*WEโVE GOT SOMETHING BETTER*
Sunday, 4th October 2026
*โBut they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. ..Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)*โ
When you read about the men and women of faith in the Old Testament, itโs impossible not to be inspired by their extraordinary feats of faith and experiences with God. Take Caleb, for example. He declared at eighty-five years of age, โAs yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me...โ (Joshua 14:11).
Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he departed this world, yet the Bible says, โ...his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abatedโ (Deuteronomy 34:7). These were remarkable manifestations of Godโs power under the Old Covenant. But as wonderful as those accounts are, we have something better. We have the Holy Spirit living in us.
We have eternal life at work in us. We have the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus operating in every fibre of our being. This is the consciousness with which youโre to live. Refuse to evaluate yourself on the basis of natural circumstances, age or human limitations. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11). He rejuvenates and vitalises your body.
Donโt adopt or accept the worldโs opinion and expectation that as you grow in years, thereโs sure to be a decline in your strength, health and vigour. No! In Christ, we have agelessness. Youโre forever in health, in shape and in vitality because you have the life and nature of God.
Eternal life is at work in every fibre of your being. The law of the Spirit of life is working in your bones, your tendons, your ligaments, and every cell and organ of your body. Affirm these truths about your life and walk in the consciousness of the divine life in you. Your strength is continually renewed by the Holy Spirit in you, enabling you to run and not be weary, to walk and not faint. Thatโs your present-hour reality in Christ.
*PRAYER*
*Dear Father, thank you for the life of Christ that is at work in me. I live by the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, and I walk in the consciousness of your divine life in every fibre of my being. My strength is renewed continually, and I function in health, vitality, strength and excellence by the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in me, in Jesusโ Name. Amen.*
*FURTHER STUDY*
*Romans 8:10-11 (KJV)*
10.And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11.But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
*2 Corinthians 3:7-11 (NIV)*
7 Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was,
8 will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?
9 If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness!
10 For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory.
11 And if what was transitory came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts
*Hebrews 8:6 (KJV)*
6.But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
