TOPIC: There Is a Way Out; Keep Your Faith.

OPENING SCRIPTURE
Isa 43:19 "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."

WORDS ON MARBLE
There is a way out of these challenges. Even if you feel you have come to the end of the road, there is still a way out for you. Keep your faith!

RELATED SCRIPTURE
1 Cor 10:13 "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

LESSONS
Life experiences are marked by times and seasons. There are times when everything seems to be working well, and other times when it appears as though all the demons in hell have been let loose against you. At such times, you might have exhausted all you know to do, yet nothing seems to work.

I wish I could pray that you will never experience this kind of season in your life, but it is only a matter of time before we all have our share of such seasons. However, this is our confidence in times like these: "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." (1 Cor 10:13).

There is a way out of these challenges. Even if you feel you have come to the end of the road, there is still a way out for you. God said, "I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." There has never been any darkness thick enough to stop the breaking of the day. No matter how tough or dark your night season is, one thing is certain: your morning must come. Day must break!

To assure us of our morning season, God said, "Behold, I will do a new thing." God is set to do a new thing for us. He asked, "Shall ye not know it?" We must know and believe beyond every reasonable doubt that God will do a new thing for us. Yes, He will wipe away our tears and take away our shame. When? "Now it shall spring forth." Now is the time, and we must believe and trust Him by coming out of depression, self-pity, anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, low self-esteem, fear, anxiety, worry, and every negative mindset, so we can embrace the new thing He has for us.

We need this mindset and faith to see the dawning of our morning. Don't forget, there is a way out for you. Shalom!

HAPPY SUNDAY!!!

CONFESSION
The dawning of my morning is now. Darkness has no more power over my life and destiny. God is doing a new thing for me, and now is the time. Hallelujah!

Don't quit or give up, no matter what you're going through. The succour and inspiration of others are hidden in your challenges, and you must never deny them. You're helped to help others!

TOPIC: You're Helped to Help Others.

OPENING SCRIPTURE
Heb. 2:18 “For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.”

WORDS ON MARBLE
Don't quit or give up, no matter what you're going through. The succour and inspiration of others are hidden in your challenges, and you must never deny them. You're helped to help others!

RELATED SCRIPTURE
Heb. 12:12 “Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;”

LESSONS
Greatness is cherished and admired by all, but it does not come without a price. Behind greatness are scars, and those scars are not for us alone, but for the inspiration and motivation of others aspiring for greatness. The scars are evidence of the suffering that comes with the process of greatness; don't hide them. The process of greatness is nothing short of suffering. It is never palatable; it is laced with bitter experiences. The suffering is not punishment, but training to make us fit and mature enough to fulfill our purpose. More importantly, it helps us connect with and understand the pain and struggles of those charting their course toward greatness.

Nobody who is raised by God for greatness remains arrogant or proud. Why? Because the training eliminates self and pride and inculcates compassion to help others succeed. Where others condemn and castigate the errors, setbacks, and frustrations of those aspiring for greatness, you who have been helped by God should “…lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees.” You're helped to help others.

I found myself in some difficult situations years ago, and while praying and asking God, “Why me?” He responded and said to me, “It is so that you will be able to help others.” That encouraged and strengthened me to go through it. You see, you can never be truly sensitive and compassionate toward others' predicaments if you have never been in their shoes before. This is the reason we always receive help from the Lord in times of need — He has been there too. The Word of God puts it this way: “For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.” God does not derive joy from seeing us suffer, but He has chosen us to extend healing to others through our suffering. This is why we don't quit or give up, no matter what we're going through. The succour and inspiration of others are hidden in our challenges, and we must never deny them. Yes, we're saved to save others!

Don't mock, castigate, or condemn those having financial challenges. Help them if you can, but don't add salt to their injuries — you're not in their shoes. The reason for their crisis today might become your breakthrough tomorrow; you never know. The troubled marriages you're gossiping about today might become the source of healing for your marriage tomorrow, so pray for them. The troubled children and parents you're condemning today might become the very people whose testimonies or messages will deliver your children or grandchildren from occultism, depression, and su***de tomorrow. Be sensitive and compassionate enough to “…lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees.” Help them if you can, and leave them peacefully if you can't. Shalom!

PRAYER
Dear Lord, I ask for the grace never to mock or condemn those going through difficult times, but to help them in Jesus' name. Amen!

Who you allow to own your day controls it. Redeem your day from the devil. It is not his day, but the day of the Lord. No room for depression!

TOPIC: Redeem Your Day!

OPENING SCRIPTURE
Ps. 118:24 "This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it."

WORDS ON MARBLE
Who you allow to own your day controls it. Redeem your day from the devil. It is not his day, but the day of the Lord. No room for depression!

RELATED SCRIPTURE
Ps. 42:6, 11 "O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar... Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God."

LESSONS
Just like David, we often encounter challenges that tend to cast us down and quiet our souls. Once we yield to depression, the devil takes the opportunity to rob us of our joy, which is our strength and access to the divine presence. David understood this very well, so he encouraged himself to rise above depression and hopelessness in order to redeem his day from the hand of the devil.

From our text, we discover three secrets David used to end his depression:

1. "Therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar."
He remembered God's faithfulness in his life by counting his blessings. Call to remembrance the numerous victories and blessings you have enjoyed in the past, and give thanks.

2. "...hope thou in God:"
Despite his predicaments, he refused to give up his hope in God. Keep your hope alive and continue believing in the possibility of the things He has shown you, no matter the resistance.

3. "For I shall yet praise him,"
He praised God even when he did not know how long it would take for his story to change. Stop complaining and start praising God, for it takes praises to be raised from depression to unlimited joy.

It is time to redeem your day from the devil. It is not his day, but the day of the Lord, and we are to rejoice and be glad in it. Rejoice!

Note: Who you allow to own your day controls it. Redeem your day from the devil.

HAPPY WEEKEND!

CONFESSION
This is the day the Lord has made; I shall rejoice and be glad in it. My day is free from depression and discouragement. Victory is mine in Jesus' name. Hallelujah!

Your progress is as far as the person you're comparing yourself with can go, even if he is going nowhere. Comparison is not wise!

TOPIC: Comparison Is Not Wise.

OPENING SCRIPTURE
2 Cor. 10:12 "For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise."

WORDS ON MARBLE
Your progress is as far as the person you're comparing yourself with can go, even if he is going nowhere. Comparison is not wise!

RELATED SCRIPTURE
Col. 4:17 "And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it."

LESSONS
One thing is certain in life: no one desires failure; everyone wants to be successful. But the bitter truth is that not all will be successful. Not because God doesn't have the capacity to make everyone successful, but because the power to succeed is no longer in His hands alone; He has given it to us (See Josh. 1:8). Success or failure is solely the outcome of our choices.

In His Word, He says, "...they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise." Do you want to be successful? If yes, then stop comparing yourself with others. Comparison turns one into the shadow of another. You know, where you stop is where your shadow stops; it can never move ahead of you. This is what comparison does. Your progress is as far as the person you're comparing yourself with can go, even if he is going nowhere.

The story of Cain and Abel has a lot to teach us on the subject of comparison (See Gen. 4:3–9). Cain compared God's commendation of him with that of his brother, Abel, and he became frustrated, depressed, envious, and hateful toward his brother. The anger of not "measuring up" to his brother led him to kill him. Comparison is fertile ground for the growth of frustration, depression, anger, envy, jealousy, hatred, and even thoughts of destroying the person you conclude is better than you. It's not wise; it's demonic. Kill it!

"...say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it." This text is the cure for comparison. Just like Archippus, there is a ministry/purpose every one of us has received from the Lord. That is what we are charged to work hard to fulfill. And you have only one person to compare yourself with in fulfilling this ministry/purpose — that person is YOU.

Be real, original, and free like a bird. Enjoy your life by being yourself, not a photocopy of another. Stop comparing yourself with others! Shalom!

CONFESSIONS
I am content being myself. I am not called into comparison. I have received a ministry from the Lord, and this ministry I shall fulfill in Jesus' name. Amen! Hallelujah!

Captivity is real, but what is more real is that it can be turned around; it is just a matter of time. Hold on and keep your faith!

TOPIC: Hold on a little longer.

OPENING SCRIPTURE
Ps. 126:1 "When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream."

WORDS ON MARBLE
Captivity is real, but what is more real is that it can be turned around; it is just a matter of time. Hold on and keep your faith!

RELATED SCRIPTURE
Num. 23:19 "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?"

LESSONS
God is a Creator, and everything created or made has a manual to guide how best it should be used. The Bible is God's manual to guide our lives, and we are to study it in order to navigate through the storms of life and maximize our potential. But unfortunately, only a few read it, and the majority among those who do read it pay little attention to understanding what they read. The Word of God admonishes us to "...give attendance (attention) to reading" the Scriptures.

The Scripture that will profit you is the one you give attention to studying. Many quote Scriptures they do not understand, while some quote them out of context. Among the several gifts I covet from my spiritual father, Dr. Gbenga Barnabas, is the gift of "rightly dividing the Word of God." While listening to him pray for someone some time ago using today's opening scripture, a word from that text 'stood up' in my spirit. That word was WHEN. Let us look at the scripture: "WHEN the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream."

'When' means "at what time." The implication of this word in this text is that there is a time for every captivity to turn around. They are not meant to last forever; they MUST turn. Yes, captivity is real, but what is more real is that it can be turned around; it is just a matter of time. You see, "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" If He says He will turn our captivities, He WILL turn them. They must be turned!

There is an expiration date and time for that captivity stagnating your life and destiny, and it will expire if you hold on a little longer and keep your faith. It will feel like a dream, but it will be real. No matter how hopeless your situation is, it will TURN. It will turn into a testimony, and your mockers and haters will join you in sharing it. The Lord added: "Then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them" (Ps. 126:2b).
Again, I say, hold on and keep your faith. Your season of laughter and a new song of victory is here. Read it: "Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing" (Ps. 126:2a).
Congratulations! Do not forget to invite me to your celebration, for I see you celebrating. Shalom!

PRAYER
I receive grace to hold on and keep my faith until my captivity is turned around, in Jesus' name. Amen!
