MUST THE LAW OF MOSES SAVE US?
The question itself is wrong because Moses had no law for humanity. The proper question should be – must we keep the law that Yahweh gave humanity through Moses for salvation? Yes, Yahweh will never use another word to command humanity other than the Law of Moses. All prophets considered the Word of Moses as the Word of Elohim. The Messiah rebuked the Jews for twisting the Law of Moses (honor your parents) and warned them that the attack on the Law of Moses made the word of Yahweh of no effect Mark 7:9-13. Yahshua quoted Moses, (Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of Yahweh) to survive the temptation Deut. 8:3-4, Mat. 4: 4.
The word of Yahweh was in the beginning before Moses received the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments existed before Moses because the Word of Yahweh existed from the beginning of the world. The Ten Commandments were the nature in the heart of Adam. Then, Adam did not have an earthly parent to practice Honor your father. He did not have a neighbor to practice do not steal, bear not a false witness against your neighbor, etcetera. All his neighbors were in his loin; the Ten Commandments were within him also. When he ate the forbidden, he transgressed all the Ten Commandments and cor. In other words, Adam hated Yahweh and his neighbors (the entire world within his body.)
Yahweh judged all sinners (those who transgressed the Ten Commandments) before the flood. Adam, Cain, and all the people before the flood had the Ten Commandments. Cain was guilty of murder; he transgressed thou shall not kill when he killed Abel. Noah kept the law to be perfect in his days. Yahweh told him to construct the Ark because he wanted to separate Noah from the sinners. The Ark-making was the act of trust in the revelation of Yahweh. The Ark was a separator between the righteous and sinners; it also served as a saving means for the righteous.
Noah was righteous before Yahweh told him to make the Ark to separate his family from sinners. If the sinners had joined Noah in the ark, Yahweh would have ordered Noah to do another thing to get away from them. The Scripture says the wicked shall not assemble with the righteous. Abraham kept the Ten Commandments before the birth of Moses. Joseph kept the Ten Commandments when he avoided his adulterous mistress in Egypt.
Yahweh spoke of The Ten Commandments as His Service to Pharaoh before Moses received the Ten Commandments. Yahweh said, 'Let my people go that they may SERVE ME.' The Ten Commandments represent his love; he keeps it for thousands of generations. All these men practiced the Ten Commandments before the birth of Moses. The Egyptian slavery suppressed the Ten Commandments; When Yahweh freed Israel from slavery, the service commenced. Moses made the two tablets of stones that Yahweh wrote his words, the Ark, and other furniture; he was happy.
Yahweh had the Ten Commandments he wrote with his finger. The word of Yahweh is The Witness. The Hebrew word for WITNESS is EDUWTH or Ed Josh 22:34. The King James Version rendered Eduwth, Witness; other translations rendered it, Testimony. Either testimony or witness, both refer to the Ten Commandments, Ex 31:18. Yahweh instructed Moses to put the Testimony (Ten Commandments) in an Ark, and the Ark became THE ARK OF TESTIMONY Ex 25:16-22, 30:6. Moses took the Ark into the Tent; it became THE TENT OF TESTIMONY Numb 1:50.
Yahweh approved the work of Moses and caused his fire-like glory to fall and extend about half a kilometer around Ark. THE IN CAMP was where the glory covered, and THE OUTSIDE CAMP started from where the glory stopped. The fire was their light by night and shelter in the day in the wilderness. The word of Yahweh was the light that lightened the face of Moses and covered a distance of about half a kilometer radius from the Ark. Israel considered the distance from the Ark to the end of the light as A Sabbath day Journey.
