YOUR PERSONAL CONVICTION ABOUT THE PERSON OF JESUS AS A CHRISTIAN.
We are in a word where there's a serious battle between the truth and falsehood. A battle between light and darkness.
This is owing to the fact that falsehood has been sugar coated and interpreted to look like the truth. And for this reason, many have even left the truth they are upholding to grasp falsehood.
So therefore, beyond general creed of your church as a Christian, you must come to a point of personal, immoveable conviction of whom you have believed and follows.
It's this your personal conviction, perception and definition of who Jesus Christ is that will help you stand strong amidst every confusion, distraction and philosophy of men flying here and there.
Many have left the faith because they couldn't defend nor define what they really believe.
But we must be like Paul the apostle, who built this solid conviction about Jesus. According to Him, in Col1:13-15
He said that Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
This is his personal conviction and He believes it without any doubt. And for you to understand the level of His conviction about what He believes and teaches, he said even if an angel comes down from heaven and preach a contrary message, that we should not listen to them.
