MORNING PRAYER
(with the Morning Offering of Reparation)

In the name of the Father + and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In his great mercy, he gave us new birth into a living hope by his Son’s resurrection from the dead. To him we pray:
– Father, give us your strength.

Turn our eyes to Jesus Christ your Son. May he lead us in our faith and bring it to perfection.
– Father, give us your strength.

We pray for cheerfulness and a generous heart; may we bring joy to our homes, to our work, and to all whom we meet.
– Father, give us your strength.

We pray for all who are working today; be with them at home and in the city, in the factory and in the fields.
– Father, give us your strength.

We pray for those who have no work; we pray for the disabled and the sick, for those who cannot find work, and for those who are retired.
– Father, give us your strength.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Remember, Lord, your solemn covenant, renewed and consecrated by the blood of the Lamb, so that your people may obtain forgiveness for their sins and a continued growth in grace.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

The Lord bless us, and keep us from all evil, and bring us to everlasting life. Amen

THE MORNING OFFERING OF REPARATION
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, (here kiss your brown scapular) and in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass being offered throughout the world, I offer You all my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for my sins and the sins of the whole world.

THE HOLY ROSARY
THE FIFTEEN PROMISES OF OUR LADY TO CHRISTIANS WHO FAITHFULLY RECITE THE ROSARY

The Blessed Virgin Mary promised to Saint Dominic and to all who follow that "Whatever you ask in the Rosary will be granted." She left for all Christians Fifteen Promises to those who recite the Holy Rosary.
Given to Saint Dominic and Blessed Alan

1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall
receive signal graces.

2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.

3. The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell , it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.

4. The Rosary will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire for eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.

5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary,
shall not perish.

6. Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovided death; if he be just he shall remain in the grace of God , and become worthy of eternal life.

7. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.

8. Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plenititude of His graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the saints in paradise.

9. I shall deliver from Purgatory those
who have been devoted to the Rosary.

10. The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in Heaven.

11. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.

12. All those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.

13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death.

14. All who recite the Rosary are my sons and daughters, and brothers and sisters of my only Son Jesus Christ.

15. Devotion of my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.

#"Be strong and remember you are worthy of love and happiness without fear of being hurt in anyway!"

05/10/2016

Our mother of sorrows, with strength from above you stood by the cross sharing in the sufferings of Jesus, and with tendercare you bore him in your arms, mourning and weeping. We praise you for your faith, which accepted the life God planned for you. We praise you for your hope, which trusted that God would do great things in you. We praise you for your love in bearing with Jesus the sorrows of his passion. Holy Mary, may we follow your example, and stand by all your children who need comfort and love. Mother of God, stand by us in our many needs. Pray for us now and at the hour of our death, Amen!

THE MONTH OF OCTOBER
THE MONTH DEDICATED TO THE MOST HOLY ROSARY

According to an account by fifteenth-century Dominican, Alan de la Roche, Mary appeared to St. Dominic in 1206 after he had been praying and doing severe penances because of his lack of success in combating the Albigensian heresy. Mary praised him for his valiant fight against the heretics and then gave him the Rosary as a mighty weapon, explained its uses and efficacy, and told him to preach it to others.
"Since the prayers of the Rosary come from such excellent sources — from Our Lord Himself, from inspired Scripture, and from the Church — it is not surprising that the Rosary is so dear to our Blessed Mother and so powerful with heaven.

"If we consider the power of the Rosary as seen in its effects, we find a great abundance of proofs of its wonderful value. Many are the favours granted to private individuals through its devout recitation: there are few devoted users of the Rosary who cannot testify to experiencing its power in their own lives. If we turn to history, we see many great triumphs of the Rosary. Early tradition attributes the defeat of the Albigensians at the Battle of Muret in 1213 to the Rosary. But even those who do not accept this tradition will admit that St. Pius V attributed the great defeat of the Turkish fleet on the first Sunday of October, 1571, to the fact that at the same time the Rosary confraternities at Rome and elsewhere were holding their processions. Accordingly, he ordered a commemoration of the Rosary to be made on that day. Two years later, Gregory XIII allowed the celebration of a feast of the Rosary in churches having an altar dedicated to the Rosary. In 1671, Clement X extended the feast to all Spain.

A second great victory over the Turks, who once, like the Russians, threatened the ruin of Christian civilization, occurred on August 5, 1716, when Prince Eugene defeated them at Peterwardein in Hungary. Thereupon Clement XI extended the feast of the Rosary to the whole Church.

MORNING PRAYER

God our Father, you promised your kingdom to the little ones and the humble of heart. Give us grace to walk confidently in the way of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus, so that, helped by her prayers, we may see your eternal glory. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

St. Vincent de Paul Quote of the Day

September 29, 2016

“The poor cannot be judged by their outward appearance, nor by their show of wit; for very often they do not look nor seem like intelligent beings, so rough, and homely are they.”
– St. Vincent de Paul

O God, teach me to look beyond external appearances and find you in those who call on me for help.

QUOTE OF THE DAY
Tuesday, September 27, 2016

Indeed, good is not good if one does not suffer in doing it.

Are You patient?
"When the days for Jesus to be taken up were fulfilled, he resolutely determined to journey to Jerusalem, and he sent messengers ahead of him. On the way they entered a Samaritan village to prepare for his reception there, but they would not welcome him because the destination of his journey was Jerusalem. When the disciples James and John saw this they asked, “Lord, do you want us to call down fire from heaven to consume them?” Jesus turned and rebuked them, and they journeyed to another village." LK 9:51-56
Jesus is merciful to the people. While His disciples are angry on the Samaritans.
Jesus rebukes them for this behavior.
And how you behave towards people who do not accept Jesus? Are you then merciful like Jesus? Are you patient? Ask God for the grace of patience and love.
Lord Jesus, thank you for the example of love and patience. Teach me real charity.

Jesus said to the Pharisees: “There was a rich man who dressed in purple garments and fine linen and dined sumptuously each day. And lying at his door was a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who would gladly have eaten his fill of the scraps that fell from the rich man’s table. Dogs even u...
