THE SPIRIT OF THE AGE
Text: 2 Corinthian 4:3-6
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
My first consideration is the battle of the mind. Many years ago, while struggling with many issues like ma********on, immorality, po*******hy and lack of parental love and guidance, I stumbled into a book with the title “the Battle field of the mind” by Joyce Mayer. I became interested in the book and began to read for the first time Christian literatures. I became aware that there is a battle people go through irrespective of their age or maturity. In fact, Satan will not wait for you to come of age before he begins to assault you even if you are a child or a teenager. Interestingly I did try my best to understand the book and I labored to read the book, while I cannot categorically tell you anything about that book, I became aware as a teenager at the time that I have struggles within my vessel, struggles that no man could see or discern, the battles children, teenagers or adults face; that only that individual could describe whatever he is fighting.
I realized that in what I was going through, Satan was interested in ensuring I didn’t make the right choices; I didn’t understand that there is something that had been written about me in the archives of God. It didn’t matter what it will cost him, he had no intention of allowing me see the truth.
The battle for a soul does not begin as an adult. It began right from your conception.
” I have come in the volume of the book as it was written about me, to do your will oh God”
(Heb 10:7) Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
Jesus, Jacob and Moses are lessons for us to be educated about, what a man’s life if not void of battle. Jesus! At the word go (the angel’s word), Satan began his assault against the child conceived.
In spite of the delay with the womb of the Matriarch Rebecca, the fight for destiny ensued right from the womb with Jacob. Moses was a child Satan never wanted to be born; neither did he want Moses to live into his adulthood.
Records bear it on paper even in the old testament, in this new dispensation; the end of this age, how much do you think Satan is willing to seat down with hands folded? He will throw in his last joker. Satan will galvanize all he has got because the time is short.
Rev 12:12 therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhibiters of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
Be sober and vigilant, he walks the earth seeking for whom he may devour. However, contradictory Satan seemed to be winning the battle. I had meditated on the reason I couldn’t finish that book; Satan did all he could till I dropped the book. Today in this generation he still plays that trump.
Today averagely you see teenagers 7 out of 10 are carried away in their ways, smoking and drinking, behaving wildly and reveling, heady, boastful and proud 2 Timothy 3:1-5 says;
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
A spirit is powering this operating system. There are exposures that are common;
1.Music. 2. Movies. 3. Literary Books. 4. Social Media etc. these are the vehicles in this age to transit Men, Women Children and Teenagers to hell. Remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth, while the evils days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, “I have no pleasure in them”. Ecc. 12:1
Satan is deploying all his arsenal, more demons, more witchcraft, more software, more controls and if I may add; more AI ( ancient intelligence). Children are being possessed, initiations of individuals into darkness are most alarming, funny enough the devils aren’t using the old methods we knew.
He uses music we listen to, movies we watch, games our children play and even the toys we buy for our children. This day’s initiation needn’t happen necessarily by the companies we keep, but in the privacy of our room, on our very bed or closet, social media, children as well as adults still get entangled in their souls and get possessed.
The objective of this writing is to bring you to know that there is a battle against the god of this world. There is contention whether you like it or not. Satan will not wait for your opinion or your choice.
Be aware of these and brace up and don’t fall a victim, if you are have become a victim, know that Satan is a liar. He uses a man and dumps him at the end.
JOHN 10:10 Says;
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
He wants to take the value embedded in you, he understand that his enternity has been settles already, but he wants to carry you along neither does he want you to enjoy eternity with God.
The question is; ’How will he do this?’

WILL SATAN DO THIS?
Our Gifts and Talents
God has not left any man without an innate ability; every living person has been born with a gift, an ability or talent. Whether you are aware or not, it does not elude the fact that you came full of something.
Mat 25:14-18 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
We could think that what my focus is; it’s physical? Far from it. Am not talking about the physical abilities alone, what I am talking about goes beyond your skills and talents, it is the whole concernment of spiritual grace and abilities, all that God had fashion and worked into you my dear friend.
Am talking about what eyes have not seen, nor ear heard, the things that the Lord has kept for you in him.
1Co 2:9-12 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Eph 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
There is a popular proverb; “When the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable”, I have said this to make you aware; if you don’t come into knowledge of what deposits heaven had put inside, Satan will abuse it, he will control it and make all the profit from your vessel.
Take singing ability, Satan’s primary duty is worship God, if you have this ability or let me call it grace, God has given you a capacity to bring worship to his Glory and honor. But guess what? The Devil has taken hold of many with this ability to bring darkness into the earth. Through Music many could be initiated into witchcraft and darkness. Music is a doorway to the soul whether gospel or not, all kinds of music are spiritual. All kinds of music are vehicles that will carry you to an altar or spiritual portal. If you are not carried to God, you are carried to Satan, or into darkness. It’s either a godly music or satanic music, it is either a gospel music or a devilish music, there is nothing like secular music or worldly music.
A Sound can be a vehicle that carries you to a destination; it is either to a right direction or wrong direction. If music does not bring you to worship God, then the destination will be before Satan to worship him, you can’t be between, its either God or Satan.
Have you thought of why you listen to some songs or music and the things that fills your heart is how you can sleep with a man or woman? Its not a mistake neither was it a random occurrence, spirit behind the songs aided that thought pattern. I already stated that any kind of music is a vehicle; spiritually the door to your soul transported you to somewhere, or something was transported to your soul.
Hence, when you listen to satanic sounds, demons gains access to your soul, and if Godly songs, then the Holy spirit gains an access to your soul, no matter what kind of music, you just participated in a spiritual procession whether positive or negative. That explains why many young people are initiated or possessed by a spirit after a concert and the result is young people leave a concert and they commit su***de or become depressed. This is because they subjected their spirit to a demonic influence.
You know the youths never pays attention to what they listen to, they never take serious the matter of what they feed themselves with and do not care the source of the music they listen to. I want to say any musician who has not surrendered to Jesus is influenced by a spirit. Some are aware and conscious about it, some are not aware. Some musicians deliberately sell or submit their souls to these spirits, while others may not have consciously done this, but because they are doing music they become vulnerable to a kind of influence.
Satan wants to pervert what God has domiciled in you; he desires to corrupt your gifts either physical or spiritual. He wants to suck your juice dry until you are empty or useless, then he will dump you. It is nature to steal, kill and destroy, that is a job description he is known of.
Spiritual Gifts
Scripture says;
2Pe 1:3-4 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
God has given us all things that pertains to godliness, spiritual blessings and abilities. If you don’t allow the Holy Ghost to control these spiritual deposits, gifts and abilities; satan will corrupt what God has given you to be a blessing to becoming a merchant, Jesus speaking in Mark 11:15-17;
And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple. And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
Satan corrupts what pure and make it a mess. What will he do to you? The answers: he makes you a drunk, a cultist, a fornicator, a fraudster and yahoo yahoo. He can reduce you to a witch, Wizard, dogs, cats and owls, not in the physical sense but in a spiritual sense.
Antidote to The god of The Age
1.Surrender your life to Jesus.
Jesus must become your Lord, this means repentance, confessing and turning away from the life of sin, and by implication saying no to the power of this age. In this life whether you like it or not you can be under Satan’s control or say ”no”; I will rather be influenced by Jesus.
Romans 10: 9-10
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Bible said in John 10:9
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
Your only way of escape from being influenced or being controlled by the power of the age is by surrendering your precious life to Jesus and he becomes your Lord and Savior
The way out from being influenced by the things Satan has designed to bring men under captivity is total submission. Until you come under the Lord of Heaven, you can’t escape being a captive of sin.
2. Carry the Holy Ghost
Be under the Government of the Holy Ghost. Being under a government is being under the influence of the Holy Ghost. I have said it before; a man must be under an influence, either good or bad, positive or negative, righteousness or unrighteousness, influenced by Satan or God.
God desires to influence every man however; he is gentle and meek and will not force anyone. God stretches his hands to us, but it will be your choice to be under his control. The Holy Ghost will make his influence over anyone that is hungry and willing. The most interesting part is, He will make life better to deal with in every aspect of your expectation.
He wants to carry you to your destiny, he seek that you will fulfill all God’s divine plan for your life. He wants you to fulfill God’s purpose for your life.
The person of the Holy Ghost wants to see you and I to become an instrument in the hand of God. God has made deposits in everyone and he wants to profit from it. Being under him is being under his government. It means you must as a matter of necessity depend on him. The Holy Ghost Loves you and Loves me and wants the best from us. He is passionate about fulfill our mandate and to fulfill his will.
Jeremiah 29:11-14 says;
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.
If you really want to fulfill your purpose, then subscribe to his government, he wants to lead you in his own term and not your own term.
3. Be full with the word of God (Knowledge)
In the Hosea 4:6, scripture says
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Many things the believer whether young or old is suffering is because of deficiency in the knowledge of the word of God, the promises of God and what God had spoken concerning them. We show a lack in interest of God’s word, we are largely bankrupt in the knowledge of God’s word concerning life especially concerning our life.
Many battles we lose is not as a result of God’s inability to safe, but majorly because we lack the knowledge of what he said concerning that condition you are going through. God is all powerful but he also is a God of principles. There are battles a young man goes through and the response or his deliverance lies in the word of God and because he had not come to its knowledge, Satan takes advantage of his bankruptcy and holds him in bo***ge longer than expected. How bit when he has come into the knowledge, the battle fades away because he had discovered what God has said concerning his condition.
Hebrews 4: 6 says
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
When knowledge is insufficient, Satan thrives in your ignorance, but when you are aware of God’s word or promises, Satan is put in his place.
4. Encounter with the Light of God
The word encounter means to have a personal experience with the light of God; that is, the word of God. Experiential knowledge is to have encounter with God’s light which is the life of God. In the word of God, John chapter one;
John 1:1-14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Knowledge alone is insufficient, it puffs up and it killeth, as much as I will not say you don’t need knowledge, it’s your encounter with the light of God’s word that makes the knowledge you have a powerful instrument of war. Haven to be full of God’s knowledge; a step into an encounter with the living word which is the light of God, makes you a formidable Christian and not just knowledgeable believer.
No matter how dark the darkness, no matter what Satan has put in place, an encounter with the light brings deliverance to any man. Satan is wicked any day anytime, having encounter with the light of God brings any one in victory with God.
He brings illumination to what is hidden, he bring light to any unknown situation, he give us an edge above Satan and brings a power dimension to the child of God that has the Holy Ghost and knowledge of God’s word. That light makes us invisible. Not that the devil does not exist but we have total victory in Christ.
When the Lord shines his light darkness cannot comprehend this light, encounter with the Lord makes him visible in your situation. He brings revelation of anything and he lights your path to walk according to his will.
5. You become his vessel
One of the many thing that happens to a man that has encounter is; he becomes useful in the Lords hands. When you come into encounter with the light you become a channel, you become his vessel and his battle ask. One of the things the Lord told Jeremiah in Jeremiah chapter one is;
Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant”.
A man who has an encounter with God is man who comes to the reality of everything the Lord had bestowed on him. Your grace is no longer obscured. You become a weapon that the Lord is ready to deploy. You don’t only maximize physical abilities, but also your spiritual abilities become visible, the entirety of your personality become useful to God.
When you encounter God genuinely, you don’t only enjoy the visibility of the beauty of the light, God will leave something in you and that is what makes you an instrument. Jeremiah’s encounter was only new to him, whereas God knew him even before was conceived, and God ordained him as a prophet before he was born. The encounter God brought to Jeremiah was only new to him but not to God, God had known him from eternity past till present and he had been assigned from the archives of God to be a judge to nations.
The capacity in Jeremiah was known or visible until he met with the God of light that announced what had been bestowed. Jeremiah wouldn’t have know what he was made of or for until the light with the Lord shown. From that day Jeremiah knew that in his mouth was the word of God, in his vessel, there was ability to declare Judgment and to communicate the heart of God as a Prophet.
No man will have communion with God and not be useful to God. God will certainly deploy you to his purpose and a mandate. One thing every young man must strive for is never to be satisfied with the first layer of surrendering to the Lord, there must be desire to meet number two, that is, the Holy Ghost must be your government and your operating system.
Don’t stop at that point, get filled, be full of the knowledge of God, and seek encounter with the Light, “the Letter killeth”. It’s when you have gotten encounter then God can begin to use you as a vessel.
6.Lead the Life of Prayer
The last aspect that can immune you against the god of this age is to lead the life of Prayer. I could have started this writing with “prayer as the ultimate weapon against the god of this age”, but that wouldn’t have been the whole truth. Prayer is important, but just praying without surrendering is not going to be different from all other religion, it is by prayer that the Holy Ghost become your Principal, but even if the Holy Spirit come, you could still be lead into error because of ignorance.
Satan always thrive when a believer lack knowledge. However knowledge without encounter is kwashiorkor.
In John 6:63; “it is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”
It is the lifestyle of prayer that can steer all the above points stated before. Prayer changes things. Pray until something happens. When you mix prayer with fasting and hunger for God, you are simply setting the stage for God to do more things with you and for you.
Jeremiah 33:2-3 Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name; Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
You want to see your life become something, you must not relegate prayer to the last resort. Don’t ignore prayer. In fact, Satan will lunch attack when he notices you are taking prayer seriously. He will throw in every instrument to make you stop. This is because if you are persistent and consistent then his influence will not affect your life like how he influences other people.
I conclude this way, my burden is to the youth that the devil has gained control and jurisdiction over. Many young children and teenagers whom a bound by satan. Today I bring you the word of deliverance, my prayer is you will read and take serious every point that has been stated, and if this writing has scored a chord and you will want to start with number one; Surrendering to the Lord; please prayer with me
Lord Jesus, I come and I acknowledge you as my savior
Have mercy on me and on my trespasses, forgive me all
my sins and rebellion, wash me from all iniquities.
Write my name in the book of life and erase my name
From the book of death. Satan I denounce, renounce
and reject you. Send me your Holy Ghost to lead me.
Thank for answered prayers in Jesus name. (Amen)

But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
We could think that what my focus is; it’s physical? Far from it. Am not talking about the physical abilities alone, what I am talking about goes beyond your skills and talents, it is the whole concernment of spiritual grace and abilities, all that God had fashion and worked into you my dear friend.
Am talking about what eyes have not seen, nor ear heard, the things that the Lord has kept for you in him.
1Co 2:9-12 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Eph 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
There is a popular proverb; “When the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable”, I have said this to make you aware; if you don’t come into knowledge of what deposits heaven had put inside, Satan will abuse it, he will control it and make all the profit from your vessel.
Take singing ability, Satan’s primary duty is worship God, if you have this ability or let me call it grace, God has given you a capacity to bring worship to his Glory and honor. But guess what? The Devil has taken hold of many with this ability to bring darkness into the earth. Through Music many could be initiated into witchcraft and darkness. Music is a doorway to the soul whether gospel or not, all kinds of music are spiritual. All kinds of music are vehicles that will carry you to an altar or spiritual portal. If you are not carried to God, you are carried to Satan, or into darkness. It’s either a godly music or satanic music, it is either a gospel music or a devilish music, there is nothing like secular music or worldly music.
A Sound can be a vehicle that carries you to a destination; it is either to a right direction or wrong direction. If music does not bring you to worship God, then the destination will be before Satan to worship him, you can’t be between, its either God or Satan.
Have you thought of why you listen to some songs or music and the things that fills your heart is how you can sleep with a man or woman? Its not a mistake neither was it a random occurrence, spirit behind the songs aided that thought pattern. I already stated that any kind of music is a vehicle; spiritually the door to your soul transported you to somewhere, or something was transported to your soul.
Hence, when you listen to satanic sounds, demons gains access to your soul, and if Godly songs, then the Holy spirit gains an access to your soul, no matter what kind of music, you just participated in a spiritual procession whether positive or negative. That explains why many young people are initiated or possessed by a spirit after a concert and the result is young people leave a concert and they commit su***de or become depressed. This is because they subjected their spirit to a demonic influence.
You know the youths never pays attention to what they listen to, they never take serious the matter of what they feed themselves with and do not care the source of the music they listen to. I want to say any musician who has not surrendered to Jesus is influenced by a spirit. Some are aware and conscious about it, some are not aware. Some musicians deliberately sell or submit their souls to these spirits, while others may not have consciously done this, but because they are doing music they become vulnerable to a kind of influence.
Satan wants to pervert what God has domiciled in you; he desires to corrupt your gifts either physical or spiritual. He wants to suck your juice dry until you are empty or useless, then he will dump you. It is nature to steal, kill and destroy, that is a job description he is known of.
Spiritual Gifts
Scripture says;
2Pe 1:3-4 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
God has given us all things that pertains to godliness, spiritual blessings and abilities. If you don’t allow the Holy Ghost to control these spiritual deposits, gifts and abilities; satan will corrupt what God has given you to be a blessing to becoming a merchant, Jesus speaking in Mark 11:15-17;
And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple. And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
Satan corrupts what pure and make it a mess. What will he do to you? The answers: he makes you a drunk, a cultist, a fornicator, a fraudster and yahoo yahoo. He can reduce you to a witch, Wizard, dogs, cats and owls, not in the physical sense but in a spiritual sense.
Antidote to The god of The Age
1.Surrender your life to Jesus.
Jesus must become your Lord, this means repentance, confessing and turning away from the life of sin, and by implication saying no to the power of this age. In this life whether you like it or not you can be under Satan’s control or say ”no”; I will rather be influenced by Jesus.
Romans 10: 9-10
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Bible said in John 10:9
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
Your only way of escape from being influenced or being controlled by the power of the age is by surrendering your precious life to Jesus and he becomes your Lord and Savior
The way out from being influenced by the things Satan has designed to bring men under captivity is total submission. Until you come under the Lord of Heaven, you can’t escape being a captive of sin.
2.Carry the Holy Ghost
Be under the Government of the Holy Ghost. Being under a government is being under the influence of the Holy Ghost. I have said it before; a man must be under an influence, either good or bad, positive or negative, righteousness or unrighteousness, influenced by Satan or God.
God desires to influence every man however; he is gentle and meek and will not force anyone. God stretches his hands to us, but it will be your choice to be under his control. The Holy Ghost will make his influence over anyone that is hungry and willing. The most interesting part is, He will make life better to deal with in every aspect of your expectation.
He wants to carry you to your destiny, he seek that you will fulfill all God’s divine plan for your life. He wants you to fulfill God’s purpose for your life.
The person of the Holy Ghost wants to see you and I to become an instrument in the hand of God. God has made deposits in everyone and he wants to profit from it. Being under him is being under his government. It means you must as a matter of necessity depend on him. The Holy Ghost Loves you and Loves me and wants the best from us. He is passionate about fulfill our mandate and to fulfill his will.
Jeremiah 29:11-14 says;
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.
If you really want to fulfill your purpose, then subscribe to his government, he wants to lead you in his own term and not your own term.
3.Be full with the word of God (Knowledge)
In the Hosea 4:6, scripture says
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Many things the believer whether young or old is suffering is because of deficiency in the knowledge of the word of God, the promises of God and what God had spoken concerning them. We show a lack in interest of God’s word, we are largely bankrupt in the knowledge of God’s word concerning life especially concerning our life.
Many battles we lose is not as a result of God’s inability to safe, but majorly because we lack the knowledge of what he said concerning that condition you are going through. God is all powerful but he also is a God of principles. There are battles a young man goes through and the response or his deliverance lies in the word of God and because he had not come to its knowledge, Satan takes advantage of his bankruptcy and holds him in bo***ge longer than expected. How bit when he has come into the knowledge, the battle fades away because he had discovered what God has said concerning his condition.
Hebrews 4: 6 says
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
When knowledge is insufficient, Satan thrives in your ignorance, but when you are aware of God’s word or promises, Satan is put in his place.
4.Encounter with the Light of God
The word encounter means to have a personal experience with the light of God; that is, the word of God. Experiential knowledge is to have encounter with God’s light which is the life of God. In the word of God, John chapter one;
John 1:1-14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Knowledge alone is insufficient, it puffs up and it killeth, as much as I will not say you don’t need knowledge, it’s your encounter with the light of God’s word that makes the knowledge you have a powerful instrument of war. Haven to be full of God’s knowledge; a step into an encounter with the living word which is the light of God, makes you a formidable Christian and not just knowledgeable believer.
No matter how dark the darkness, no matter what Satan has put in place, an encounter with the light brings deliverance to any man. Satan is wicked any day anytime, having encounter with the light of God brings any one in victory with God.
He brings illumination to what is hidden, he bring light to any unknown situation, he give us an edge above Satan and brings a power dimension to the child of God that has the Holy Ghost and knowledge of God’s word. That light makes us invisible. Not that the devil does not exist but we have total victory in Christ.
When the Lord shines his light darkness cannot comprehend this light, encounter with the Lord makes him visible in your situation. He brings revelation of anything and he lights your path to walk according to his will.
5.You become his vessel
One of the many thing that happens to a man that has encounter is; he becomes useful in the Lords hands. When you come into encounter with the light you become a channel, you become his vessel and his battle ask. One of the things the Lord told Jeremiah in Jeremiah chapter one is;
Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant”.
A man who has an encounter with God is man who comes to the reality of everything the Lord had bestowed on him. Your grace is no longer obscured. You become a weapon that the Lord is ready to deploy. You don’t only maximize physical abilities, but also your spiritual abilities become visible, the entirety of your personality become useful to God.
When you encounter God genuinely, you don’t only enjoy the visibility of the beauty of the light, God will leave something in you and that is what makes you an instrument. Jeremiah’s encounter was only new to him, whereas God knew him even before was conceived, and God ordained him as a prophet before he was born. The encounter God brought to Jeremiah was only new to him but not to God, God had known him from eternity past till present and he had been assigned from the archives of God to be a judge to nations.
The capacity in Jeremiah was known or visible until he met with the God of light that announced what had been bestowed. Jeremiah wouldn’t have know what he was made of or for until the light with the Lord shown. From that day Jeremiah knew that in his mouth was the word of God, in his vessel, there was ability to declare Judgment and to communicate the heart of God as a Prophet.
No man will have communion with God and not be useful to God. God will certainly deploy you to his purpose and a mandate. One thing every young man must strive for is never to be satisfied with the first layer of surrendering to the Lord, there must be desire to meet number two, that is, the Holy Ghost must be your government and your operating system.
Don’t stop at that point, get filled, be full of the knowledge of God, and seek encounter with the Light, “the Letter killeth”. It’s when you have gotten encounter then God can begin to use you as a vessel.
6.Lead the Life of Prayer
The last aspect that can immune you against the god of this age is to lead the life of Prayer. I could have started this writing with “prayer as the ultimate weapon against the god of this age”, but that wouldn’t have been the whole truth. Prayer is important, but just praying without surrendering is not going to be different from all other religion, it is by prayer that the Holy Ghost become your Principal, but even if the Holy Spirit come, you could still be lead into error because of ignorance.
Satan always thrive when a believer lack knowledge. However knowledge without encounter is kwashiorkor.
In John 6:63; “it is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”
It is the lifestyle of prayer that can steer all the above points stated before. Prayer changes things. Pray until something happens. When you mix prayer with fasting and hunger for God, you are simply setting the stage for God to do more things with you and for you.
Jeremiah 33:2-3 Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name; Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
You want to see your life become something, you must not relegate prayer to the last resort. Don’t ignore prayer. In fact, Satan will lunch attack when he notices you are taking prayer seriously. He will throw in every instrument to make you stop. This is because if you are persistent and consistent then his influence will not affect your life like how he influences other people.
I conclude this way, my burden is to the youth that the devil has gained control and jurisdiction over. Many young children and teenagers whom a bound by satan. Today I bring you the word of deliverance, my prayer is you will read and take serious every point that has been stated, and if this writing has scored a chord and you will want to start with number one; Surrendering to the Lord; please prayer with me
Lord Jesus, I come and I acknowledge you as my savior
Have mercy on me and on my trespasses, forgive me all
my sins and rebellion, wash me from all iniquities.
Write my name in the book of life and erase my name
From the book of death. Satan I denounce, renounce
and reject you. Send me your Holy Ghost to lead me.
Thank for answered prayers in Jesus name. (Amen)
