In 2022, I took a personality test and thinking about it now, I think it is a test that I believe everyone should take the moment they began navigating life and career.
For me, I took it because work for me is beyond the money . I was at a point in my life then when I wanted to do something that actually aligns with who I am. I wanted to do work that I love not necessarily work because of the perks alone. I wanted to be happy doing what I like, making impact and also making money. And what I found wasn’t far from what I have always known but maybe I didn’t know enough to have a name for it. It also made me realize that there are many paths to the career that truly aligns with my personality type.
For me, this was when I truly understood what it means to be on a path.

Figuring out the right path for me took a very long time. I struggled in school and with my academic because I realized I was doing what I do not enjoy and while I had the options to take a much easier path that aligns, I also didn’t know how to go about it.

It’s been four years since I became sure of my path but if I have fully grasped it is a question that I cannot fully answer yet.

I admire people who do anything just to get by and they don’t mind whether they like it or not. I truly admire them and I wish I am built that way or I could adjust to being that person but I have tried it severally and I got bored and all I could think about was quit.

There are so many things that I wished my younger self knew and probably allowed herself to be and enjoy but I am learning to commit to sharing so that the younger Ruth in others can see and learn. Maybe something my nieces, nephews and younger friends can come to whenever they need something to help them see and make some life decisions.

I love talking an teaching about Relationships, human capital development and anything that improves my life and I want to invite you into my world.
