What is the Community of HaShem Worldwide? The Community of HaShem Worldwide is a religious organization founded on the principles which God established with the Sanai Revelation upon Mount Sinai to the Jewish People through the hands of His Servant, Moses. The organization began in Nigeria, in the year 1960 by the divine intervention of God through His Servant, Michael Nwobi Amakaeze, who was our
Kohen Gadol and the General Overseer until his demise in the year 1995. Then, the mantle of leadership fell on Chidi Enyinnaya Amakaeze, who is now at the helm of the leadership of our Community. The Community of HaShem is established worldwide with well-over 250 synagogues in Nigeria alone, and several more throughout the African continent [Cameroon, The Gambia, Ivory Coast, Benin Republic, Ghana, South Africa, Congo, and Gabon]; in Europe, [Britain, Ireland, Italy, and Belgium]; and in America, [California, Baltimore, Dallas, Houston, and New York]. What is our belief? The belief of our Community is firmly rooted upon the word of God written in the Book of Deuteronomy 6:4, which states: “Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord.” This makes our Community believer in all the words that proceed out of the mouth of God, and we strongly advocate that nothing shall be added to it, nor anything subtracted from it, because, God's words are eternal, and His covenant can never be altered. Contrary to popular teachings in the world today, we believe that the word of God can never be “passed away,” “nailed to the Cross”, “abrogated”, “finished”, neither is it impossible for “human observance and compliance”. The Community of HaShem like the name implies, is a group of people with common interest in HASHEM, the everlasting God. Therefore, everything that He has spoken, is a welcome revelation throughout the generations of our Community. After all, God is the “Ancient of Days” and the “Very Rock of Ages,” more still, He is the “Unchangeable God.”
How is it managed? Our Community has so many facets, such as the religious, the academic, the medical, charity and agricultural sectors. This is because we believe that our patriarchs did not only preach the gospel, but they fed the hungry, healed the sick, as well as educated the illiterates in the society. This complex system is managed under the leadership of our Kohen Gadol/General Overseer, C. Amakaeze Ben Aaron. On him rests the spiritual and administrative responsibilities of leading the Community. He is assisted in this duty by other Priests, Levites, and Shaliachim in the discharge of his religious obligations and responsibilities. In the administrative responsibility, the registered Board of Trustees, the Governing Council, and the Management Team assist in seeing to the day-to-day running of the entire Community. There are ordained Ministers – Shepherds, who manage and supervise our numerous synagogues worldwide. We also have the Missionary Mothers' who oversee our Charity Ministry for the less privileged. In the academic sector, we also have a team of Academy Staff that run our various academic institutions, from the nursery, primary, secondary, to our higher theological institutions of learning. Membership
Membership of our organization is open to all, who are willing to be part of this Community, irrespective of creed, religion, culture, color, language, gender, or nationality. When do we congregate? We congregate on the seventh [7th] day of every week, which begins at the sunset of every Friday and ends at the sunset of Saturday, to celebrate the Sabbath of the Lord our God as He commanded in the heart of the Ten Commandments [see Exodus 20:8-11]. The activities of this day are split into two: The Friday Sabbath Lecture, and the Saturday Sabbath Worship. We also congregate for the mid-week prayers held every Wednesday. We also hold other exciting activities like midnight prayers, progress hour, break-through sections, deliverance, marriage counseling, youth fellowship, etc. Details of these vary from synagogue to synagogue. You can contact any synagogues nearest to you for details on when these activities are held. What do we celebrate? The Community of HASHEM Worldwide celebrates and observes all the Feasts and Appointed Times of the Almighty as stipulated in the Torah (see Leviticus 23). She keeps the three annual Feasts of Passover (Pesach), The Feast of Weeks (Shavuot) and Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) unto HASHEM at the 1st, 3rd, and 7th months of the Biblical Calendar, respectively. We equally celebrate the New Moons [Rosh Chodesh] (see Numbers 28:11), as well as the Sabbath of HASHEM, which is a sign and a seal upon foreheads of the people of God that He is their Elohim, and they His people (see Exodus 31:13-17). The Community of HASHEM, therefore, follows Lunar reckonings given by HASHEM to divide times, seasons, and appointed times as commanded in the Torah (see Genesis 1:14). At HASHEM’s annual Biblical Festivals, an influx of pilgrims coming from Europe, the United States of America; and the West African sub-region and Nigeria, gather at the Community of HASHEM Spiritual Headquarters, Nnobi in Anambra State, Nigeria. We also observe the four Fast Days, which are the Fast of the Fourth Month, the Fast of the Fifth Month, the Fast of the Seventh Month, and the Fast of the Tenth Month as recorded in the Book of Zechariah 8:18-19. What is our mission? The mission of the Community of HaShem is to propagate the SOUND DOCTRINE, which is the undiluted word of God throughout the whole world. We hope to achieve this through evangelism and media publications. We are heavily engaged in the production of materials to reach the unreached with the everlasting love of God. Welcome to our Community. Our Aim
We are currently engaged in nationwide media evangelism through television, radio, and print media. Our primary message, which is aptly named “Sound Doctrine,” is intended to espouse the Scriptures, teach, and bring to the people the correct tenets of the faith. These efforts are geared towards bringing the people back to the path of rectitude through sound Bible instructions. We require the cooperation of not only the Governments, but also of the Corporate Bodies, communities, and individuals to achieve this laudable objective. Charity Ministry
The Community of HASHEM addresses her endeavors in these perspectives. We teach, feed, heal and assist people with the word and our contributions. The Community owns and runs Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools situated at Nnobi in Anambra State and in Owerri, Imo State of Nigeria, as well as a Theological Academy in Enugu, Enugu State, Nigeria. She offers scholarship to the less-privileged, counseling, spiritual faith healing and prayer partner ministration services, and provides charitable deeds to widows, orphans, fatherless/motherless, disabled, and the sick, who often cannot afford their own medical and hospital treatment and expenses. The Community of HASHEM is open to aids to upgrade learning infrastructure, such as the gift of computers for education and IT Solutions, etc. Health Center
The Community of HASHEM also has a Health Center, the CHW Sick Bay, which functions largely during the Festivals to provide medical care and treatment for the pilgrims and the locals. In this facility, we provide free medications, free eye checks and tests, eyeglasses, and free dental care. Our Community, in partnership with the Anambra State Ministry of Health, also gives free inoculations to the pilgrims and locals. It is noteworthy to mention that these services are the services of our Community with the assistance of our members, who are professionals in these fields. Ecumenism
In order to play her role and meet her worldwide outreach call, the Community of HASHEM was very active with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), The Organization of African Instituted Churches (OAIC), The Council of Sabbath Day Observers of Nigeria (COSDON), and Seventh Day Observers of Nigeria (SADON). The Community of HASHEM is also a member of the World Council of Churches and is registered under section 28 of the International Registry of World Sabbath Day Observers in Oklahoma since 1974. In 1995, the Community of HASHEM gathered all Sabbath observers in Nigeria in an Ecumenical Convention at Owerri, which was attended and addressed by the then Ambassador of Israel to Nigeria, His Excellency Gadi Golan. The Community also hosted other ambassadors from Israel, including His Excellency, Arie Avidor in the year 2002; His Excellency, Noam Katz, who was at the dedication of our National Synagogue in Abuja, Nigeria in 2003. Again, in the year 2009, the Israeli Ambassador, His Excellency, Moshe Ram, and the Israeli Embassy were well represented at our Theological Academy’s first Convocation ceremony, which was held in Enugu. At 62 years this year, 2023, the Community of HASHEM Worldwide boasts of more than 250 Synagogues in Nigeria alone, in addition to other Synagogues planted and dedicated in many African countries, including Ghana, Cameroon, The Gambia, Gabon, Ivory Coast, to mention but a few. London and some cities, and states in the United States of America: California, Maryland, and Texas, are some of the fortunate cities, states, and countries to have received the covenant message. This is largely due to our members, who immigrated to those countries as mentioned.
