In advance of the upcoming general conference leadership session (April 2, 2026), The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced upcoming adjustments to the Sunday class meeting schedule to support members in their efforts to be lifelong disciples of Jesus christ. The adjustments will strengthen gospel learning in homes and congregations throughout the world.
Beginning September 6, 2026, the alternating weekly schedule for Sunday School and quorum or class meetings will be replaced. Under the updated schedule:
β€’ Sunday School, Relief Society, elders quorum, Young Women and Aaronic Priesthood quorum meetings will be held each week.
β€’ Sacrament meeting will continue to be 60 minutes, followed by brief transition periods.
β€’ Sunday School and quorum and class meetings will each be 25 minutes.
β€’ Primary will continue every Sunday and will be 55 minutes, held while adults and youth attend their respective classes.
β€’ Where local circumstances necessitate, units may begin with Primary and quorum and class meetings and conclude with sacrament meeting.

Remember Him Through the Sacrament

Each week, we are given a sacred opportunity to pause, reflect, and renew our covenants through the sacrament. In a busy world, this simple ordinance becomes a powerful moment of peaceβ€”where hearts are softened and spirits are strengthened.

β€œThis do in remembrance of me.” β€” Bible (Luke 22:19)

As we partake of the bread and water, we remember the Savior’s infinite love, His sacrifice, and His grace. It is not about perfection, but about willingnessβ€”willingness to follow Him, to repent, and to try again.

No matter what the past week has held, the sacrament offers a fresh start. A quiet renewal. A sacred promise that we can always return to Him.

Come with a humble heart. Leave with renewed strength.
