Prayers are heard in heaven, but they are answered on earth through men. Pray for your helpers to locate you.

TOPIC: The devil is after your helpers.

OPENING SCRIPTURE
1 Thess 2:18 "Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us."

WORDS ON MARBLE
Prayers are heard in heaven, but they are answered on earth through men. Pray for your helpers to locate you.

RELATED SCRIPTURE
Dan 10:13 (NIV) "But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia."

LESSONS
"Nobody is born with a silver spoon" is a popular phrase that almost everyone is familiar with. Any child with a silver spoon met it through his or her parents. The privileges we enjoy here on earth are from God, but they often come through men. God is our Helper, but men are the agents He uses to render help to others. God deserves the glory for the help we receive, while men deserve our appreciation.

Prayers are heard in heaven, but they are answered on earth through men. The devil can never stop God from hearing and responding to your prayers, but he can resist or hinder the men through whom your answers are meant to come. Not knowing this truth can sometimes be one of the reasons we experience delays in seeing answers to our prayers. Such was the case with Daniel. The angel told him that, "...Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, YOUR WORDS WERE HEARD, and I have come in response to them" (Daniel 10:12 NIV). But he was resisted for twenty-one days until "Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia." His prayer was heard by God, but the messenger with the answer was resisted by the devil.

The truth that the spiritual controls the physical can never be overemphasized. People do not help simply because they want to help; they help because they are prompted by an unseen Force - God. It is not enough to just pray to God about a need. To see what you have prayed for become a reality, you must also engage in fervent and persistent prayer, making bold declarations against every form of satanic resistance or hindrance confronting those who carry the answers to your prayers. Remember, only the violent take it by force (see Matt 11:12).

Another case of demonic hindrance is the experience of Apostle Paul, as recorded in his letter to the Thessalonian brethren. He said, "Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us." He was hindered from visiting the Thessalonian brethren. God may have heard your prayers, but the devil could be attempting to hinder the person carrying the answer to your prayer from reaching you. You need to resist him and pray against every hindrance preventing your destiny helpers from connecting with you. The prayers concerning your spouse, children, job, business, and other areas of your life have been heard by God, but every "king of Persia" standing in the way of the men and angels carrying your answers must be stopped. This is why praying in the Holy Ghost is essential for every believer who desires to continue experiencing answers to prayer (see Rom 8:26). Now, tell the devil to free your destiny helpers. Pray! Shalom!

PRAYER
Satan, I rebuke you in the name of the Lord. I command you to release every man and angel you have hindered from reaching me. Let them locate me now with the help I need in their hands, in Jesus' name. Amen!

You need Christ to gain everything you want; don't lose Him trying to gain what you want. It will profit you nothing if you do. Do away with your garbage!

TOPIC: Do away with your "garbage".

OPENING SCRIPTURE
Phil 3:8 (NIV) "What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ."

WORDS ON MARBLE
You need Christ to gain everything you want; don't lose Him trying to gain what you want. It will profit you nothing if you do. Do away with your garbage!

RELATED SCRIPTURE
Matt 16:26 "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"

LESSONS
The opposite of loss is gain, and you can't have them both at the same time. It's either you gain or you lose. For you to gain Christ, you have to lose something or even everything, and this is where the problem lies. You can't have Christ and have the world at the same time. Light and darkness can never dwell together; one has to go for the other. Apostle Paul said of himself, "What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, FOR WHOSE SAKE I HAVE LOST ALL THINGS. I CONSIDER THEM GARBAGE, THAT I MAY GAIN CHRIST."

For you to gain Christ and be in fellowship with Him, there are things you must let go of. Things like unprofitable and ungodly relationships, opportunities that are not in line with His will for you, a reputation built on falsehood, pride, ego, selfishness, hatred, unforgiveness, malice, and any source of trust outside Christ. Sometimes, even good and legitimate things must be let go of too.

Christ doesn't like to share His place with anyone, and this is one of the reasons for our struggles and unproductiveness in our Christian faith. We always want to add something to Christ: Christ with religiosity, idols, greed, hypocrisy, money, gossip, anger, etc. These are the things we don't want to give away because they bring us gain or pleasure. But for us to gain Christ, we must do away with every "garbage" we have.

God is a jealous God. His Word puts it this way: "For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:" (Exo 34:14). If you do, He will leave you to serve the god you have chosen. But you can never serve two gods at the same time! Christ says, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon" (Matt 6:24).

You need Christ to gain everything you want; don't lose Him trying to gain what you want. It will profit you nothing if you do (See Matt 6:33). Like Paul, we must "lose" every unprofitable thing we have to enable us to have and sustain fellowship with Christ. Search yourself and do away with them now! Shalom!

HAPPY SUNDAY!!!

PRAYER
Father, I ask that You take away everything that hinders my ceaseless fellowship with You, in Jesus' name. Amen!

To grow from the consumption of "milk" to the eating of "strong meat", you need the ministry of a Teacher, not just a "Seer."

TOPIC: From Milk to Strong Meat.

OPENING SCRIPTURE
Heb 5:11 "Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing."

WORDS ON MARBLE
To grow from the consumption of "milk" to the eating of "strong meat", you need the ministry of a Teacher, not just a "Seer."

RELATED SCRIPTURE
Heb 5:12 "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat."

LESSONS
God is not just God; He is also a Father. He is a Judge to sinners, God to the world, and Father to His children. Just like our natural fathers, He loves to watch us grow and evolve into mature sons and daughters who do exploits and bring Him glory.

No child is born an adult, and no child is expected to remain a baby forever. No child eats an adult's food in order to grow, and no adult eats a baby's food in order to attain maturity. For healthy growth, the appropriate meal must be given at the right stage. As newborn babes, the Word of God says, "desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:" (1 Pe 2:2). While "strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil." (Heb 5:14).

It is frustrating to see adults trapped in the mentality of babes. That was the experience of the writer of the book of Hebrews. He said, "...we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing." He could not teach them beyond the basic principles of salvation because they were dull of hearing, with feeding bottles still in their mouths. To express his frustration further, he said, "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again..." This is the sad reality in the lives of so many in the Body of Christ.

"...for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again..." These are the kind of believers that make the business of charlatans in the Body of Christ thrive. They swallow the junk and lies thrown at them by their "men of God" hook, line, and sinker without questioning them. They get angry with anyone who tries to open their eyes to the truth. They are prophecy addicts and miracle hunters; they detest sound doctrine. They are made to carry out all kinds of unprintable "assignments" that have no basis in Scripture.

To grow healthily, feed on the Word daily, meditate on it, and engage it by faith. Mature believers never judge God's faithfulness by their trials and tribulations; they know that He is faithful all the time. To grow from the consumption of "milk" to the eating of "strong meat", you need the ministry of a Teacher, not just a "Seer." Shalom!

PRAYER
I refuse to remain a baby Christian. I receive the grace to take responsibility for my spiritual growth and maturity, in Jesus' name. Amen!

TOPIC: Honour the seeds around you.

OPENING SCRIPTURE
Zech 4:10 "For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth."

WORDS ON MARBLE
Treat everyone you meet with respect and honour, for you never can tell what they will grow up to become tomorrow. Honour the seeds around you!

RELATED SCRIPTURE
Lk 23:42-43 "And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise."

LESSONS
We are all seeds; we don't always look like the trees we will become or the fruits we carry within us. This is why we need to be careful and sensitive about the way we relate with the seeds around us, because their trees might be the ones we will need for shelter tomorrow, or their fruits might be the ones we will need for our nourishment.

One of the former Presidents of my great country, Nigeria, once said that he never wore slippers (footwear) until the age of twelve because his parents couldn't afford to buy them for him. Yet, in that poor seed without slippers was a President of a nation. He didn't look like it, and many people probably never thought anything good could ever come out of him. Some must have maltreated him, insulted him, and looked down on him. Some ladies he truly loved might have rejected his proposals, saying they needed an already-made man, not a poor man. But one lady out there saw the greatness in him and chose to marry the poor man whom the rest had rejected. She eventually became the First Lady of her country.

Be careful and sensitive enough to recognise those who carry seeds of greatness—people you may need in the future but who might be poor and broke like you today. Be wise enough to secure your future with them by recognising and honouring the seed of greatness in them, even when they are presently at the same level as you.

The background to our Related Scripture is about two thieves who were crucified with Jesus Christ on the cross. One of the thieves mocked Jesus Christ because they were seemingly at the same level, but the other saw the greatness in Him despite the fact that they were crucified together. He honoured Him and secured his future with Him. "And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom." He called Him Lord—the same person the other thief mocked. "And Jesus said unto HIM, Verily I say unto THEE, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise." Jesus said unto him. Why him and not them? Because you are more likely to remember the person who honoured, respected, valued, and helped you when you were nobody. It is a law: "You shall reap whatever you sow." Honour the seeds around you. Shalom!

HAPPY SUNDAY!!!

Let those who want to leave, leave. Do not mourn their absence, but work on yourself to produce a bountiful harvest of success that will shock them when they return.

TOPIC: Lonely but not alone.

OPENING SCRIPTURE
Jn 16:32 "Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me."

WORDS ON MARBLE
Let those who want to leave, leave. Do not mourn their absence, but work on yourself to produce a bountiful harvest of success that will shock them when they return.

RELATED SCRIPTURE
Jn 17:5 "And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was."

LESSONS
Man (human beings) can cope with so many things, but not loneliness. Why? Because he was not made to be alone. Our Maker said, "...It is not good that the man should be alone;" (Gen 2:18a). Loneliness is not a good thing; little wonder why everyone seeks relationships.

However, there are dimensions of success you may never attain until you are left alone and abandoned by those you trust. Great transformation and the potential for multiplication often come when one is left alone. God often has a way of planting us in the ground like a seed, cutting us off from distractions that hinder the growth of our potential.

Our experiences in life come in times and seasons. Whenever the season of loneliness comes and you are abandoned and left alone by those you least expected, do not worry; a heavyweight of glory is about to be manifested in your life. Such was the case with Jesus. He said, "Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone..." Christ told His disciples that a time would come when all of them would abandon Him and leave Him alone. He concluded by saying, "...yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me." Everyone you know may leave you, but your Heavenly Father will never leave nor abandon you.

What preceded the loneliness of Jesus Christ was an overwhelming weight of glory. He said, "And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was." He prayed for it, and He was glorified. Make up your mind that those who left you will never meet you in the same position where they left you. With loneliness comes transformation and multiplication of potentials, resulting in bountiful harvest of glory. You do not excavate a planted seed because it is lonely in the ground; if you do, you will ruin the potential of that seed and kill it.

Loneliness is not merely the absence of people around you, but the absence of the right people. You can be lonely in the midst of people if they are not the right people you need. Still, you can be lonely in a relationship if you are with the wrong person. It is better to be alone than to be lonely in a relationship. Do not allow the pressure of loneliness to push you into making premature decisions that will ruin your life and kill your potential and dreams. Let those who want to leave, leave. Do not mourn their absence, but work on yourself to produce a bountiful harvest of success that will shock them when they return. Shalom!

PRAYER
Father Lord, I receive the grace to stop mourning the absence of those who left me and to work on my potential for a bountiful harvest of success that will shock them when they return, in Jesus' name. Amen!
