Day 2.

Text: Ephesians 4
The last day church is the reconciliation of all things and this requires the whole counsel of God.
One ministry gift cannot perfect a church, hence why God designed the Church to be built on a five-fold ministry.
Christ is coming for a Church without spot or wrinkle and for the perfection of the church you need the five folds ministry (Teacher, Pastors, Apostles, Evangelist and Prophets).
There are three major segments & phases in prophecies and we need to study to understand these 3 sections or phases.
The first prophecy is the first advent, The coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We have to get the world to receive redemption through the finished work of Christ and then prepare them for the coming advent(The day of the Lord)
Breakdown of the Prophecies;
The First Coming - There are over 350 prophecies about the first coming of Jesus and all of them have been fulfilled.
The Church - The church is not an afterthought, it is what is standing between the first and the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Second Coming - The new generation has to be equipped to finish the work the fathers have started. The pentecostal movement has ended, we are now in the Kingdom age.
Britain and Europe heralded the Evangelical movement(Gospel of Salvation).
America heralded the Pentecostal movement
Africa is heralding the Kingdom age.
IGNORANCE OF PROPHECIES MAKES YOU VICTIMS OF THE TIMES. You are not a Prophet if you don't speak about Jesus.
God is not just working inside of the church He is also working in the nations and world at large.
The mistakes people made then(not being aware of the first coming of Christ), are the same ones being made now about His Second coming.
We are to build arks in preparation for the coming flood.
Luke 24:44;
Jesus came and fulfilled all of the prophecies written about him from his birth to his resurrection.
Daniel 7:13 - This shows one of the prophecies written about Christ being fulfilled when He first came to earth and it also the role of the church in this age.
Preaching the kingdom of God is the work of the church in this time and age.
The first thing prophesied after the resurrection and ascension of Jesus is the coming of the Holy Spirit (Joel 2:28, Luke 24:49).
From the moment Christ sat down at God's right hand, the unfolding of that time till his second coming began.
Act 3:19 - 21 - Christ is to remain in Heaven until the final restoration of all things has been done here on earth by men(restoring all things back to God).
To understand the book of Revelation you need to study the Book of Daniel alongside Matthew 24 and Luke 21. This would give you a better understanding of the endtime.
THE SEALS (Rev 6, Matt 24);
First Seal - White Horse (Deception/Seducing Spirits) Study the word of God so that you are not deceived by any man
Second Seal
- Red Horse (Conflict, Crisis and Wars) This is the horse that causes the wars and violence here on earth.
Third Seal - Black Horse (Famine/Economic Stagnation) There would be recession, depression and other economic problems.
Fourth Seal - Pale Horse (Death) To kill 1/4th part of the earth with Plagues (pestilences, diseases), viruses and wild beast of the earth.
Fifth Seal - Martyrs of the Gospel (Persecution) Persecution is allowed for prophecy to be fulfill Christians would be persecuted for preaching the gospel.
THINGS CHRISTIANS NEED TO PREPARE FOR;
Persecution - Every chrsitian should be ready for the persecution
Martyrdom - Many shall be killed
Hatred - People would hate you for no reason just because you are a believer
Great Falling Away - Betrayals in the church among Brethren
False Ministries - A lot of false prophets will rise and believers need to be prepared on how to detect them.
Increase in Iniquity - Sin would be on the increase and this could affect the love for God in the lives of believers.
But amidst all, God has a parallel program running alongside the End-time program, and the Church age program. Therefore, study prophecy and prophetic strategies as escape routes.
*If you want to study the Book of Revelation, study it with the book of Daniel, and use Matthew 24 & Luke 21, as a bridge to connect all dots.
THREE LANDMARKS USED TO SEGMENT THE END TIME EVENTS;
- Opening of the seals (this would cover certain number of years).
- The Seven Trumpets (a new set of event would be opened to cover certain number of years)
If you're a preacher and can't talk about the second coming of Christ, you are nothing but an entertainer.
