CHRISTIAN AND THE WORLD:2Tim.3vs1-5,JOHN2vs5-17. In the last series, we briefly talk about "who is a Christian" now we shall consider on the theme: THE WORLD. In geography, The world,may be defined, as the scientific study of the earth surface, physical features divisions, population etc. Geographers, may defined the world as the earth with all it's country, people and natural features. Hence the world is defined as a way of life where possession and physical pleasure s are important rather than spiritual value.It is also Human existence. In 2Tim.3vs2-5, Defined The world in this: " For men shall be lover's of themselves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemer, disobedience to parents, unthankful, unholy, without Natural Affection, true breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitor s heady, high-minded, lover's of pleasures more than God, Having a form godliness, but denying the power of there of.From such, turn away, read also 1John2 vs 15-17. Some people think that worldliness is limited to eternal behavior:-The people we associates with.2 The place We go.3 The activities we enjoy. Wordiness is also internal because it begins in the heart and is characterized by the following attitude:-1 The craving of sinful man.:- preoccupation with gratifying physical desires.2 the lust of His Eyes:- craving and accumulating things, bowing to the god of materialism.3 Boasting of what He Has And Does:- Obsession with one's status or importance, when the serpent tempted Eve, Gen.3 vs6, also when the devil tempted Jesus Matthew 4 vs1-11. By contrast:- GOD VALUES: God is not interested in religious pages tries and ceremonies, What the Almighty God,is concerned about, is LIFE. for a christian, life divides into two main areas:- contact with other s in the world,(family, friends, neighbors, and so on. 2 Contact with others in the church,ln HEB 13 vs 1-6, the writer Begins by Focusing attention on how christian should relate to the world.
