gone through the fire and ultimately been able to stand.

From the very onset of his ministry, the apostle Paul was entrusted with great suffering and trials. Shortly after the Lord stopped Paul on the road to Damascus, our Savior appeared in a vision to a man named Ananias and told him to pray for Paul. “He is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel. For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name” (Acts 9:15-16).

Paul clearly understood that he was appointed by God to be his witness, thus he embraced the suffering that accompanied this call. In fact, he even went so far as to regard suffering as “fellowship.” Notice what he said to the Philippian church: “That I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death” (Philippians 3:10).

It is tragic that this truth about suffering in the Christian life is largely neglected in much of today’s theology. I find it appalling that there are even places where people completely discount Paul’s life and the things he had to go through. Instead, they use the words of Paul to somehow convince people that suffering and trials should not be part of the Christian experience. It is almost inconceivable, especially as we see in the scriptures that Paul certainly did not try to hide his trials from the early church. Paul was constantly delivered into places in which he could not have survived in his own strength. He experienced suffering and trials to such a degree that without the infusion of Christ’s life within, he could not have endured in his own human ability.

Paul possessed an inner core, however, that proves to us today that ordinary people are able to withstand all the adversity and opposition they encounter by the life of Christ within them.

Suffering is part of the Christian life, and our faith becomes deeper each time we are tested, thanks be to God!

DAILY BIBLE DEVOTION

“No, go back to your family, and tell them everything God has done for you.” So he went all through the town proclaiming the great things Jesus had done for him. (NLT) -Luke 8:39

Commentary:

The good news of Jesus spreads when we tell them about everything God has done in your life. God blesses you not only because he loves you but also so he can use you to help bless others too! Share the great things Jesus has done in your life so that others may come to know his goodness.
IS YOUR PASSION FOR GOD GROWING?

May I give you a word I believe is from the mind of Christ through the Holy Spirit? It has to do with what I believe is one of the greatest needs in the church today. Indeed, it is a word every believer ought to hear.

This is the word: Growing numbers of Christians are no longer fully satisfied with Christ. He is being dethroned by what the Lord himself called thorns. Jesus defined thorns as the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, the lusts of other things entering into the heart. Christ said these are the thorns that choke the Word and cause it to become unfruitful.

I ask you, is the Lord more on your mind than a year ago? Do you spend more time in his presence than a year ago? Is your passion for him growi…

DAILY BIBLE DEVOTION

If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. (NLT) -Jeremiah 29:13

Commentary:

We all are searching. Searching for meaning, purpose and answers to the so many why questions out there. Jesus promised that if you make Him the object of your search, He will meet with you. He doesn’t require a certain level of effort or togetherness. All He ask for is an open heart. Pursue Jesus and He is sure to meet you right where you are.
