Why Would God Allow Heartache?
This is one of the hardest questions people ask.

The truth is that we live in a fallen world affected by sin, human choices, spiritual warfare, and brokenness. Not every painful situation comes directly from God. However, God is powerful enough to bring purpose out of pain.

Bible says:
โ€œAnd we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.โ€
โ€” Romans 8:28

Notice the Scripture does not say all things are good. It says God works through all things for good.

What the enemy intends to destroy you with, God can transform into a testimony, wisdom, strength, and spiritual maturity.

One of the great mysteries of the Christian faith is that suffering and reigning are connected.
The scripture says:
โ€œIf we endure, we shall also reign with Him: if we deny Him, He also will deny us.โ€
โ€” 2 Timothy 2:12

God is not merely preparing believers for earthly success. He is preparing them for eternal partnership with Him.
The trials you endure today may be producing:
- Spiritual depth
- Godly character
- Endurance
- Wisdom
- Authority born from brokenness
- Compassion for others

People who have never suffered often lack the depth to truly heal others. Many of the strongest voices of encouragement are people who survived seasons they once thought would destroy them.

One comforting truth is that God does not ask us to walk through pain alone.

Jesus Christ understand, He understands betrayal, rejection, loneliness, grief, and suffering firsthand. He was mocked, abandoned, falsely accused, beaten, and crucified. Because of this, believers serve a Savior who understands human sorrow intimately.

The Bible says:
โ€œFor we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses.โ€
โ€” Hebrews 4:15

Your tears are not invisible to God.
Your struggles are not ignored by Heaven.

Many people think God is only working during visible breakthroughs and miracles. But often, His deepest work happens in hidden seasons where nothing seems to make sense.

In moments of waiting:
- Faith is developed
- Character is purified
- Motives are tested
- Spiritual roots grow deeper

A tree with deep roots can survive violent storms. Likewise, believers strengthened through hardship often become spiritually unshakable.

Perhaps you are reading this while carrying pain nobody else understands.

You may be battling disappointment, financial struggles, betrayal, delayed prayers, loss, loneliness, or emotional exhaustion.

Do not conclude that your suffering is meaningless.

God may be using this very season to prepare you for a greater purpose than you can currently see. The process may hurt, but preparation often does. The same God who allows refinement also promises restoration.

โ€œAfter you have suffered a little while, the God of all graceโ€ฆ will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.โ€
โ€” 1 Peter 5:10

The Christian journey is not a promise of a pain-free life. It is the assurance that God remains present, purposeful, and faithful even in adversity.

Sorrows and heartaches are not always signs of defeat. Sometimes they are Heavenโ€™s classroom, preparing believers for spiritual maturity, eternal glory, and a deeper walk with God.

One day, many will look back and realize that the seasons they prayed to escape were the very seasons God used to transform them.
And through it all, His grace remained sufficient.

JESUS BREAKS BARRIERS

One of the deepest questions many people silently ask is this:
โ€œIf God truly loves me, why does He allow pain, sorrow, disappointment, and heartbreak in my life?โ€

It reminds me of an encounter I had with a young man some time ago. He was upset and asked, โ€œIf God truly loves me, then where has He been all the while I have been struggling and suffering?โ€ He then told me to leave him alone.

It is a question that has echoed through generations. Even faithful believers wrestle with moments of grief, betrayal, delay, loss, and suffering.

Sometimes the pain becomes so overwhelming that people begin to wonder whether God has abandoned them, forgotten them, or stopped listening to their prayers.

But throughout Scripture, we discover a profound truth: Your pain is never in vain.

Very often, the sorrows and heartaches we desperately want God to remove are the very means through which our character is shaped, our faith is made stronger, and we are prepared for greater glory in Christ.

Suffering is not always a Sign of Godโ€™s absence.
Many people assume that suffering means God is far away. Yet the Bible repeatedly shows us that some of Godโ€™s greatest servants walked through intense seasons of pain.

Joseph was betrayed by his own brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused, and imprisoned before he rose into leadership.

David was anointed king long before he ever wore the crown. Between the prophecy and the palace were caves, rejection, warfare, and heartbreak.

Job lost his children, wealth, health, and reputation, yet his suffering became a testimony of unwavering faith.

Even Jesus Christ Himself was described as:
โ€œ...A man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief...โ€
โ€” Isaiah 53:3

If suffering automatically means that God has abandoned someone, then Christ Himself would have been forsaken. But the opposite is the case: The cross became the pathway to glory!

Though troubles, persecutions, pains and afflictions never come from God but from the world or the devil, God still turns things around for our good.

Romans 8:28 (NLT) "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. "

No one naturally enjoys hardship. Pain stretches us, humbles us, and exposes the weaknesses we often hide behind confidence and comfort. Yet God uses trials the same way fire refines gold.
The Bible says: โ€œBut He knoweth the way that I take: when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.โ€
โ€” Job 23:10

Some lessons can only be learned through brokenness.
Through sorrow, God teaches us:
- Dependence instead of self-sufficiency
- Humility instead of pride
- Compassion instead of harshness
- Patience instead of impulsiveness
- Faith instead of shallow religion

Many believers desire spiritual authority, influence, impact, and divine elevation, but few understand that God often prepares leaders in hidden seasons of pain.

Before public glory comes private refining.

Remember, โ€Ževerything you're going through is preparing you for your blessings.

Keep the faith and remain resilient. Let the holy Spirit comfort and guide you in all your ways. Amen!..

In a world where leadership is often defined by authority, influence, status, power and personal achievement; the Bible presents a completely different perspective of true leadership. According to Scripture, genuine leadership is not about dominating people, but one built on service, humility, compassion, and sacrificial love.

You might say; "but I'm not a leader".

According to Deuteronomy 28:13, "The Lord shall make thee the head (leader) and not the tail (follower); and thou shall be above only".

It might interest you to know that God has already conferred on you the position leadership.

That's the covenant blessings of God to all His people, as long as you keep to His commandments.

You might not be a Pastor, President, CEO, Owner of industry, employer of labour or have a family you lead. Etc.
Atleast, you lead yourself, and that's the foundation. So it is essential that you imbibe this culture.

True leadership is not about seeking recognition or controlling others; it is about serving people with a sincere heart.

At the center of this model is "๐—๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜‚๐˜€ ๐—–๐—ต๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜", the greatest servant leader of all time, who demonstrated that greatness is found in selfless service to others.

As followers of Christ, we are called to lead with compassion, humility, genuine care, and sacrificial love rather than control, pride, or selfish ambition.

Jesus Christ remains the perfect example of servant leadership. In Matthew 20:26โ€“28, He taught His disciples that real greatness comes through serving others:

โ€œWhoever wants to become great among you must be your servantโ€ฆ just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.โ€

Jesus dis not only preach these principles, He lived out His words through His daily actions. He showed compassion to the hurting, healed the sick, fed the hungry, forgave sinners; even those bound for condemnation, and humbled Himself to wash the feet of His disciples (John 13:1โ€“17).

Ultimately, He demonstrated the highest form of servant leadership by laying down His life for humanity.

His leadership was never driven by pride or selfish ambition, but by love, humility, and a genuine desire to help others.

Now, let's look at the Characteristics of a Servant Leader

To lead like Christ, a personโ€™s heart must be shaped by love for God and sincere compassion for people. Philippians 2:3โ€“5 captures the essence of servant leadership:

โ€œDo nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselvesโ€ฆ Have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.โ€

A true servant leader:

- Listens attentively before speaking with understanding and compassion.

- Prioritizes the needs and well-being of others above personal gain.

- Leads by example rather than by authority alone.

- Corrects with love, wisdom, and patience instead of harshness.

- Encourages and uplifts others.

- Serves sacrificially with joy and sincerity, not out of obligation.

- Demonstrates humility even in positions of influence and responsibility.

Servant leadership is about influencing lives positively and helping others grow spiritually, emotionally, and personally.

Servant leadership is not a sign of weakness; it is a reflection of spiritual strength and maturity. It requires putting others first, showing empathy, extending grace to others, and being willing to sacrifice personal comfort for the benefit of others.

To lead like Christ means to lead with love.

Jesus Christ showed that the strongest leaders are not those who seek to be exalted, but those willing to humble themselves for others.

This was the leadership style of Jesus Christ, a leadership rooted in love, grace, and humility.
When leaders choose to serve instead of dominate, they inspire trust, unity, growth, and transformation in the
lives of the people they lead.

True Christian leadership is not about being above people, but about lifting people up.
