WHAT DO YOU KNOW LEADERSHIP TO BE?
On Friday, the Catholic Students of UNN gathered once again for a very relevant discussion on LEADERSHIP AND SERVICE
Leadership is the ability to take people from where they are to where God wants them to be. It is the ability to influence people through thoughts positively and negatively.
People can be leaders without holding positions.
Leaders don’t just create followers; they create other leaders.
One of the proofs that you are a leader is that in your absence others can take over.
SERVICE
There is no effective leadership without service.
Service is using what you have [gift, time, money, knowledge] to meet the needs of others without expecting anything in return.
3 Levels of Service
1. Service to God:
Our first service is service to God.
Don’t do the things/wishes of God for men to appreciate, but for God Himself. (Col. 3:23)
2. Service to People:
The gift, power, authority God has given to us is to provide people with, not as a means of exchange.
3. Service to Yourself:
Leaders don’t just create followers; they create other leaders.
