If your head is correct, then your life will be correct.

AUGUST 10th; MISCONCEPTION “GOD UNDERSTANDS, I AM JUST HUMAN"
TEXT: Romans 6:1-2 KJV
[1] What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? [2] God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Dearly beloved, this is another MISCONCEPTION that has limited lots of believers. Many believers use the statement, “God understands that I am only human,” to excuse repeated disobedience, carelessness, anger, unforgiveness, laziness, or compromise. It is true that God understands human weakness. He knows our limitations, struggles, temptations, and frailties. Hebrews 4:15 tells us that Christ is touched with the feeling of our weaknesses. But God's understanding of our weakness is not permission to remain in it. Grace does not excuse sin; grace empowers us to overcome it.
Paul confronted this misconception in Romans 6:1–2: “Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid.” The fact that God understands you are human should make you run toward Him for strength, not use your humanity as an excuse to stay spiritually undisciplined. When you fall, repent. When you are weak, seek grace. When you are tempted, seek God's help. God does not demand perfection without His help, but He does call His children to growth, obedience, and holiness. Your humanity explains your weakness; it does not define your destiny.

PRAYER: Father, thank You because You understand my weaknesses. Help me never to turn Your mercy into an excuse for disobedience. Give me grace to grow, strength to overcome temptation, and discipline to walk in obedience. Let Your grace transform the areas where I have been making excuses, in Jesus' name. Amen.”

DAILY CONFESSION:
I am human, but I am not helpless. God's grace is sufficient for me. I will not use weakness as an excuse for disobedience. I am growing, changing, and becoming more like Christ. Amen.
