Faith is our defence mechanism at all times. "Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked " Eph. 6:16. "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith". 1John 5:4. Any man or woman of faith defeats not just the natural things but also the spiritual things. James 5:15-18. And you see the Bible says that the devil cometh not but to kill, to steal and to destroy.... John 10:10. That is why he has blinded the minds of they that do not believe lest that the light of the the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them; and give them light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2Cor. 4:4,6. From this extract it becomes clear that a faithless person is a powerless person and has no defence but lives at the mercy of the devil. But I pray as Paul did in Ephesians 1:18,19 that the eyes of your I've enlighten so will know the hope of your calling and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance to all saints (our redemptive right) which is the exceeding greatness of his power to us who believes.
