The concept of environment and its influence on individuals is a recurring theme throughout the Bible. Whether we like it or not, we are influenced by the places we go to and the company we keep.

King Solomon puts it this way, "As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend" (Pro. 27:17). So as a child of God, the people you surround yourself with will either sharpen your love and hunger for God or cool your affection towards Him. Hence, you must be very cautious of your association and environment.
