TEXT: Colossians 3:17 (TPT)
TOPIC: Gratitude Challenge (Practicing thankfulness daily)

The word of God is the will of God and God relies so much on His word that He exalts His word above His name.
Many people have ruined relationships and opportunities because they have not been guided by the word.
Dancing is not gratitude but is a means of gratitude.(Luke 1:45). Gratitude comes from a posture of your heart.
Life is worth more than clothes, food and shelter but why do we pay so much attention to the things of life rather than giving thanks. (John 15:5).
God is committed to anything that is committed to Him. Whatever you withhold you will preserve yourself. (Jeremiah 33:3) Whatever is gotten from His presence can only be preserved by His presence.
(Psalms 127:1) Protection is of the Lord.
Praise produces productivity. (Jeremiah 30:19) If you praise you will not be small. You cannot praise God and be down. (Philippians 4:6)
(James 1:17)

Reasons why people are not Thankful.

1.Discontentment (Numbers 16:10).
Discontentment affects your prayer and thanksgiving. Korah was discontented about his office that he began to eye Aaron's office and that was his destruction. Why should someone's progress be the reason why you are not grateful. (Deuteronomy 1:26-27)

2. Unhealthy Comparison. Comparison is a thief of Joy. What you call delay is a lack of understanding. Age is not a determinant for success (Hebrews 12:1). When you come to church and focus, you will not see what other people are doing wrong .(Psalms 133:1)

3. Pride
The enemy of a proud man is God.
It is a conscious thing to be humble. Be grateful to God for everything. People who are proud want people around them to look small .

4. Forgetfulness. (Psalms 103:2)
(Deuteronomy 8:6-17) don't forget the things the Lord has done for you. Forgetfulness is one of the reasons why people are not grateful.

5. Wrong focus (Thessalonians 5:18).
When you look at what is not working, you will loose focus on what the Lord is doing.

Three (3) Ways to be Thankful.
1.Be thankful at all times. (Psalms100:4)
2.Be thankful for life.
3.Show kindness to people. It is more blessed to give than to receive.

TOPIC: Unveiling God's plan for your life.

Struggle is inevitable when you walk outside God's plans. As good as your plan is; it is not as good as the plan that God has for you. Stick to God's plan. Sometimes God's plan will not be convenient but it will surely benefit you. To unveil God's plan for your life. You need to partner with God and agree with Him Job 22:21, Jeremiah 1:5

Partnering with God sometimes will cause you to let go of your own ambition and embrace His purpose for your life.

How to Unveil God's purpose for your life

1. Study and Meditate on the Word of God: Acts 17:11, 1 Timothy 4:15, Joshua 1:8

God does not do anything outside His Word, if you don't know what God has said about you, your family, and your career, how then would you want to make the best of the year. Daniel 11:32 What brings fulfillment to a man's life is when he fulfills his destiny (Joshua 1:8).

2. Cultivate a lifestyle of Prayer: Colossians 4:2, 1 Timothy 2:8, 2 Timothy 1:3,
Now that you have fed on the word of God. You need to know that Satan is a word eater. The devil will always want to plant doubt and fear in your heart but you must resist him and for your prayer to be effective you must be filled with the Word of God. You must wage a good warfare with the words that you have received from God's word. Give yourself to faith-filled prayers. The Bible says the prayer of Faith not the prayer of fear.

3. Honour the anointing of God's servants. 2 Kings 4: 1-7, 8- 17.

Any anointing you disregard cannot be a blessing to you. You can't attract what you attack. Your honour must start from your heart. As you honour and reverence the anointing of God's servant; make sure that your heart is not far away. Until we begin to show honour genuinely, there are things we may not enjoy that are at work in the life of God's servant.
