WHERE ARE THE MEN?
Where have the men been to?
Search for the dutiful father.
Ask the supportive brother to step forward.
Hunt for the loving and faithful husband.
Where can we find the complete man?
For Alas! No one has been found to fill their place.
And the search goes on……....
Try as much as they could, mothers cannot be fathers,
Wives can only be female spouses and not male husbands,
And sisters are only women and not brothers,
Where are the men who will take their rightful places?
Those who are not lost in the crowd,
But live with a purpose and vision?
Who do not abscond from their duties?
But stay at their duty post at all cost?
They are not absent fathers,
But they stay and nurture their families in the way of the Lord?
And their primary devotion is to the Lord before others?
Where are the men who understand the times like the sons of Issachar?
Men who would stick to their godly convictions like the Rechabites?
Nor ever make a casual and unfair compromise in their values like Esau.
Whose appetites and passions are as bridled as Joseph’s?
And their commitment to live what they teach is like Ezra’s?
Men of great faith like Abraham?
And men of great grace like Paul?
Pause…
These lost men have been found in Christ!
Men who have placed their faith in Him who had died for them,
And washed their sins,
And further declared them the righteousness of God in Him,
And only by Christ’s special grace,
They are no longer absent and abusive fathers nor cheating husbands,
Neither are they given to purposeless and destructive living anymore,
And as they look to Christ, they grow into His image every day.
Though they may not be perfect, yet are they growing in holiness,
And in Christ they are enabled to take their rightful place at home, business and
church and the world.
Where are the men?
