*✝️📖TEXT:* Daniel 2: 1-13 (NKJV)

2:1. Now in the second year of Nebuchadnezzar's reign, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; and his spirit was [so] troubled that his sleep left him.
2:2. Then the king gave the command to call the magicians, the astrologers, the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans to tell the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king.
2:3. And the king said to them, "I have had a dream, and my spirit is anxious to know the dream."
2:4. Then the Chaldeans spoke to the king in Aramaic, "O king, live forever! Tell your servants the dream, and we will give the interpretation."
2:5. The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, "My decision is firm: if you do not make known the dream to me, and its interpretation, you shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made an ash heap.
2:6. "However, if you tell the dream and its interpretation, you shall receive from me gifts, rewards, and great honor. Therefore tell me the dream and its interpretation."
2:7. They answered again and said, "Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will give its interpretation."
2:8. The king answered and said, "I know for certain that you would gain time, because you see that my decision is firm:
2:9. "if you do not make known the dream to me, [there is only] one decree for you! For you have agreed to speak lying and corrupt words before me till the time has changed. Therefore tell me the dream, and I shall know that you can give me its interpretation."
2:10. The Chaldeans answered the king, and said, "There is not a man on earth who can tell the king's matter; therefore no king, lord, or ruler has [ever] asked such things of any magician, astrologer, or Chaldean.
2:11. "[It is] a difficult thing that the king requests, and there is no other who can tell it to the king except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh."
2:12. For this reason the king was angry and very furious, and gave a command to destroy all the wise [men] of Babylon.
2:13. So the decree went out, and they began killing the wise [men;] and they sought Daniel and his companions, to kill [them.]

*✝️🗒️THE MESSAGE:* Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon saw himself as the supreme monarch and dictator of his time. The lives of his subjects were athis discretion and his word and command was law. One day, he had a difficult and perplexing dream that rattled his ego. His super intelligence could not unravel his mysterious dream. He therefore sought the assistance of all those who had access to the spirit world by any means to tell his dream and give the interpretation. Nebuchadnezzar's incapacitation and frustration to interpret his dream despite his greatness, and his resorting to divination reveals human emptiness without God. Though Nebuchadnezzar's approach to knowing the interpretation of his mystery dream followed his idolatrous background, his seeking divine help - being human - expresses the fact that divinity is superior to humanity. As Christians, we should always seek God, the Ultimate Reality and Divinity through His Son Jesus Christ, for divine revelation and exposition of things that are beyond the human realm. We should develop the very important instinct ofhearing God's voice to know His will in every issue in our lives through the habit of intimacy with God.

*✝️📖TEXT:* Acts 17:1-16 (NKJV)

The Acts 17:1 Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews.
17:2 Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures,
17:3 explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ.”
17:4 And some of them were persuaded; and a great multitude of the devout Greeks, and not a few of the leading women, joined Paul and Silas.
17:5 But the Jews who were not persuaded, becoming envious, took some of the evil men from the marketplace, and gathering a mob, set all the city in an uproar and attacked the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people.
17:6 But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, “These who have turned the world upside down have come here too.
17:7 Jason has harbored them, and these are all acting contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying there is another king—Jesus.”
17:8 And they troubled the crowd and the rulers of the city when they heard these things.
17:9 So when they had taken security from Jason and the rest, they let them go.
17:10 Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews.
17:11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.
17:12 Therefore many of them believed, and also not a few of the Greeks, prominent women as well as men.
17:13 But when the Jews from Thessalonica learned that the word of God was preached by Paul at Berea, they came there also and stirred up the crowds.
17:14 Then immediately the brethren sent Paul away, to go to the sea; but both Silas and Timothy remained there.
17:15 So those who conducted Paul brought him to Athens; and receiving a command for Silas and Timothy to come to him with all speed, they departed.
17:16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him when he saw that the city was given over to idols.

*✝️🗒️ THE MESSAGE*
In our Bible reading today, we see Paul, Silas and Timothy in Thessalonica and Berea. In fact, the effect of the work was felt everywhere. Once Paul and his team entered a city, those that accepted him would start to rejoice while those that opposed him would begin to wail and scheme against him. In verse 6, the opposing Jews attacked Jason and cried out, “..These who have turned the world upside down have come here too.”Paul and his team left for Berea where they preached the gospel and later left for Athens.Do we have men like Paul that when they enter a city everywhere will quake because they brought the Good News? Why has the Gospel not
reached the whole world to usher in the Lord (Matt. 24:14) despite the years of preaching it? If we all like the brethren in Berea hunger for the word, preach it sincerely and live it, people will declare -“these people who turned the world upside down have come here too.” Let us all wake up and preach the undiluted word to a hungry and dying world. Preach to someone today!

*✝️🙏 PRAYER*: Dear Father, give us the burden to take the Gospel to the unreached of the world to quicken your return. Amen.

*✝️📖TEXT:* Luke 2:22-35 (NKJV)

Luke 2:22 Now when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were completed, they brought Him to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord
2:23 (as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every male who opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord”),
2:24 and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the law of the Lord, “A pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.”
2:25 And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
2:26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.
2:27 So he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law,
2:28 he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said:
2:29 “Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word;
2:30 For my eyes have seen Your salvation
2:31 Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples,
2:32 A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles,
And the glory of Your people Israel."
2:33 And Joseph and His mother marveled at those things which were spoken of Him.
2:34 Then Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary His mother, “Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against
2:35 (yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul also), that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”

*✝️🗒️THE MESSAGE:*
The family Jesus was born into obeyed the commandments of God as given through Moses. According to verse 22 of our reading, Jesus was brought by His earthly parents to present Him in the Temple after Mary's days of purification for a male baby were over (Lev, 12:1-4). They offered a sacrifice as much as they could afford as required by law (v.24;Lev.12:6-8). When Jesus was presented in the Temple, He was celebrated by Simeon, a celebration that gave birth to the Nunc Dimitis, used by the church today.When children are raised in a godly family they out in the society. A biblical example is Timothy whose Christian background was traced to his grandmother - Lois - down to his mother - Eunice (2 Tim. 1:5). Another striking example is that of a Puritan Preacher in the 1700s - Jonathan Edward - whose godly family legacy produced a U. S. Vice-President, U. S. Senators, Governors, Mayors, Judges, Doctors, Professors, Military Officers, Lawyers, Clergymen and many College Graduates. What type of family do you have? Humbly ask God for a blueprint to follow. Today's children will become tomorrow's leaders and what you plant in them today will be exhibited to the world tomorrow!
