TOPIC: THE POWER OF ALTAR

TEXTUAL SOURCE: Gen 12:6-9
Genesis 12:6-9 (KJV) And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land.
And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.
And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Beth-el, and pitched his tent, having Beth-el on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD.
And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south.

MEMORIZE: Gen 12:8
And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Beth-el, and pitched his tent, having Beth-el on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD.

As a Christian, what is an altar to you? In the Hebrew language it means, "a place of surrender." This is where you lay down all your problems and God divinely empowers you and sorts out issues occuring in your life. The altar is a place of exchange and sacrifice not to be taken lightly whereas you play spiritual gymnastics. After you have placed all your worries things should not remain the same!

Altars were made of stones that were unbreakable. So the question stands, what altar are you bowing down to? Are you bowing down to idols? When you bow and surrender to God, you are telling Him that you have full confidence in Him, not questioning His ability to remove the problems you face. Allow God to change your circumstances without interfering. Don't ever think that God doesn't answer your prayers because you don't receive instant responses, your prayers are like incense to the Lord. There is an altar in heaven where all your prayers are collected and your tears gathered. Angels await on your prayers and for you to cry out to God. Always remember that the altar is also God's altar and the minute you build an altar you establish an opening of the reality of heaven to come on the earth. The measure of influence increases according to the consecration of the one who submits to the one who you worship. Hence why it is important you know what or who you are bowing down to. Is it your worries, anxieties and lack or is it God? Genesis 12:6-9

Whatever it is that is happening in your life must not stop your prophesies from manifesting. Do not worry about the enemies and the things that are bothering you. Abram built an altar in the midst of his enemies and in the midst of all his problems. Every time he made a move, he made an altar. Not only did he build an altar, he cried on the name of the Lord! A perfect example of what we should do. Genesis 12:8

Altars are a memorial of the times when God meets with us, a memorial of the greatness of God in our lives, places that you go back to, time and time again. Your altar must always be a place of encounter and where you have a spirit of expectancy. Genesis 12:1-14

God says He will not leave until all His promises are made to pass so when God makes you a promise, He will not leave you until it comes true. He is no man's debtor! You need to speak the Word of God into every situation. The altar is a place of forgiveness, a place of worship. The spirit of tiredness should stop! You have energy to do everything else but when you come to the presence of the Lord you feel tired, you have to change the way you treat the Lord. For how long is God going to put up with your behaviour? The altar is a place of covenants. Do not be afraid to remind God of all the things He has promised you. The relationship between you and God is personal, so do not bow down at someone else's altar!

Joel 1:4 - You must arise in intercession and stand before the Lord in prayer. Joel 2:12-14 When you are in right standing you can provoke the judgement to fight on your nation's behalf. If you want God to do something, you need to take action. You need to come before the Lord and call upon His name regardless of the situation. The altar is not an ordinary altar!

PRAYER POINT
Father we thank you for another day and a new blessing that today brings for us,and the gift of life. God all our shortcomings let it be forgiven by your mercy this morning in Jesus name. God I pray and I make demand that my altar begging to work for my fabour let my altar fight my battle for me and let me have testimonies and every altar that is not of you let them be destroy in Jesus name.Amen

TOPIC: THAT WE MAY SEE JESUS

TEXTUAL SOURCE.L: John 12: 20-22
And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:
The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.

MEMORIZE: John 14;15
If ye love me, keep my commandments.

In our text we read about some Grecians who sought to see Jesus. People of God, time is running fast, Jesus will soon come. We are in an era where the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ is almost everywhere through the internet and social media platforms. So, there’s no excuse for any believer to say “I didn’t hear”. Jesus wants to have us with Him in heaven (John 14:1). You should be excited that He is coming for you and me. Nowadays, many believers are not getting ready for their eternal home.

What is your purpose of going to church? Many go to church to socialize, some to do business, solicit for help and some to use the church. Whatever your motive, are you here to see Jesus? Those Grecians came to the Passover feast with one singular reason, one motive and one purpose, to see Jesus. My belief is that they must have heard about the various miracles Jesus performed, they must have heard about the healing power of God but they didn’t allow that to move them; they were desirous to see Him. The Grecians believed Jesus carried something unique and that He had solution to their problems. Many go to churche today they don’t get answers to prayers because their reason for being church isn’t to see Jesus. You can’t seek Jesus wholeheartedly and your situation remains the same. If you are a persistent seeker of God, He must but be glorified in what you are going through (Zechariah 4:7, John 12:23).

But there's one naked truth about seeing Jesus in some ways you can't see can't see Jesus! yes you read well, when you are not desire to see Him you can't see him,if you are still interested in smoking and drinking alcohol and womanizing am sorry you still can't find him at at all. the Grecian have a determination and forsake all their mentality of religious.
If seeing is believing, we can imagine that these Grecians who came to Philip were hoping for more than a glimpse of a celebrity. They were hoping for more than an autograph. They not only wanted to see Jesus, they wanted to believe.
We are willing. Our desire includes the understanding that this encounter is going to change us in some way, and we are willing to take the risk.
We are willing to be perceiving. We want more than the opportunity to lay eyes on Jesus. We want to perceive him, to know him, to understand him, to recognize him as the Son of God. And we realize this isn’t a one-time-and-we’re-done sort of thing. It’s an ongoing relationship. We are willing to be perceiving Jesus now and indefinitely into the future. Mister Philip, sir, we want more than a backstage pass. We are willing to know Jesus personally, whatever that means.

The Greeks approach Philip, and he goes to Andrew, and together they go to Jesus. Why do the Greeks go to Philip first, and then why does Philip go to Andrew? Their hometown was Bethsaida, a place that had a history of sometimes being Jewish and sometimes being Gentile. Philip and Andrew both have Greek-sounding names, so that might have something to do with it. It’s possible that these Gentiles came to Philip first simply because they were more comfortable approaching someone who seemed a little bit more like them.

So it’s no wonder that these Greek worshipers approach the disciples who look and sound most like them, when they try to get an audience with Jesus. But the very fact that Gentiles are looking for Jesus is a signal, and Jesus recognizes his cue.
We do not know the motivation of the Greeks who wanted to see Jesus. I like to think that they were great thinkers. I imagine them as heirs to the Greek culture. After pondering the great questions of life and speculating with Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, they realized there was a serious gap in their life, so they sought out the great rabbi from Nazareth.

lists many people who sought Jesus, but they already had an image of God in their minds. The Greeks seem to be the most open-minded. The others sought Jesus, not to discover Christ, but to reinforce their own image of God. As we seek to know more and to see Him in our daily activities may He show Himself to us as a great one in Jesus name. Amen

PRAYER POINT
Heavenly father I thank you for the grace of another new week and new day to seek and to know more about God may you show yourself greatly to me and let me always desire to know you more daily. grace to be tasting for your will for the rest of my life in Jesus name.

God I pray let me experience your grace, favour and mercy in this new week in Jesus name. Amen

TOPIC: IS YOUR OIL STILL ACTIVE?

TEXTUAL SOURCE: 1 Samuel 10:1-6
Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance?
When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel's sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son?
Then shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Beth-el, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine:
And they will salute thee, and give thee two loaves of bread; which thou shalt receive of their hands.
After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy:
And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.

MEMORIZE: Psalms 92:1
But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

The inspired psalmist was aware of the need for and the blessing of an impartation of fresh oil.Oil is a frequent symbol in Scripture of the Holy Spirit. For example, kings in Israel were anointed with oil, signifying God’s call upon them into the kingship and the empowerment for that office by the Holy Spirit. 1 Samuel 16:13 says of the future king David: “Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David.” King Saul was similarly anointed with oil as a symbol of God’s Spirit coming upon Him, but he misuse it.“Then Samuel took a flask of olive oil and poured it on Saul’s head and kissed him, saying, “Has not the Lord anointed you ruler over his inheritance? … “The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you…” (1 Samuel 10:1,6).

Yet despite the powerful Holy Ghost anointing upon these two kings of Israel, both of them subsequently sinned grievously and failed the Lord. The trajectory of King Saul’s life went steadily downward, even to the point where he consulted a spiritist medium! (1 Samuel 28:3-8). And King David planned a murder and committed adultery (2 Samuel, chapter 11).
When your oil is not more active you misbehave.

Our point is this: even the most powerful Holy Spirit anointing upon us in time past will not necessarily keep us on God’s straight and narrow path today, both personally and ministry-wise … unless we keep that ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT STIRRED UP as “fresh oil” in our lives on a daily basis. As some have said, yesterday’s anointing is not necessarily sufficient for today. We need a stirred-up, fresh anointing daily.
Luke 4:18 The SPIRIT of The Lord is on me [Jesus], because He has ANOINTED me…
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. Acts 20:38

Jesus, the incarnate Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit in the womb of the virgin Mary (Matthew 1:20-21). But He also needed a Holy Spirit anointing —which came upon Him 30 years later — to do all that God had called Him to do (see Luke 3:21-23). An interesting pattern for us can be seen in the life of Jesus. As we have seen in coming from heaven to earth, Jesus was conceived in Mary’s womb by the Holy Spirit. Similarly in our case by repentance and faith in Christ (Acts 20:21)we can be born of the Holy Spirit, that is, spiritually Born again(John 3:3-6). Let’s take this a step further. Jesus had the Holy Spirit in His life from His very conception. But He did not do His first miracle, at the wedding feast of Cana, until after His anointing (not His conception) by the Holy Spirit. John 2:11 says, “This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.” Likewise for us, the "unction" of the Spirit, kept fresh and stirred up in us, will open the door for life and ministry in the Pentecostal power of the Holy Spirit, including the supernatural spiritual gifts.

All the four Gospels record how Jesus kept the anointing from God by the Spirit STIRRED up daily as “fresh oil” by His dedication to prayer and time spent in ongoing fellowship with God His Father. How much more must we need to be daily in God’s Word, in prayer, in worship, and in fellowship with the Lord to maintain a current, fresh anointing of God in our lives. Each of us has a decision to make: would we do that? Or will be just be content with the false hope that yesterday’s anointing will carry us forward without seeking a "fresh-oil" and make it active?

1 John 2:20 But you have an anointing from the holy one
Jesus Christ was anointed by the Holy Spirit. The kings, priests, and prophets of the Old Testament were anointed with oil, typifying the Holy Ghost's empowerment of them for their ministries. Nowadays, on this side of the cross of Christ the Spirit’s anointing is available to all born again believers through the baptism with the Holy spirit. God has anointed us, the apostle Paul wrote. John wrote similar words of encouragement.Acts 1:5,8 “…in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit … you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…to the ends of the earth.”

And after His resurrection from the grave, Jesus appeared to His disciples and “breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit’.” (John 20:22). This is commonly understood to have been their new birth by the Spirit. This fulfilled Jesus' promise to them before His death that the Holy Spirit "dwells with you and will be in you" (John 14:17, NKJV). Later, immediately before He ascended back to heaven (Acts 1:4-9), Jesus promised that a few days later they would be baptized with the Holy Spirit and would receive power from that holy spirit anointing to accomplish their God-given ministries. Jesus made a clear distinction between their birth by the Spirit (John 20:22)
As we have seen, kings such as David and Saul were anointed with oil, the Spirit came upon them, and they received the Holy Ghost power they needed for their God-given tasks, you really need to keep your oil active. Jesus likewise was anointed with power for ministry by the Holy Ghost (Acts 10:38) “God anointed Jesus Christ, and…he went around doing good and healing…” This helps us understand Jesus’ words attributing even His ministry power to the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12:28). The same Holy Spirit anointing is the source of power for our ministries.

We can receive God’s anointing as we are filled with the Holy spirit. As He did with the early disciples, the Holy spirit will empower us. to heal the sick, to raise the dead, to cast out demons,to minister various gifts of the Holy Spirit, and more.

We must draw close to God daily. Stay in fellowship with Him in prayer, in His Word, in worship, in gathering with fellow believers. Ask God today, and each day, for a current impartation of His Holy Spirit’s wonderful “fresh oil” anointing. You’ll see your walk with God grow, rather than decline into just a backward-looking reminiscing about the “old days.”

Let your daily cry be Lord I need your fresh ANOINTING make my oil an active one.

PRAYER POINT
Awesome God we give glory to your holy name from a day like this and another grace that was bestowed upon us again may your name be praised forever in Jesus name. all our cry this morning is your make our oil an active one for your Divine us for those whom you've send us to benefit and for us not to worn-out of your grace in Jesus name. TOPIC: PAINS FOR GAINS

TEXTUAL SOURCE :Rev21:4-7
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is thirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

MEMORIZE :Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

An adage says Winners never quit and quitters never win.Everyone hates suffering,No one want to witness even an iota of hardship,No one like to endure the moment of suffering,No one want to see the moment of their pain as their next level of glory, but the fact is pain changes people,it’s not meant to make us weak it’s to make us stronger for our next level of life, our today's pain is to build us for the greatest turning around of our lives.

Some pain are meant to elevate us,some are meant to teach one lessons of life, some are meant to draw one closer to his creator(God). Pain is one of the tool to success, it's part of the device to our acheivement. No pain no gain,No pain no success,if you can't endure, you can't enjoy. When we go through pain in life it helps us to get back on the path of righteousness,it helps to know how we call on God,we lose all self-reliance and confidence and turn to the only one who can help us.

Job never denial his God at the face of his pain, Joseph, despite his difficulty from his brothers, prisoners,at Potiphar's house he never relent, Esther in a strange land she never compromise, she never looked at the pain of been an orphan and her poor uncle who was a gate keeper at the palace, seeing what was going on in the palace but never have access into the palace. All these heroes of faith never see their pains but were seeing the Gain(reward).2Cor 4:17 says, all our affliction is for a moment and are working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

Brethren,God is healing through the process of your pain and you don’t even know it(he's working behind the scene and it's outcome will be boom). It might be hard, but we must find joy in pain(Psalms 30:5b).What we need to do is we must seek Christ and always aware that he's with us(Isaiah 41:10).Whether you are in physical or emotional pain seek help and comfort from God, who is our Almighty Healer. Find encouragement from His Word and keep your mind on Him.He knows what you’re going through and He will help you.The storm doesn’t last forever,"the pain you feel today will be the strength you feel tommorow".

God never allow a pain without a purpose.

PRAYER POINT
God in heaven whose name is Jehovah we want to appreciate you for a day like this and protection, Lord forgive us our sin and cast us not away from you o Lord, father we pray you turn all our pain to gain because we've call upon your name Lord for help may you hear our voices from your holy place in Jesus name. Amen.
