The vision of CCM cannot be put in its correct perspective without first tracing a brief or origin of the Catholic Church. History has it that at about 312AD during the early days of the spread of Christianity, at the peak of the might of the Roman Empire, Constantine became the Emperor of the Roman Empire. Soon after, the Emperor came in contact with Christianity and decided to adopt it as the st
ate religion of the Roman Empire. Hence, in the year 325AD at the council of Nicea, Constantine succeeded in merging the emergent Christian faith with the existing pagan worship and then declared himself the 1st SUMMUS PONTIFEX (Supreme Pontiff) the official title of Pope till today. Hence, Christianity became the official state region while most people still maintain their pagan idolatrous practice. Thus the devil though the instrumentality of the Roman state succeeded in Christianizing paganism and pagansing Christianity. The result was a mixture of true Christian practices and Roman pagan customs and rituals. This is the origin of what was latter to be known as the Roman Catholic. Note that Christianity did not start in Rome but in Jerusalem (see Act 1:4, 8; 2:1)
From the earliest times of man on earth, God had always made it clear how He is to be worshiped. However, mortal man had its own idea, though contrary to God’s choice, of how to approach God in worship. This invariably resulted in what God views as idolatry and which is abominable to Him. Sometimes man adopts a convenient compromise, which ends up in a strange mix of the godly and the ungodly (2Kings 17:23-24). Unfortunately, God abhors such compromises that are tinged with ungodly and idolatrous practices. Whether practiced knowingly, ignorantly or by compromise. In whatever form false worship is made, destruction follows it. (Isaiah 5:13-14). The originator of false worship is Satan the devil. The heart desire of Satan is to be worshipped like God. (Isaiah 14:12-14). He knows that nobody would worship him under his real name Lucifer, Satan or Devil, so he disguises himself by using some Christian names and terminology (2 Cor 11:14-15). Thus, he has invented a series of false religions and worships known as MYSTERY BABYLON. Hence, all false worship and occultism have their origin from Mystery Babylon. The Roman Catholic system is unfortunately in this group, which practice a mixture of pagan idolatry and Christian worship. Many have become members of this Church by birth and not by choice. Consequently, there are many sincere and faithful adherents of the Catholic Church. The vision of CCM is to present the undiluted word of God to these ones and thus allow them to have a choice between Jesus Christ and Mystery Babylon. The Bible which refers to the totality of this system as “Mystery Babylon the great, the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth” (Rev 17:5) also says, “come out of her my people that you receive not of her plague.” (Rev 18:4). The Catholic Church also does pray a prayer that goes like: “come oh! Holy Spirit and renew the heart of the faithful and rekindle in them the fire of thy love”. One may therefore say that it was in apparent response to this heart cry that the Holy Spirit shone His light upon the hearts of the first group of Catholic Charismatic of our nation-Nigeria, who in about 1984 heard the command and were thus further commended to embark on a mission of deliverance and total freedom for their fellow brethren who are still held captive by mystery Babylon the Great. In a nutshell, the vision of CCM Is “to see that all true believers and sincere seekers of Christ are properly informed of the mother Babylon and daughter Babylon, and to help them come out of her and move into the Glorious Kingdom of God’s Son, Jesus Christ our Lord”
