WHY DELIVERANCE IS NEEDFUL and AREAS WE MAY NEED DELIVERANCE

1. Fulfilment of our destiny depends on it; it is impossible for us to fulfil our potentials or destiny while under any kind of bo***ge to the devil, whether they are demons, curses, evil habits or witchcraft.

Deliver me and rescue me from the hands of foreigners whose mouths are full of lies, whose right hands are deceitful.

Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace.

Our barns will be filled with every kind of provision. Our sheep will increase by thousands, by tens of thousands in our fields; our oxen will draw heavy loads. There will be no breaching of walls, no going into captivity, no cry of distress in our streets Ps 144:11-14 NIV

We see above that the fulfilment of destiny and potentials which the psalmist required would only be possible after deliverance from the hands of “foreigners”. This include the future of our children both sons and daughters; what happens to them in their physical appearance and intellectually. Our bank account (our barns), our businesses (our sheep and oxen) and peace in our family and community are all governed by the level of spiritual freedom we enjoy. A person in bo***ge will struggle to fulfil his destiny. Demons can make us misbehave or fall into trouble.

2. Development of right spiritual living-The way we serve God is also determined by the level of our spiritual freedom.

To grant us that we, Being delivered from the hand of our enemies, Might serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life. Luke 1:74-75 NKJV(emphasis, author’s)

Even emotional discomfort can hinder our service to God. Poverty can drive a brother or sister out of church. Spiritual gifts can be frustrated by demons. Destinies can be put to a halt due to demonic bo***ge. A lot of women, who would otherwise have nothing with witchdoctors, are driven there by lack of fruit of the womb.

When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid……Jesus did not let him, but said, "Go home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you." So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed. Mark 5:15, 19-20 NIV

The man mentioned above was known in his community as a mad man but he was only in bo***ge to demons. When Jesus Christ delivered him, He released him back into his destiny as a soul winner. The bible records that he was good at it; he covered ten cities (Decapolis). I have seen genuine ministers of the gospel operating under a curse and demonic operation, I can tell you it is a hard way to run ministry.

3. Contending with powers in our territory- I can tell you unless the satanic cover over the territory we live is broken, life is terrible.
These are the words of him who has the sharp, double-edged sword. I know where you live — where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to my name. You did not renounce your faith in me, even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death in your city — where Satan lives Rev 2:12-13 NIV

The believers in this kind of territory often pay the ultimate price of death in their defence of their faith. That is why we are encouraged to make sure that all ancient shrines are destroyed from our villages and cities. Daniel’s answer to prayer was delayed for twenty-one days because of the Prince of Persia. It was only after that demon was dislodged that he could receive instruction from the angel sent to him. This is what is called Strategic Spiritual Warfare; and I encourage every believer to engage in this through intensive night vigils and fasting prayers.

4. Breaking of limiting powers of curses and evil covenants-Curses limit people and potentials. A cursed person or city is a shackled person or city.

The men of the city said to Elisha, "Look, our lord, this town is well situated, as you can see, but the water is bad and the land is unproductive." "Bring me a new bowl," he said, "and put salt in it." So they brought it to him. Then he went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying, "This is what the Lord says: 'I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.'" And the water has remained wholesome to this day, according to the word Elisha had spoken. 2 Kings 2:19-22 NIV

If we are not delivered from curses then we are shackled. We will be talking more about this as we continue. My prayer is that all that will read this book shall be totally delivered and released into their destiny, in Jesus Name- Amen.

WHO HAS BEWITCHED YOU, OH FOOLISH CHRISTIANS!? - 1

You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh? Have you experienced so much in vain—if it really was in vain? So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? Galatians 3:1-5 NIV

It may interest my reader to know that 95% of everything written in the Bible was written to God’s Children, Believers or Christian leaders. From the encouragements, corrections, teachings, promises, and the rebukes, they were all addressed to God’s people. Let me add, even the words that sounds like insults. The reason it is this way is because little is expected from those who hasn’t believed yet. All that is needed from them is to believe in Jesus Christ, and follow the steps to being added to the faith. After that, then the whole teachings in the Bible will begin to make more sense to them.

Unfortunately, the Church spends much time preaching the messages that was written to believer to unbelievers. It is high time our messages are refocused to the Church, and the body, not those outside. This doesn’t mean everyone is in the position to use the Bible to preach to the Church. This is the first bewitching I have seen in this generation.

Let me start by saying that everyone is entitled to reading their Bible, everyone is entitled to gaining personal insight from the Bible, but not everyone is in the position to use the Bible to preach to the body of Christ. Paul said:

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-13 NIV

Take note of those whom Christ gave the administrative position of equipping the Church, and the work of those who are being equipped. The Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, & Teachers, they were raised to equip the Church, that is every believer. Aside the Apostles , others do not have the capacity to function in all offices, that is why they have their roles. While the members are being equipped, they go out to render services to God, for the building of the Church. This order has been broken down due to the advancement of technology. Everyone now takes up their cameras and make videos and skits to correct the Church. To correct Pastors, to correct the Prophets, to correct the Apostles. WHO HAS BEWITCHED US? The social media now makes every believer think they are equal to the administrative blocks of the Church. This is a bewitching from the pit of hell. Respect is no longer in our midst. No holy fear for fathers of the faith.

Let me sound this as a warning, our Spiritual life will die soon enough. Everyone who opens the Bible will read the same thing, but not everyone who reads the Bible is able to transmit life. Paul says,

He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 2 Corinthians 3:6 NIV

The letter itself kills. So, that you read the Bible that the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and teachers read, does not make you equal to them.

So should we keep quiet when they preach heresy? Yes, but No. When it comes to instituted authority, not everyone is in the position to correct them. But everyone can pray for the Church. You can encourage people to read their Bibles for themselves, but you are not in the position to speak against them, or point fingers for corrections. God raised the Apostles and Prophets for that. Note, not the Pastors, not the Evangelists, neither the teachers. These three roles are very close to the flock, and if they make those corrections from their position, they will end up poisoning the mind of the flock. Talk less of those who are meant for service, why turn to correct the authorities? That you are online doesn’t make you an Apostle or a Prophet.

For the sake of balance, you can never eradicate false teachers from the Church, God raised them for those whose inching ears wants to hear falsehood. False teachings only sweep those who doesn’t have root in Christ. So, I am calling on the Pastors, and Teachers to leave the corrections to the Apostles and Prophets, and focus on building the church you pasture, and teach sound bible. In that way you will build more mannered believers who knows their bible, and know their role as believers.

For the believers, your service is to live a life that will convince the public that we are different, and preach the gospel in your own strength. Enough of this fights against what a pastor did, and what they did not do.

PROPHECIES & PREDICTIONS

In this journey and study of prophecy, let us discuss about Predictions. We have had and still have most so called Prophets of today who go about doing Predictions, this wouldn’t have been a discussion if they weren’t called Prophets. They predict elections, football matches, weather, etc.

A prediction is a statement, guess, or forecast about what someone thinks will happen in the future, often based on evidence, experience, or reasoning. Take note of the words ‘guess, someone’. This has nothing to do with God. God doesn’t give a guess, He speaks from His capacity and omniscience power.

The Bible calls this category of people soothsayer or fortune-tellers, and the bible clearly reveals God’s stands to it.

There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or daughter pass through the fire [as a sacrifice], one who uses divination and fortune-telling, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, For these nations which you shall dispossess listen to those who practice witchcraft and to diviners and fortune-tellers, but as for you, the Lord your God has not allowed you to do so. “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me [Moses] from among you, from your countrymen (brothers, brethren). You shall listen to him. Deuteronomy 18:10, 14-15 AMP

God raises Prophets not fortune-tellers. The distinction is clear. It also said we shouldn’t give attention to them because it is detestable to God.

Haven made God’s stands clear, let us now dive into the topic proper so we can really know at what point we draw the line between a Prophet and a fortune-teller.

The Spirit realm is an open space without the walls we see in the natural, everything in that realm flows like water currents and anyone can tap into it if he or she learns how. This is why occult manifest some supernatural powers. A strict training of your spirit man will enable you pick from that spiritual frequencies. One resource in that realm is knowledge. Also, I’ll like you to know that, that realm isn’t governed by time, so 1999 and 2040 are just in the same space. So, the practice of divination is to through diabolic means tap into the spiritual frequency to pick information. I remember once when a young man walked up to me and said some personal plans of mine to me, he called it prophecy. Everyone would be excited to hear that, they could even take it as a confirmation from God, but not me, I felt naked. To me my spiritual space has been tapped into without my permission, so I stood at that point and locked my spiritual space.

That is how most destinies have been destroyed, because their spiritual space is left unguarded. It is with such ignorance of men that the diviners function. The reason I took the discussion from the diviners angle is so you understand why they are mostly correct in the things they predict. Have you not asked yourself how the weather forecast works? They speak about the weather conditions of months and years ahead. It is that same frequency they are able to tap into.

The fortune-tellers also work in hand with the diviners. They most times predict and then go back to invoke what they’ve said into your space. My Sister was once a victim of this. A fortune-teller asked if she had eye problem. At the time she didn’t have such, then he gave a recommendation of what she should do when it comes. Few weeks later my sister developed some eye problems, and at first we tried to follow the prescribed method, after some weeks, no results, then it dawned on us it wasn’t natural. It was prayers that broke that spell.

As the definition says, it is a guess, but these fortune-tellers wants to be seen as Prophets so they employ diabolic means to invoke their predictions into the spiritual realm so it can manifest in the natural. Predictions on its own is a mere guess that can be correct or not, but we don’t call this prophecy.

You must note that fortune-telling was placed in the same category as witchcraft. This is because the soul aim of these practices is to manipulate man and his natural space. Anything done by manipulation, or with the intent of manipulation can be considered as witchcraft.

So let us answer some questions that might be lingering in your heart.

Can a genuine Prophet predict? Yes, but a prophet who speaks for God shouldn’t indulge in such practice if he must continue to speak for God. A prophet I respect; Prophet T.B Joshua of blessed memory, initially was involved in predictions, but along the line stopped it. Though he never said God said when he was predicting.

But here is my advice for Prophets coming up, don’t get involved in predictions if you must speak for God. Some information could filter into your spirit as you develop your spirit man, don’t take pleasure in entertaining predictions. That was how most Prophets lost God. As they developed their spirit, the information they got from that frequency was mistaken to be God’s voice and they gradually missed the real thing called prophecy.

That is why I am taking time to make sure prophecy is properly understood, so you don’t misunderstand fortune-telling, soothsaying, & divination to be prophecy.

Another advice, seek God not prophecy!

What if what they say happens? That it happened in this natural realm doesn’t mean it was from God in the spiritual realm. God allows it most times so people can hear what their inching ears want to hear.

How do I know when God is telling me something that is about to happen? Some things are a NO, it can’t be from God, like predicting football matches, etc. When such information comes, look for the message and its relevance. God doesn’t speak for the sake of it, He speaks with a purpose and message. So if the information you get is without a divine purpose and message that aligns with God’s word then it is not from God.

KNOWING WHEN TO KEEP IT TO YOURSELF.

Some time ago, I got an information about someone from the spirit realm. I can safely say it was God. But it bordered me, so I asked my father in the Lord, and his response is as follows. “there are three reasons God could give you an information, and three ways you can respond to it. 1. For personal knowledge, God could speak for you to just know about the matter, He most likely won’t want you to do anything about it. 2. To tell or warn the person. 3. For intercession. So, you must know when to keep it to yourself, when to warn the person, and when to pray for the person. The Holy Spirit will help you know what to do”.

This counsel helped me much later. In the 2023 election, while in the place of prayer, God told me Tinubu will be the next president. At that time it was suicidal to say that outside. God’s purpose for that was that we have not learned our lesson. I kept this to myself until the manifestation.

So, God could give you an information, you must know when to be quite, when to confront the matter, and when to take it to prayers.

Like my father in the Lord said. ‘THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL HELP YOU’

CHANGING PROPHECIES: TURNING THE GOOD TO BAD OR BAD TO GOOD

As we go ahead in this subject of Prophecy, it is important to make you understand that the outcome of prophecy is subject to change. What I mean is that you have the ability of changing the outcome of a prophetic word. This works for either the good or bad prophecies.

I have heard people say, the minister prophesied but it didn’t happen. In the next chapter we will discuss what could cause good prophecies not to come to pass. But let us look at this scripture.

If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed, and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned. And if at another time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be built up and planted, and if it does evil in my sight and does not obey me, then I will reconsider the good I had intended to do for it. Jeremiah 18:7-10 NIV

There was a prophetic word to the nation of Israel, and in that instance it was a warning. The prophecy carried disaster, but it said there is a possibility of making that bad prophecy turn good, or better still, God relenting from His anger.

Now that will bring us to discussing the nature of prophecy.

THE NATURE OF PROPHECY (INSTRUCTIONS)
I want my reader to understand that a lot of people have taken promises alone to be prophecies. This is why we are exploited by false prophets. The nature of prophecy is INSTRUCTION. I tell people that God’s response 95% of the times to our prayers is an instruction. Only in few instances that God just acts. If we carefully look at the scriptures we prophesy over ourselves, we will see that there is always an instruction either before or after the promise.

If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land; but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.” For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. Isaiah 1:19-20 NIV

no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord. Isaiah 54:17 NIV

This is just two among the millions of promises we quote from the bible. These two has instructions attached to them. The good of the land is for the willing and obedient. The protection against weapons and tongues is an heritage of servants of God, not believers.

Instructions draws the curtain and letting only the serious once cross to the other side. That is how prophecy works. God words presents to us the great benefits, His wonderful plans, and thoughts, but not without an instruction. Most people are often carried away by the promises that they miss the instructions.

Some times God’s word (Prophecy) might come fully as an instruction or warning as the one we see in our text chapter. Jeremiah kept prophesying destruction, and disasters. I can’t remember reading up to a handful of clear promise in Jeremiah’s prophecies, yet our text scripture sums it up. No matter how bad the prophecy sounds, it comes with an instruction that can help you change the outcome. Vis Vasa, no matter how positive the prophecy is, it carries an instruction that can either retain a good outcome or bring about the bad outcome.

REPENT & OBEY
There are two words mentioned in that scripture, REPENT and OBEY. They both hold positivity. If you are on the wrong side and you receive a harsh prophecy, you must repent, and if you are on the good side and the prophecy comes, then obey the instructions and still retain the good.

Repent: This simply is to Reflect, Examine, Purse, End, Nullify, & Turn. Repentance isn’t complete if you don’t TURN. This is what will also turn around the negative outcome into a positive one. So, those who were doing wrong that attracted a prophecy of disaster and destruction should Turn away from those ways and obey God.

Not Obey: This is for those whose good deeds attracted good prophecy, it they turn to no longer obey God, then their good prophecies will also turn to bad outcomes.

THE POWER YOU HAVE TO DECIDE!
Prophecy gives you the privilege to decide the outcome. Either to corrupt the good, or to change the bad. Any prophecy that doesn’t put a task on you might not be from God. Any prophecy that takes away your ability to decide the outcome can not be from God. I once heard a so called prophet tell a lady she was going to die at a particular date, and he asked her to only go and say good bye, as no amount of prayers can change it. That can’t be God.

Humans were made free moral agents, you are meant to exercise your will. You can choose to obey or disobey God. The only thing you can’t decide is the outcome of your choice. Your ability to decide ends at the outcome of the first choice. If your first choice is not to repent, then you will definitely face the outcome of destruction, and on the other hand, if your first choice is to obey God, then the outcome will be greatness.

In summary, let us not lose focus that this is written to Prophets. I think this is where the prophetic ministry began to lose it. They don’t present the true nature of prophecy. And if you say you are a prophet, you must understand the nature of prophecy. You present the Word of God with its instructions, giving your hearers the ability to decide the outcome.

Don’t struggle to be the kind of prophet that whatever you say must happen because you said it, your hearers still holds the ability to decide.

DO IT WITH FAITH
…Whatever is not from faith is sin [whatever is done with doubt is sinful]. Romans 14:23 AMP

The background to this message is, as I prayed, I heard in my spirit, ‘anything done outside the spirit is sin’. I was very sure it was a statement I once stumbled into in the Bible, but didn’t know where it was. As the voice grew louder in my spirit, I had to check. I found out that I was saying it slightly different, though it held the same meaning to me. So, it said ‘whatever is not from faith is sin’. I will now paraphrase it to fit into how it came into my spirit, ‘anything done outside faith is sin’.

Contextually, Paul spoke on conscience in doing the things you do regarding some certain foods, and special days. But what is intriguing in the last verse of Romans 14, Paul said ‘whatever’, this means that, the final statement goes beyond food, or days matter, it is general. It can also be said ‘anything’. Thus, the principle of that last statement applies beyond that particular discussion.

So, whatever is not from faith, or done with faith is considered to be sin. You must settle your destination, your outcome in your heart before you start out, or take the first step. So, if you ever did somethings even when you don’t believe in that thing, Paul says it is sin.

As I meditated further, the Holy Spirit linked me to Judges 6 verse 12. I came to see that before God commences a journey with anyone, He must establish their faith first. God had to establish a covenant to give Abraham the faith needed for the journey. (Gen. 15).

So, also, when Gideon was chosen as the vessel to deliver his people, an angel was sent to test the level of his faith. And one way God test our faith is to give us a promising or motivating word.

He said to Abram “do not be afraid, I am your shield, your very great reward”.

Same thing when the angel appeared to Gideon.

When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.” Judges 6:12 NIV

The purpose of such motivation is to test your faith, to expose your fears, to enable you express your disappointments so He can deal with it before the journey commences. Because, anything done outside faith will be declared as sin, and to avoid that, God considers building your faith as elementary.

What are the things that enables us build this faith?

This can be answered from the word of the angel to Gideon. “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.”

- The presence of God: if you are not sure of the presence of God with you, that faith isn’t there. You must be very careful not to start out any journey in life, or destiny without the presence of God. Moses said to God, ‘if your presence do not go with us, do not send us from here’. Ex. 33:15. Moses understood that for anything he does through the journey to come from faith, then he must be sure the presence of God is with them. This is what will make you pray before any decision is made. Challenges will arise in the course of the journey of life, career, ministry, relationship, what will help you not to stop is to be sure you carry God, that the Lord is with you. So the angel told Gideon, the matter of the Lord being with you is settled.

- Know who you are in God’s purpose: The angel went on to call Gideon what heaven called him, ‘mighty warrior’. You might not look like it now, but be sure what God calls you in that project. It is God who knows what he want to achieve in my life, so what does He call me? A Victor? A royal priesthood? Light of the world? Peculiar person? Mighty warrior? This name/title will fit the assignment in your hands. You can’t be called a mighty warrior where God wants you to offer peace. Gideon had a battle before him. What is before you? What is your pursuit in life? What is the vision you have? Now, go to God in prayers to discover what He calls you.

With these two things in place, you can be sure you are starting out in faith, and whatever you do won’t be considered as sin. Don’t take the risk of starting out without making sure God is leading and will be going with you in that direction, don’t take the risk of starting without discovering who you are in God’s purpose.

Now, if you have started already, STOP!✋️ Before it gets tougher than it is, be sure you are carrying God, and find out what He calls you. This is very important, because times will come when you will be tempted to return to Egypt.

This is a new week, I encourage you, do things that only comes from faith, and you know how to build that faith now!

ARE THERE STILL PROPHECY IN OUR DAYS?

Below is a comment and my response to the comment regarding my last teaching on WHAT IS REALLY PROPHECY?

Comment:
I don't believe in prophecy these days. I am not saying that God doesn't reveal things to people anymore, no, that is not what I am saying.

The kind of prophets recorded in the Bible, are no more. These are the Silent Days, just like the days before the birth of Christ.

A lot of pastors pretend to be prophets, so as to draw members to their Church, because they know that the more the members, the more the offerings. And the more the offerings, well, you know (this is most common among independent churches, i.e.,one man church)

We need to know that our primary mandate is not to prophecy
📖 Matthew 28:18–20
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Note this, He did not say "go and prophecy in my name".
Prophecy, speaking in different tongues, interpretation of tongues, teaching, etc, are all extra gifts of the Holy Spirit.
DO NOT FORCE THEM

And I also understand your point, but I disagree. First the matter about independent ministries is a bias you have. You would need to work on that.

Back to the subject of Prophecy, I don't know if you read Joel 2:28.

“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.

Now, this scripture was fulfilled in Acts 2, in other words, the full manifestation of the Holy Spirit is to make prophecy possible again. Yes there was a silent age before Jesus was born, but the Holy Spirit was given, and not to be silent but to represent Jesus. So, is the Holy Spirit is still at work on earth, then prophecy cannot be extinct, because He is called the Spirit of Prophecy.

Second, take note of those who will prophecy in that scripture, 'sons and daughters', this connote that Prophecy is meant to be active and current in a generation, that's why it wasn't for the old men. So the young ones will be able to consecrate themselves to getting a word from God concerning their generation, and that is what prophecy is.

Paul spoke of prophecy to the Corinthian church, asking that they desire the gift of Prophecy. So what silent age are we in?

If we have failed to align ourselves to God’s purpose, for Him to speak His mind, we should say that it is no more, rather, taking up the challenge to align, for Him to speak.

I hope you take up your Bible, look for how many times prophecy was mentioned in the New Testament.
