Today’s Divine Encounter
We were blessed today to have the Bishop of Enugu South District of Assemblies of God, Nigeria, Rev. Hycient Okoye, in our midst to worship and minister God’s word.
He spoke on the story of Ruth, drawing from Ruth 1:6:
“Then she arose with her daughters-in-law to return from the country of Moab, for she had heard in the fields of Moab that the Lord had visited his people and given them food.”
The DS reminded us that divine visitation is God’s deliberate move to turn lives around.
When God visits, He never comes empty-handed
He comes with restoration, abundance, and supernatural turnaround. Judah’s famine ended not by chance, but because the Lord visited His people.
However, Naomi almost missed her moment. While she was still grieving in Moab, God’s visitation had already begun in Judah. Many today also miss their visitation because they are:
Emotionally stuck in the past,
Physically in the wrong place, or
Spiritually out of alignment.
It is not enough to know about divine visitation—you must be positioned to experience it.
As we've stepped into the Mber months, the district superintendent declared that God is set to visit His people again. The same God who reversed Naomi’s bitter situation can also turn yours around. But you must return to the place of divine allocation, not distraction.
Don’t let bitterness, fear, or delay keep you in Moab. Where God is, provision flows.
Finally, he urged the church: “Boldly come out of Moab!”
