FOR SURE OUR WORLD IS FILLED WITH LOTS OF UNUSED TALENTS HIDDEN AND WASTING AWAY...The real tragedy of this life is not in having one talent but in the failure to use that one talent you have received. Even that begger you see has got talent ... You need to discover and put your talents into good use before it's too late because you will be called to account even for wasted and wrong use of the talents given to you.

As we pray for all the Faithful departed today (2nd November), I want you to always have it in your mind that DEATH is UNAVOIDABLE but ETERNAL DEATH is AVOIDABLE, you must take concrete steps now to avoid external death. When the trumpet sounds where will you be?

“Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill you. He replied, Go tell that fox, I will keep on driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal" [Luke13:31-32].
Child of God you saw the boldness with which Jesus confronted Herod's threats? Don't allow the fear of men divert your destiny. Let this be clear to you, those who know their God don't fear the threats of mortal men. So confront these blood sucking evil men and women of our time with boldness. I enjoin you to respect but don't fear any man or woman.

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind’...You shall love your neighbour as yourself’. The whole of the Law and the Prophets depends on these two commandments” [Matthew 22:37-40]. Based on my personal experiences, research and events of these past few days, I can authoritatively say that in this socio-political arrangement called Nigeria, it's near impossible to find true or genuine love or relationships. Everywhere I turn the behaviours I see portrays: MAN'S INHUMANITY TO MAN, MIGHT IS RIGHT, AND SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST...this is the sad reality of our life together here. God help us!

"...give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God" (Matthew 22:21). It's clear, TAXES belong to Caesar, WORSHIP belongs to God. Unfortunately, today many people worship money and fame, as such, give to Caesar what belongs to God. They give both their taxes and worship to the Caesars of this world and God is gifted with nothing...their life is bereft of God. What a shame!

I tell you sincerely, those who know and trust in their God do not fear men. Child of God, in view of the prevailing circumstances of our world today, you need to urgently confront, redress and hydra-headedly attack your fears. SHALOM! FR. JM NWOKOLO

Let us be clear about this - when we receive forgiveness for our sins, our sinful nature remains. So, we continue to struggle with our human weaknesses, habits and compulsions that pull us back to sin. DON'T BE DISCOURAGED, SOLDIER ON UNTIL VICTORY IS FINALLY ACHIEVED BUT THAT WOULD BE WHEN YOU DIE.
