FIRST SUNDAY IN OCTOBER | DPA HOME AND ABROAD
Today’s Sunday service at Divine Possession Assembly International (DPA) was great, powerful, and wonderful in the presence of God.
The Word came with a timely warning from
Psalm 55:12 and Matthew 10:17 under the topic:
“BEWARE OF MEN.”
One of the greatest mistakes we can make in life is to place absolute trust in human beings.
People may love you today and disappoint you tomorrow.
People may celebrate you today and speak against you tomorrow.
People you trusted with your heart may become the very people who use your secrets against you.
This does not mean we should hate people or live in fear. It means we must learn discernment.
The Bible says in Jeremiah 17:9, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked.”
Even Jesus experienced betrayal from someone close to Him. Judas walked with Jesus, ate with Him, witnessed His miracles, and still betrayed Him.
And when the people were given the choice between Jesus and Barabbas, they demanded that Jesus be crucified.
If Jesus Himself was betrayed by someone close to Him and rejected by the crowd, we must understand that betrayal is a reality of human relationships.
Therefore:
Beware of who you tell your secrets.
Not everyone who calls you “friend” has your best interest at heart.
Beware of who you trust with your plans.
Some people can smile with you while secretly waiting for your downfall.
Beware of misplaced trust in family.
Being related to you does not automatically mean someone understands your destiny or will protect your interests.
Beware of familiar faces.
Sometimes the greatest wounds come from people we never expected to hurt us.
But above all, put your ultimate trust in God.
People can fail you, but God will never fail you.
People can change, but God remains faithful.
People can betray your confidence, but God can preserve your destiny.
So, love people, forgive people, help people, and live in peace with people, but let your confidence remain in God.
In this month of October, may God give us the wisdom to know who to trust, what to reveal, when to speak, when to remain silent, and when to walk away.
May we never allow misplaced trust to destroy what God is building in our lives.
BEWARE OF MEN, BUT TRUST GOD COMPLETELY.
What a powerful word for the beginning of a new month at DPA.
If you were blessed by today’s service, share this message with someone who needs this reminder.
DPA HOME AND ABROAD, MAY GOD GIVE US DISCERNMENT!
