TOPE ALABI'S PROFILE
Patricia Temitope Alabi, popularly known as Tope Alabi, is a renowned Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and actress from Yewa, Ogun State, born on October 27, 1970. A Mass Communication graduate from The Polytechnic, Ibadan, she began her career in acting and became one of Nigeria’s most sought-after voices in Yoruba movie soundtracks, producing over 1,000 signature tunes.
In 2000, she answered a divine call into gospel music with her debut album, "Oore Ti O Common", which brought her into limelight. Since then, she has released multiple hit albums including; Certificate, Agbara Olorun, Kokoro Igbala, Alagbara, Yes and Amen, and her latest, Oluwa Ni. She also made history by producing the first compendium of original hymns in this generation.
Known for her spontaneous worship style, Tope Alabi has collaborated with notable artists, including Ty Bello on The Spirit of Light, featuring the globally acclaimed song "Logan Ti O De". Alongside her husband, Soji Alabi, she runs the Mardebra Comforter Foundation for the less privileged, the Gospel Vibes music label, and also hosts an annual program tagged "Praise the Almighty Concert" in Lagos.
