Revelation 2:13 (NKJV)
"I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan's throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells."

The church in Pergamos lived in a morally corrupt environment yet held on to Christ. Today, believers also live in a world filled with moral compromise, misinformation, and pressure to conform. Standing for truth is more challenging than ever. There is increasing pressure to dilute convictions in order to fit in or avoid criticism. However, partial obedience and compromise weaken your spiritual authority. Truth must not be adjusted to suit culture (Romans 12:2).
God calls you to stand firm in His Word without blending truth with error. Your beliefs must be rooted in Scripture, not influenced by trends or popular opinions (2 Timothy 4:3–4).
Choose conviction over convenience. Even if you stand alone, stand with God. When you remain grounded in truth, you walk in clarity, authority, and divine approval.

TODAY'S VERSE:
James 1:8
"A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”

Everything we become today is a result of the decision we made yesterday and everything we will become tomorrow will be determined by the decision we make today. Our daily decisions must show that we put God first. For instance, what do you choose to do first when you wake up in the morning? Do you choose to have fellowship with the Holy Spirit or your phone on the social media? Unless you choose God first, God does not see Himself as the most important to you. God doesn’t pay attention to those who take Him as an alternative. God will attend to those who pay attention to Him first. What about your decision to live a holy life on daily basis? This decision is very crucial because being born again doesn’t make you live an automatic holy life. It requires conscious effort of decision which means you must choose to say no to certain choices and you will say yes to certain choices on daily basis. Holiness even though is the nature of God, is a choice you make. You can decide to commit sin as a child of God. We can say holiness is a choice for a Christian but sin is not a choice for an unbeliever because sin is the nature of an unbeliever.
Salvation or being born again doesn’t automatically take away flesh but subjugates it and gives you the power to say no to the flesh. I have never seen an indecisive holy person. Even though holiness is innate for a born again Christian, he or she must be decisive to live to please God daily.
Therefore, make up your mind today to live for God. Don’t just be a Christian, be a word actor. Avoid everything capable of making you sin against God. Avoid rubbing minds with people of different mindset and believe system that can corrupt your life and faith in God. Choose people of like minds as friends. May the Lord help us in Jesus name!

​PRAYER: Heavenly Father, help me to always make right choice in accordance to your will. Deliver me from making wrong decisions that will destroy my destiny, in Jesus' Precious Name.

Proverbs 8:13

TODAY'S VERSE:
Proverbs 11:2 (NLT)
"Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom."

Pride is the Oldest Sin in the Bible. Before mankind sinned in the Garden, pride already existed in the heart of Lucifer. “For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven. I will be like the most High”(Isaiah 14:13–14). Pride began with a creature who wanted to be equal with the Creator.
1. Pride Can Lead You to the Wrong Direction. Pride says, “I know better than God.” It hides the truth and leads a person into foolish and sinful paths. “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death”(Proverbs 16:25). When pride drives, destruction is the destination.
2. Pride Leads You to Wrong Decisions. When you refuse counsel, prayer, and wisdom, mistakes become unavoidable. "By pride comes nothing but strife, But with the well-advised is wisdom" (Proverbs 13:10). Pride makes decisions fast, humility seeks God’s direction first.
3. Pride Can Destroy Your Family. Many marriages and relationships are not destroyed by lack of love but by the presence of pride. “Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins" (Proverbs 10:12). Pride argues to win humility listens to restore.
4. Pride Can Kill Your Relationship With God. Pride is the greatest barrier between man and God because pride puts self on the throne.“ God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble" (James 4:6). God can forgive any sinner but He will never fellowship with a prideful heart.

TODAY'S VERSE:
Proverbs 16:3 (NIV) ​"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."

​St Augustine said, "Pray as though everything depended on God; work as though everything depended on you."
​The passage today teaches that good plans are not enough. If good intentions are to become reality, then good plans must be made. However some good plans do not always work out. This is because man is not in control of everything. It is a sovereign God who is in control. Man can make the plans, but it is God who has the answer to those plans. It is God who allows those plans to become reality. Also, godly motives are essential if good intentions are to become a reality. Only God knows what people's motives really are.
In addition, the right plans and proper motives must be accompanied by a great commitment for it to become a reality.
When things do not go the way planned or hoped for, God teaches us our error in our lack of planning or our error in wrong plans that go against what He desires for us. ​Amidst busy schedules, it is easy to lose sight of what truly matters. Professional or personal work can consume our thoughts and energies. However, we should ensure to commit our daily tasks into God's hand and allow His wisdom and love to guide us.
Your work should align with God's plans and purpose. Let God influence your work and let your work make God proud.
True success only comes from God. Ensure that you commit your work to God, and you will see Him establish your plans.

"The Ninevites believed in God. A fast was proclaimed, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth"

A. T. Pierson said, "There has never been a spiritual awakening in any country or locality that did not begin in united prayer." True national change begins when a nation turns its heart towards God in humility. When people repent, heaven responds. However, people cannot repent of their sins unless they are convicted by God's Word.
In today's passage, God gave Jonah a second chance to take His Word to Nineveh. The prophet told the people of Nineveh of their impending doom in 40 days. The people believed God, declared a fast, and put on mourning clothes. Even the king joined in the fast, and the people prayed that God would have compassion on their nation. God saw their true repentance and had compassion on the city. He averted the destruction that was supposed to come upon Nineveh.
Many nations need to come into a season of national repentance because of the corruption and unrighteousness that pervade their land. However, many people in these nations do not know the Word of God that can convict them of their sins and bring them to repentance. Therefore, Christians must share the Word of God with the unrighteous in their nation without reluctance. Be ready to get involved in making your nation a transformed society by the power of God's Word from the sins of terrorism, kidnappings, killings, corruption, and the like, as His word spreads across the nations. Decide to share the Word of God with someone in your community today.

TODAY'S VERSE:
2 Timothy 2:4
“No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.”

You need to know that you are not a civilian. You are a soldier. Your life must be different from every other layman. You are a soldier of Christ. Your daily activities must be engrossed with godly activities. There are many things in this world the devil can use to distract and entangle a man but one of them which is the most powerful of them is lust. The lust I am talking about is carnality. This carnality has a goal to achieve in your life. The goal of this lust is to distract your attention and cut off your desires for more of God.
Carnality will make you find it difficult to love the presence of God. You will begin to give attention to worldly activities, n**e pictures online, shrines pictures online, demonic sounds on social media and movies which will make you to waste your time and destiny. The moment you don’t understand this, you will be entangled for a long time before you realize the truth.
If you are such a person who is given to social media, If you are such a person who pays attention to n**es online, if you are such a person who is carnal and loves pleasures, you will never know the Lord. Complacency, enjoyment, satisfaction of the flesh, gratification of the body will only make you an enemy of God because a carnal mind is an enemy of God who cannot submit to God. Such a fellow can never obey the Holy Spirit.
Do you think obedience to the Holy Spirit is not easy? It is easy only if you give yourself to godly activities and godliness. It is very difficult if you give yourself to ungodly or worldly activities such as lusts of the flesh and lusts of the eyes. If you give yourself to a secret life of lust, even if you love God, that love for God will never profit you. If you want your love for God to profit you, you must give your life to activities that will energize you spiritually, quicken you spiritually and motivate you spiritually. There are things you don’t need on the social media. Some sounds on social media are designed by the devil to reduce your love for God and inspire you with some desires for more of the things of the world. If you want Jesus to help you, you must be willing to leave the things of the world for the people of the world.

​PRAYER: Lord, deliver me from every world entanglement and unprofitable distraction, in Jesus' Precious Name.

TODAY'S TEXT:
Titus 2:11-14

TODAY'S VERSE:
Hebrews 4:15-16 (KJV) “For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."

It had been seven years since Stephen believed, but he was still struggling with the same sins. He had cried, prayed, fasted, and confessed to God and to brethren many times, but the sin didn’t go away. At some point, he thought he wasn't genuinely born again, so he answered the call to rededicate his life to Jesus, hoping that the long-standing sin would be conquered. But that also didn’t work. After trying everything he thought he knew, he gave up. “I'll never be able to overcome this sin; I'll just keep asking for forgiveness whenever I commit it," he concluded.
Many youngsters like Stephen have quit trying, and others have found solace in false teachings that soothe their condition of defeat. Teachings that say things like, “sin is no longer a problem; it won’t take a man to hell because it has been destroyed.”
Can one truly be free from sin? Yes, because the Bible says so: “sin shall have no dominion over you” (Romans 6:14). But how does one come to this state? From today's verse, it is clear that both mercy and grace are available at the throne of grace. If you've ever been forgiven, it happened because you obtained God's mercy, and that was possible because you accessed the throne of grace. Many, however, who obtained mercy at the throne of grace did not wait to find grace before leaving, and when the time of need arrived, they failed. If all you get is forgiveness (mercy), you will fail again when confronted with the same sin or issue because mercy is God's distress response—it gets you out of distress on a ‘per-time’ basis. His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Grace, however, must be obtained before the day of need or trouble. Grace gives the ability to resist sin and overcome it. This ability must be learned, requiring time, unlike mercy, which is instantaneous. Remember, it is grace that teaches us how to live righteously, godly, and sober lives in this present world (Titus 2:11-12), and time is needed if learning must be accomplished.
Therefore, go into today determined to remain at the throne of grace until you have found grace to help in time of need.

TODAY'S VERSE:
Isaiah 55:1 "Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price."

In today’s text (John 4:1-9), Jesus told the Samaritan woman at the well that there is a water she could drink that would make her thirst no more. She had been searching for satisfaction in the wrong places, moving from one relationship to another, hoping to fill the emptiness within. Despite five marriages and another relationship, her soul remained thirsty until she encountered Christ.
Many people today are on the same journey—seeking fulfillment in money, pleasure, more and more education, relationships, politics, big titles, and other worldly pursuits. Yet, no matter how much they acquire, there remains a void that nothing earthly can fill. The thirst of the soul cannot be satisfied by material things; it requires a spiritual solution.
Jesus extends the same invitation today: if anyone thirsts, let him come and drink. Those who believe in Him will experience rivers of living water flowing from within, speaking of the Holy Spirit who alone satisfies the deepest longings of the heart (John 7:37–39). True fulfilment is not found in things but in a relationship with God.
When you seek God first, every other thing finds its rightful place. As Scripture declares, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all other things will be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). The water of life is available—come and drink, and your soul will be truly satisfied.

Matthew 21:8-9, 15-17

TODAY'S VERSE:
Matthew 21:15-16 (NIV) "But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple area, "Hosanna to the Son of David," they were indignant. "Do you hear what these children are saying?" they asked him. "Yes," replied Jesus, "have you never read, "From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise"

During a worship service, little David began to sing loudly with eyes closed and hands lifted. Some adults chuckled, thinking he was just playing. But his pure voice and sincere words moved a few people to tears. One usher tried to hush him, but the pastor stopped her. "This is true worship," he said. That day, even the adults learned how deeply God values childlike praise.
In today's passage for meditation, when the Chief Priest and teachers of the Law saw the miracles performed by Jesus in the temple area and the children shouting his praises, they were not happy. But Jesus reminded them of Scripture: "From the lips of children and infants, you, Lord, have called forth your praise". This shows that God values praise from children because it is pure, honest, and full of faith. While adults may become prideful or distracted, children often express worship with open hearts. Jesus affirmed that their voices matter in the kingdom and that their praise is not only acceptable but powerful. God does not overlook the voices of children. He receives their praise with delight. Their simple, sincere praise often reveals the kind of pure-hearted devotion God desires from all His people.
Therefore, we must teach our children to imbibe the attitude of singing praise and expressing gratitude to God in all situations. We do this by living a life of gratitude so the children can also do the same.

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,"

​Some aspects of orientation given to new employees in a company include the company's reporting structure, schedule, values, as well as punishments and rewards. However, despite the orientation given, some employees disregard the company's routine and values when the boss is out of sight.
Mr Emmanuel proved to be a different kind of staff when he was awarded the best staff for not violating the routine of the company for five years. When he was asked the rationale behind his ability to obey the routine for five years, he replied, "I work in this company, but I serve God. I receive instructions here, and I obey God. Even if no one sees me, God sees me; my obedience has been for God's sake."
​In our passage today, Apostle Paul gives instructions on how each member of a Christian household should relate to one another. Children are to obey their parents as God's representatives. Fathers are instructed to treat their children in a manner that does not infuriate them.
Servants are to obey their earthly masters in everything out of reverence for God. ​The obedience that is acceptable to God is that which is done without hypocrisy or eye service. Adjusted and partial obedience is not acceptable to God. Whatever you do as a child, father, servant or staff, do it with reverence for God; this is what God desires, and is acceptable to Him.
As a child of God, let your obedience flow from a sincere desire to please God. Avoid eye service or doing things only for people's approval. God sees the heart and rewards it accordingly. In everything you do, do it as unto the Lord. Whether you are an employee or a boss, be conscious of the fact that you are serving the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the one who will judge and reward you. Let every task be an act of worship, knowing that you serve a just and faithful Master.
