THE CROSS IN THE CROSS:
Friends, at one time or the other, we are confronted with challenges of the Cross in the Cross. A battle is always drown between the knowledge of an existing information and the knowledge of what God hath said in the scripture.
The knowledge of information may have been derived from various proven case of study which includes education, what you feel, what you hear, what you sense, what others say, like the doctors, the witches and many other areas of learning.
As information is knowledge, such one could be said to be loaded and rooted in that area of specialisation.
But in our Christian faith, it said we should believe in that which has not been tested or experiment in any laboratory of study. We were asked to believe the solving of an impossibility through faith.
What is Faith? It is the trust, the assurance and confidence that a thing will work out even when it doesn't seem to be real or seen as forth coming, nor working. It is to totally agree and believe in a concept even when it seems not to be working, without wavering.
But naturally, with our natural mind, a person who has a kidney failure or cancer infection, shall always battle with scientific analysis of what the doctor has said, knowing of a truth that scientifically, such sicknesses was an invitation for death, as proven.
It shall therefore be very difficult for the natural mind to have such faith.
Faith is one of the gifts of endowment by the Holy Spirit. See this Scripture
"And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of God" Isa.11:2
Holy Spirit cannot do anything in any life without first surrendering one self to Jesus, for this two are one. Therefore one must first accept Jesus Christ before Holy Spirit will manifests to teach and lead such one.
This type of scenario manifested just exactly when Jesus came to His own to heal them, but His own didn't accept Him. Most of his brethren were still in doubt of a healing which is by faith through the Son of a mere Carpenter, as they were already used to the orthodox way of medication.
But althesame, does it mean that they have not heard of what God has been doing through their Son Jesus the Capinter's Son ? I doubt if they have not heard, for most people at that time waited at the boarder areas of towns and Cities, waiting for the arrival of Jesus Christ. One of such leader was Jairus, a leader in the synagogue. The unbelief of the brethren of Jesus only brought in lack of faith, which made God handicap to heal or help them.
See this confirmation scripture.:
"From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands,?
Is not this the carpenter, the Son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his Sisters here with us? And they were offended at Him,
But Jesus said unto them, "A Prophet is not without honor, but in his own Country, and among his own kin, and his own house.,"Mk. 6: 3-6
Therefore my good friends, we must trust in what God said, whether it is against us or not, we should just keep believing. Listen to this story:
One day, I was going along Ohofia Street, Uwani Enugu, near Robinson traffic light, when an open body tipper vehicle passed by. I noticed that the occupants of the vehicle, were sitting at the rear of the vehicle, and they were all busy, discussing and laughing, facing the tail board of the vehicle as the lorry kept moving. They did not care to turn around to see were the vehicle was going. Now, what cut my excitement was that the said road was full of bumps which made it difficult for the vehicle to move smoothly.
At that juncture, the Holy Spirit spoke to me, showed me that this was faith in practice. But I asked Him to explain it. He said that the passengers of this vehicle have put all their trust on the driver, that even when the vehicle was galloping, which made it's movement uncomfortable, they didn't turn around to know if the driver was doing the correct thing, or whether they were still on the right track, but totally surrendered to the driver's competency, who could by chance have an accident. We should therefore in the same token trust God.
That if God did not intervain in a matter, it should not make us lose our faith, that the important assignment on us was our believe, whether God intervained or not.
Apostle Paul made many prayer petitions to God, asking God to heal him of his bad sight, just like He had manifested to heal lots of infirmities on others through him, but God told him that His grace was enough for him.
Finally, what is that challenge that is making you loose faith, may I inform you that it shall be well again.
We should learn from the story of Joseph who was sold by his blood brothers, yet did not pray against any of them, but continued to show love. God knows you are in that situation, keep moving on and don't lose hope, for at an appointed time He makes things to be well again.
